First time here. Very loud!!! The waiter was rude! The waitstaff acted annoyed at everyone. As soon as we got finished eating they brought the check and the 10 minutes we were finishing up our drinks he kept coming by giving us dirty looks trying to get us to leave. The menu selections had no combo meals and the food was very greasy. We had the margarita pitcher and it tasted like I MIGHT have had a splash of tequila in it. Spent the next day feeling very sick. Visit 28 MAY 23: I happen to be in the area and I had the hankering for some Mexican. It was either this or Peking. I almost went to Peking, but I chose Mangos. The restaurant is in a shopping center strip mall. The windows are heavily tinted, it gives off the impression that it's a bar. I go in and it is semi dark but not uninviting. I was seated and immediately given chips and salsa. The chips were piping hot which was nice. I ordered the Bistec Guisado. A lot of the pricing seemed above what I expected for a tex - Mex place. The usual combo selections were not present on the menu. At least what I could see. I did see something that mentioned combos but that seemed like it was on the lunch only page of the menu. They did have a wide variety of options (See menu pics). I just knew I wanted to at least try their rice and beans along with the entree. I didn't wait that long but while waiting I noticed I was never issued any silverware. So I got up and swiped one of the many that were on the table near to me. Food came out and it was decent. I noticed they used store bought corn tortillas. (Hand made tortillas were an option had I chosen those specific menu items like sopes). I still happily ate my food with these store bought variety. Overall the flavor was decent and I could not finish it - there was an ample amount of food. And for the money, you get great value in the amount. Tried a new item off of the new menu, last night. Three flauta's, with grilled chicken, served with black bean and corn salad. The flauta's are deep fried and covered in white cheese sauce. They were so good!!! I've been eating at Mango's since the day they opened. The staff is always awesome and the food never disappoints. They have daily drink and food specials. Eh...It's okay Quality cooking with bland seasoning and dressings. With the exception of the "fried peppers" nothing we had was "bad" but at the same time nothing was better than just okay. Sub par service, and for the portions we received...it was expansive. Was excited to try this place and loved it! I had the Senor Cliff entree - chicken, shrimp, and chorizo, onions, peppers, tomatoes, served fajita-style on a sizzling plate. Fantastic! Hot and tasty. Decided to go out for dinner with new neighbors. Mangos is close to the neighborhood so we selected it. The reviews were not all good but we have been there before and thought it was ok. Margaritas are good and food is fine. My complaint is mainly with the customer service experience. I was just in there ordering TO GO, and had a very impersonal experience. In the middle of being rung up, my cashier was speaking Spanish with another one of his co-workers and laughing. Personally, I think it is very rude to have a conversation in Spanish in front of a customer if you don't know whether or not they speak that language. It's common courtesy. I am giving you my money, be polite and communicative with me. It is not too much to ask. From the 15 minutes I spent just ordering TO GO food for my first time ever, I can say I was not impressed with their service. Who knows what it's like to do Dine-In. I likely won't give them that opportunity after this experience. read more

Best place in town!! Salsa is always on point while occasionally spicy. Which we don't mind. Also if you want real spice they Carnitasdo have a complimentary tomatillo salsa, just ask for it. Shows not to listen to idiots .What a surprise the best authentic Mexican food anywhere . we have been to many with most being a big flop especially this Nashville area . We have went there many times since . The steak Fahitas about the best ever had . They carmelize their onions to perfection . Their homemade guco excellent and fresh . We have by now tried most everything on their menu and not been disappointed not one time . We called in a to go order and were told to give them 15 to 20 minutes. That's understandable. We arrived and went in to pay and nobody seemed to know where are order was so we waited. We waited so long that three different employees asked what we needed. Nobody communicated with each other or us. First time for us. Fly in my wife's soda, that's a problem. Host replaced the soda but 'attention all restaurant owners', you have just a couple of options here to redeem yourself when this happens, #1 no charge for the soda, #2 and probably the best option, your meal is free of charge. Mango did neither. Food was pretty good, thought it took awhile considering it was Mexican food which is mostly already made and just had to be put together. This was our first visit so I am hoping it was just a bad night. It took 12 min for anyone to get our order. The chips and salsa were another 15 minutes with the food coming out about 5 minutes later. We never got our appetizer. The food was bland so I waited for some time trying to get a waitress's attention for sour cream and a little cheese as my nachos were dry. When I finally got the spicy cheese dip it was like water. We waited a good 15 min for our bill and finally went up without one. We then had to get the appetizer removed. This place is over priced, has almost no service and bland food. Have tried this place several time. Last time we said never again. Was convinced by a friend to give them one more try. NEVER AGAIN!!! Placed a Togo order and was told 45 minutes. No problem. Waited another hour at the restaurant for our food. Finally got it, to get home and have a dinner combo missing. This, after the lady that took my order read it back to me on the phone, when I got there, and before she handed me the food. My husband split his dinner with me. It was lacking in flavor. After reading the other reviews I feel like maybe I just hit this place on an off day. The waiter we had seemed very new to food service and kept forgetting things. The salsa and chips were very good. Our order came out wrong, even after we told the waiter twice what we wanted. My meal tasted good, but not great. However, the dough on the chimichanga was not completely done throughout. I would normally give a place like this 3 stars, but the after-effects of the food later that night warranted 2 stars. IF your stuck in Lebanon (may the god's have mercy on your soul) and you're craving mexican food this place is one of a few options in the area. Out of the 3 places I'm aware of this would be my 3rd choice - and I don't mean that as negative as it sounds. The service is good and staff friendly, the place is clean and orders come out fast but the food - at least what i had - is forgettable. Visiting from out of town. Great place! Wonderful food and drinks at super reasonable prices and a really friendly vibe. I'm from California where the Mexican food is plentiful and cheap so I'm a Mexican food snob, for sure. Mangos would compare to any decent Mexican restaurant in my town. I want to point out that the bartender, Mike, was especially competent and nice. The margarita on the rocks was exemplary. It wasn't too busy and we chatted a bit about the town. He told me about local Cumberland University, which has produced over eighty congressman and senators. I had no clue such a small town had such a prestigious college. The next time I'm visiting Tennessee, I'll be sure to stop in again. read more
