I went there to pick up an order. The guy up front was very rude and loud when I tried to pick it up early. yelling at me that I couldn't get any order until the exact time. I understand if a store has rules but the person displayed very poor customer service skills and got all up in my face, honestly thought he was about to get physical on me. Another Manhattan Bagel like every other Manhattan Bagel; this one in North Wales, PA. It's in a commercial strip center with big sign out front and plenty of parking. Service was friendly and efficient. Just as with the last one visited, it was out of onion bagels and I had to settle for garlic with veggie spread. Decent taste, but needed a breath freshener afterwards. The biggest issue with their bagels is the lack of crispness in the outer shell. These are soft, so while there are loads of toppings, the texture is inferior to the style I prefer. Not bad overall, just not my favorite. Store was clean and bright, so there's that. read more

I did a toogoodtogo order and I'm surprised by the quantity! It was $5 for 12 bagels, it looks like they gave a variety of options; garlic, poppyseed, plain, and blueberry. The value alone is 5/5. The only reason it's a 4/5 is because the older man working gave me attitude. When I arrived I said I was picking up a toogoodtogo order which he misinterpreted as 'to go order' which is an innocent mistake but it seemed like he got mad at me for calling it a toogoodtogo order when that's the name of the app... and then said I need to call it a mystery bag. The younger worker then came up to me and said I called it by the right name and doesn't know why the older man reacted that way. Despite that I was given my bagels rather quickly, I would order again probably at the lansdale location as it seems like the older man has a tendency to be less than kind to the customer based on the previous reviews. read more

My son refuses to get a bagel from anywhere else - this location is always his first choice, even with other manhattan bagel locations being closer to our house. All employees are extremely friendly, and the bagels are always fresh. They don't overload them with cream cheese which is also a huge plus. Definitely recommend! read more

I would give zero stars if possible. The owner or the older man with gray hair taking orders is a complete and utter a $$hole!!!! We walked out after he yelled at us to walk through the door fast and yelled at us for calling or an original instead of plain bagel as that's what they call it where my wife is from!!! We left before finishing ordering and he had no problem tearing up our order paper and crumbling it and throwing it behind him. I'm in shock of how disrespectful he was to my mother and us. I am so sick of hearing my wife complain about this place every time she goes here. I won $200 in Manhattan Bagel gift cards in a golf outing and when she uses them here it is always an issue. Several times the owner refused to accept the gift card ,flat out said they wouldn't accept the gift card as payment ( illegal) and other times he says the machine isn't working. Today she said he looked at the gift card as if he had never seen a Manhattan Bagel gift card in his life. I continue to ask why she goes to this location and obviously it is for convenience but the new Lansdale location is so much better. I plan on regifting the remaining gift cards and just paying cash at M Bagels in the future! read more

I think Manhattan bagel is really good, but not great. I love coming here for a bagel sandwich, but their bagels are never crunchy enough (Even if I ask them to toast it twice) and neither is their bacon. However, it's a great choice for a relatively quick breakfast. Plus, you can always call ahead to order and save more time! This location has great friendly staff! read more

After being a customer for almost two years i have decided to eat elsewhere. The owners are a father and son duo who oversee four locations. The father is generally at this location most days i visit. I have noticed in the past he yells at his employees in front of customers a bit too often. I have overlooked this behavior until today. While in line to place my order the abruptly picks up the phone and takes an order (leaving me in flux). My order was partially written on a sticky note for the employees. When the employee glanced at the note, he asked me a question to clarify what i wanted. The owner then puts his hand in front my face as to shhh me. So, the yelling at the employees in the company of customers, answering the phone to take another order with out consideration for the person in front of him and then putting his hand in front my face was the last straw. Food is good, if not a bit over priced compared to local bagel shops that aren't part of a franchise (Fill a Bagel, the Bagel House, etc). Service is good, especially when the owner is not present. This is my go to local bagel place. Always fresh and great choices. I have to deduct a star (should be a few stars but this was the first time I experienced a problem) because I ordered a doz and a half bagels and requested they all be sliced. Most of the bagels were cut so poorly that they looked like the way you would cut a pumpkin top off to carve a pumpkin. Just a small part of the tops were cut in half. It totally messed up a sandwich or spreading cream cheese on them. FYI...if you request having them cut then check the bagels before you leave the store. So, seven months after my prior visit, I saw that the place is under new management. Its location is perfect for my morning commute breakfast, so I decided to give it another try. The place is as good as such places get. Service was fast, but not sloppy. People behind the counter were smiling and strangely full of energy. I got lox and cream cheese on a toasted sesame bagel, it was done perfectly. I did not get skimped on lox, the bagel was toasted warm and not burned. The only mistake was that the bottom portion of the bagel had 1/8 inch left uncut, but a quick pull by my bear hands cured that problem. While seating and eating there, I saw about half dozen other patrons come inside and place their orders. Regular was in and out in a minute, newer people thought long and got their orders done very expediently after placing them. Overall, it is a very good place to stop by when needing a bagel shop. read more

Pretty well managed now that there's a differ owner. The food is always fresh and they get it out pretty quick. I usually get the Ellis Island on everything bagel. This is a very tasty sandwich, I do wish they put a few more slices in there. Sometimes the sandwich does feel a bit cheap but it's still very tasty and comes out very hot. They have a good assortment of bagels and their bagels are very flavorful. This is a pretty nice spot to stop by, grab a quick, fresh breakfast and roll out. read more

What I don't love is this specific location due to the rude and unprofessional owner/mgr. this "gentleman" also runs/ran the Abington, which I no longer patronize either. Yelling at your employees in front of customers is inappropriate. Having to repeat your order because he's focused on everything but your business is disappointing. This occurred on multiple visits. I have lots of choices for breakfast where my business is valued. Love the food, don't love this location. read more

I went a few days ago for the first time and I was very dissatisfied. The man working the cashier was very rude. He handed me my breakfast sandwich on the wrong type of bagel and I told him but he did nothing about it and was rude when I told him. This was my first time at Manhattan bagel and I most admit I haven't had service like this in a while. The cashier Iliyas customer service was very pleasant. I didn't let the cashier know this was my first visit. I was given coupons (which I love) and told about their deals and also how I saved two dollars on lunch. My food was awesome and I like that they sell turkey bacon. I would recommend others just as I was recommend by my sister to try MB out. read more

The service was great, and they gave me a punch card: if you buy enough lunch bagels, you get one free. Great bagel after an intense cycling class!! Everything was fresh and my egg and cheese bagel hit the spot and was a super affordable breakfast! My friend took a dozen home and their prices aren't too bad. I've seen cheaper, but overall not bad given the freshness and quality of the bagel. The only complaint is they don't cut their bagels in half well it was more lie 75% of the bagel and 25% instead of a nice cut in half. Overall though, SOO good! read more

I would give this sorry excuse for a Manhattan Bagel zero stars if I could. Stopped in to grab coffee and a bagel with cream cheese and ended up waiting over 25 minutes for my food. No excuse/apology/"miss, your order is coming up." There were only 5 customers (with normal-sized orders, not catering) in front of me! The place itself is tiny and not very clean. There is minimal seating and the tables were dirty and covered with crumbs and used napkins. They do not take any national offers (not a big deal) and don't make any of the special bagels like the CA powerbagel, chocolate chip, asiago, onion (not even a special variety!), or bialys or bagel sticks, ALTHOUGH they DO list them on the menu, along with prices (much bigger deal). The coffee was cold (it had obviously been sitting in the carafe for a long time) and barely passed as colored water; usually, the House Blend is medium-bodied and decently flavored. The coffee here was incredibly weak and tasted off. I would almost venture that they used a generic/less expensive coffee blend and just passed it off as the official blend. The everything bagel was so salty that I had to guzzle 2 whole bottles of Nestle Pure Life in my car. And I hate drinking plain water! It was also way too dough and did not have the nice characteristic shell (the entire reason for going to a Manhattan Bagel in the first place versus Brueggers or Einstein's or Panera's). It came to $4.54 for a small coffe wannabe and a barely edible bagel with cream cheese that I threw away half of. Avoid at all costs and go to Panera's across the street. read more

Everything in this place is excellent, except for the boss. Every time I stop by, I witness him bullying and yelling at his staff. I feel bad for the girls that work there, because they do their job perfectly and don't deserve to be yelled at. But the most obscene fact is that he yells at customers, too! The prices are ridiculous (which I realize is the chain's fault, not this particular franchise); I spent $8 on a bagel sandwich and an 8 oz OJ! Stopped at this store today in the AM along with other customers. My order was given to another customer by mistake. The customer immediately returned and informed a person that seemed to be in charge of the mistake and found his order. Then calling out my order again, he tried to give me the same item that the previous customer returned. The transformation to a first rate bagelry and the duplication of the quality existent in their Willow Grove location at 611 and Park Avenue warms the heart to go with the bagels. Freshness and taste are exemplary. Staff is congenial. So glad they took over this facility. YUM!!! read more

Had a terrible experience a couple weeks ago at this Manhattan Bagel in North Wales PA. Specifically with the older Russian guy that took over the place and runs it. I've been a regular customer there, literally for years. On this Sunday morning around 7:15am when I stopped in to pickup some bagels, his attempt at customer service included chiding me for paying with a debit card. He initially asked if I had cash, which I didn't. I was fine with that, and very polite. He did take my card and process the payment, but then he instructed me that he would prefer me to pay with cash in the future. I told him again, very politely that I normally use my debit card for all my purchases, and that I was essentially paying him with cash directly from my bank account. He chose to then tell me that NO it was not cash, and wanted to continue to instruct me in some way about how how to pay when I visit his store, and I guess, his dislike for some fee he may incur when accepting debit cards presented as payment. I chose to walk out with my bagels and not get further into this silly discussion. It was pretty inappropriate. I can tell you that I will not return to this store. The bagels are good, but I can get the same quality bagels at MB's Chalfont location, and not have to deal with an Owner/Manager/cashier that chooses to argue with customers about how they pay. read more
