I confess, I was on my way to Quiznos only to find that it had closed, so I wandered over to Manhattan Bagel - boy did I have some good luck! Decent prices, quick service, really tasty bagels. Only complaint was it's kind of hidden and the inside is very cramped. Other than that, highly recommended! Dunkin Doughnuts is right next door as well. I'll definitely be returning. I have always eaten here for bagels in the morning. Not even realizing the entire time i have been missing out. They have a very great line of food for a bagel shop. I have eaten their cheesesteak and their new breakfast burrito and let me tell you... WOW is all i can say. The breakfast burrito is the single best i have ever had. If you're looking for a quick bite, or something healthy that will fill you up, this place will never fail you. Everything in this shop is very clean and organized and the staff is great as well. Pro: Service was good, even while it was very busy for Sunday brunch. Good job guys. Cons: they should be sued by NYC for even using the name Manhattan for this sub-par "bagel" place. Ok, I admit I'm a Jew from NY, so I'm a bit picky but... The bagels are soft like bread, not doughy like an authentic bagel. No whitefish, or anything else except lox spread (and they had run out of that...). This does not even BEGIN to compare to Brooklyn Bagels in Arlington. Sorry guys... i used to be a big einstein bagel fan but they are few and far between. manhattan bagel is the best and closest thing to einstein's. there is always a line in the morning. i wish they stayed open a little later so i could buy them the day before. they have a good selection. all of the regular flavors and sometimes they have a specialty flavor. my favorite is the maple oat (of course this would be my favorite because it is so rare). their bagels are on the smaller side (my bf has to eat two) and nice and chewy. all of the breakfast bagels with egg, cheese, etc. are made with the real thing on a griddle (as opposed to egg beaters in a microwave). they also have 'healthy' bagel thins which are pretty good too. i like the mushroom and asparagus one. they have bagel dozen and half dozen deals that i frequently purchase. my only peeve is that they charge $1 to hand slice the bagels. you would think a place like this would have a machine to cut them. i was impressed that they were open this year on thanksgiving. there are a few tables inside. great breakfast spot in vienna! read more

What I don't like about this place is the staff. They just don't seem to want to be there. I've been coming here for years and there is never any recognition, except for one lady. I like their "thintastic" bagels and if you order from the menu it's fine but I don't always want those toppings. I love lox and cream cheese but not all the calories that come with that. Today once again I ordered a thin bagel with lox and light cream cheese. Cream cheese very light on one side only and nods all the way from the person who took the order. Well, I got a regular bagel (despite seeing that it was and asking to make sure it was a thin one) with lots of cream cheese. Ugh! The food is ok but I find the service sorely lacking! Although they run out of whole wheat everything pretty early in the day, if you call ahead before 11am, they will make extra for you, or at least set aside whatever they have. Coming from AZ where all bagels taste like airy bread, I LOVE me a bagel from Manhattan Bagel. Even though it's sister company is Einstein Bagels and they are in AZ, the bagels are NOT the same. People on the East Coast have no idea how good they got it. Always friendly staff, fresh hot bagels, quick service and very tasty. I love that they use fresh eggs and not microwaved eggs. I have always ordered breakfast bagel sandwiches and bagels with cream cheese so I can't speak of their lunch sandwiches. Their bagels are a staple in our house. read more

My husband and I went in to get breakfast to go. He ordered a breakfast sandwich, and I got a bagel. I didn't personally look in the bag, but my husband said it felt heavy, so there was no reason for him to suspect that half of the order was not included. When we got home and realized this, I tried calling the store, but either the phones were down and they just didn't answer. (Twice.) I filled out a customer survey online instead and specified what the problem was, asking for someone to contact me about it. After an email asking me to say which half of the order was missing, I was told that there was nothing they could do about it since the registers don't specify what kind of bagel was purchased. The bagels are OK, but the service is very poor. We ordered two bagels with cream cheese, not exactly a difficult order. After waiting 15 minutes and seeing people well behind us in line receive their order, I went to the counter to check. Five minutes later we got the bagels but one of them had the wrong cream cheese on it. Ten minutes after that the correct order was finally ready. Total wait was 30 minutes. I went to this place for the first time this week and had a pretty good blueberry bagel with honey almond spread. I definitely need to try some of their breakfast sandwiches and what not cause they all look so good. I do have to say I had the BEST cup of hazelnut coffee here. I'm extra picky with my coffee and never have more than a 6 oz cup a day, but let me tell you I could easily drink a large coffee from this place. I work in the area so to find a place that makes REAL egg dishes is a bonus. I'm doing the KETO diet so V-Manhattan Bagel makes the best egg dishes w/o the bread. In the morning I get the egg and cheese omelet and add some turkey sausage to it and it is delish. Highly recommend it, and also they sell the smoke salmon that is part of their locs sandwich and I added that to my salad for dinner recently and again it was extremely satisfying. I've been getting bagels here for 15 years! They are always freshly made and delicious. I've had bagels from other places, but they are often dry and never as good as Manhattan Bagel. They also have a wide assortment of types of bagels--the cheddar, poppy, and sesame are my favorites. They also have a nice variety of cream cheeses, so there's something for everyone. I've never had the sandwiches, but I'm told they are great. If you haven't tried these bagels, you should. If you go on weekend mornings, there will likely be a line, but they're worth the wait. read more

I was so disappointed in the Manhattan Bagel in Vienna, VA this morning I'm almost beyond words. I've been going to this location, for a few months after my company recently moved to Tyson's Corner and today I figured I'd save a little money, by buying a full dozen rather than the half dozen of few I usually get. I asked them to slice them and was told it would be $1 extra. I was stunned; I've gotten bagels sliced at the other major bagal chains with no charge and at the Manhattan Bagel in Clifton, VA and Fairfax, VA (before it sadly closed) with no charge. The place was empty at 7am this morning, so this request wasn't to discourage me because they had a lot of customers to get to. I walked out, may never go back there. So disappointed. read more

3.5 star but I'll give it four for now. I want to try their bagel for a while since I live close by. This morning, I came here to get a bagel sandwich for my breakfast. The bagels were made fresh in the house. They have a decent selections on breakfast sandwich and lunch sandwich. I got a eggwhite/mushroom/swiss thin bagel sandwich and a cup of coffee to go. You order on the counter and pay later. As I was waiting, a new batch of bagel came out. So, you know their bagels are fresh. It took me a while to get my sandwich, which i think could be faster. Anyway, I like the sandwich, the bagel is thinner than usual and the cheese melted perfectly on the eggwhite and asparagus tasted fresh. Overall, I like the sandwich a lot! However, the coffee. Oh my god, the coffee tastes like water, no joke. So diluted. I don't think you should get coffee here. Go to dunkin donuts next door! Price is also a hair high . I paid 6 bucks for this sandwich. Overall, decent place if you like bagel. But, don't ever get coffee here. Just don't! read more
