One of my usual places to get fruit tea in flushing. The prices are pretty good (~$6) for the large size and most includes a topping. There is a kiosk to view the menu and order using card/Apple Pay. My usual is the green grape tea with nata jelly but this time I wanted to try something new. I went with the grapefruit and peach tea with jelly. The 30% was still pretty sweet so I'd get 0% next time for this particular drink but the tea was refreshing and fruity with a nice texture of the jelly. You could taste both the grapefruit and peach which is rare in most mixed flavor fruit drinks. More bubble tea stores need to start offering guava fruit teas because the one here was absolutely refreshing and delicious! There is a very palpable guava taste, with actual guava fruits bits floating around. The muscat grape tea is also a classic, although felt less sweet even with 100% sugar. Nothing life changing, but for sure a reliable boba you can count on to satisfy your cravings! The taro waterfall with brown boba had a nice authentic taro flavor with an outer layer of taro paste. I thought the milk tea was a black tea base, given how strong the tea flavors were, but I double checked and it was green tea! The boba was super chewy and well cooked, but surprisingly not too mushy. With their fruit teas and decor, this place kinda reminds me of Hey Tea. The guava slush with crystal boba was also solid. The slush didn't have random chunks of ice and the guava flavors/juice weren't too sweet at 50%. The crystal boba is the commercial type but went well with the fruit theme. Really appreciate their decently priced boba!! I feel like the sizes are pretty comparable to other boba shops, but its only about $5-6 for each drink (vs $7-8 elsewhere). There is a kiosk for you to order, or you can order with staff. Drinks came out pretty quick and there is a good amount of seating available. I tried a bunch of drinks there and decided to get my Pittsburgh go-to here so that I could compare them. We got: Mango Yogurt with Crystal Boba (4/5), Jasmine Milk Green Tea with Boba (3.5/5) I was super happy that the jasmine milk tea I got had a pretty strong tea flavor. I was somewhat scared that it was going to be too milky but the tea shone through! The problem with the drink was the boba. They were way too soft, making chewing the boba a bit of a jaw workout because chewing did nothing. You chewed and chewed to no avail and I'm pretty sure I just ended up swallowing some of those bobas whole. The store itself was a little weird because it's part bakery in the front of the store with the boba store in the back. There's a screen where you can self-order using a credit card and you can buy with cash in-person. Something to pay attention to, though, is that a lot of their drinks come with toppings already. My jasmine milk tea came with boba already, but I didn't know so I added additional boba, which meant that I had DOUBLE of the boba that I found to be too soft and thus double the jaw workout. Kinda crazy that I'm saying this but this place is probably one of the more decently priced boba places. I'm not sure if I'll actively want to go back, but I would be willing to if I were in the area (but I'd probably go for a fruit tea next time)! read more
