Really love the old school American diner vibes! I come here fairly often with my friends, usually late night, and the food is generally pretty decent. Service is fast and all the workers are quite friendly. There are definitely some things that stand out more than others, like the chipotle chicken panini, milkshake, the decker sandwiches, and all the alcoholic drinks I've tried so far. It can definitely be hit or miss though, like sometimes the fries are underdone. And I would definitely not recommend getting the meatball sub, the disco fries, or the egg cream, they were straight up not good. Still love this place tho!

Well...it's a diner. It is as expected. Food was slow to come as was the check but I guess you could say they were a little understaffed. But not coffee refill asked nor checking on how meal was. Large booths tables and counter top bar stools. Gets packed so expect wait on wkds. Food was a base hit. It is heavy diner food nothing gourmet or pretentious

First time ever here - always see this place in passing but never came inside. Showed up here on a late night around midnight. Was seated right away luckily cause the place was pretty packed. Late night after you're out from a night of drinking kinda spot - typical diner. The server tended to us right away - I ordered the egg quesadilla. It came with home fries. It was just mediocre nothing to brag about and nothing to come back for. Everyone else's plates looked the same. Little to no effort put into them. Just blah. I wouldn't come back food is trash.

Old school diner, loved the vibes in there. The pancakes were just fine, but the tuna melt was spectacular! Loved the curly fries too.

hiiii helllooo- this spot tends to skew bad reviews but for a diner and for the price I thought it was quite delicious. Lots of good flavor in the florentine eggs Benedict. I think the hollandaise on an eggs benny can say a lot and I'd say this was up there with taste and quality. I asked for onions and tomatoes instead of home fries and it was perfectly salty. My friend got the chicken Caesar wrap and curly fries and both were good too! I'd definitely come back and try more on the menu!! The menu itself is super cute and has tons of options for everyone.

Love this old school diner, classic ambience and feel. The pancakes have an incredible texture, slightly hard on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Our server also recommended the breakfast burrito which was a great choice as well. Will be back to try more items! FYI there can be a decently long line (~30 mins) to be seated, particularly on weekends.

I have had some hit and misses ordering from them off Grub Hub, but my first visit in restaurant was pretty good. The ambience is still classic diner, which I appreciate. The food is good and the service was also good. It was overall and nice lunch experience. I'll most likely be back. Hoping delivery is as good as this was.

One of our favorite diners. Fast friendly attentive service and good food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Three Decker is very much a "know what you're getting into" place. It is a diner, with a massive menu, large portion sizes, and it keeps everything simple. You're not going to walk out blown away by the flavor odyssey your taste buds just went on, but if you go in with the right attitude I promise this is a 5 star experience. I've been here several times, most recently I had the meatball sub with disco fries and a martini, and it was exactly what I needed at that moment. The meatball sub had a great meatball-sauce-cheese ratio and the disco fries are some of my favorite cheese fries in the city -- and that's not something I say lightly. On a trip here a while back I got a waffle with ice cream on it because that's what my soul needed that day. Service can be a tad slow but I love hanging out here because it has a lovely diner ambiance and is never too loud to have a great conversation with friends. In summary, can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for simple diner food. Absolute neighborhood staple and I will be back several times without a doubt :)

I believe it's been there for 56 years. The side I walked in you had a huge counter with the menus above. I'm not sure what they are famous for but burgers, roast beef, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and more. I had the cheeseburger and fries which are baked like chips. Awesome touch. The orangede was delicious too. We also got a free pizza with our order, which I believe was from spending a certain amount. Seating is right behind the counters and they had tables and old school booths for the tables. Great spot and I can see why they've been around for so long.

Both restaurants have been in business for well over half a century with well-deserved accolades. Despite having grown up in Brooklyn, I hadn't been to either before this year. I read reviews and actually asked ChatGPT what to order at R-N-R. We went with its suggestion: medium roast beef with cheese, onion rings, root beer and lemonade. My sandwich was more well-done than requested. They don't offer 'rare'. The few bites with red meat were infinitely better than the rest of the sandwich. The roll, as everyone points out, is baked in house. Though light and puffy, it didn't outweigh overdone beef. Onion rings were great, root beer average, and lemonade -- per my husband who loves lemonade -- excellent. While I wouldn't balk about returning, my vote goes to Brennan and Carr, though truly, when cooked as requested there is no substantial difference. If you take the train, get off at Sheepshead Bay Road and head south. Turn left at Emmons Avenue and keep walking. Twenty minutes all told.

I ordered: * Truffle Maker ($11.59) * Truffle Parmesan Fries ($6.50) * Chicken Bites with BBQ sauce ($8.05) * Large Yuzu Honey Lemonade ($4.00) Truffle maker was pretty good and I was glad I was able to remove the caramelized onions and truffle aioli (I'm picky). The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. Texture was reminiscent of Taiwanese popcorn chicken, nicely seasoned. Overall had a pleasant experience, I definitely want to return and try the rest of their menu.

Not all restaurants have restrooms that are made available to customers. That is an A+ in my book. Food 10/10 I ordered Hous Burger (hold the onions. Don't at me) it was pretty good. The taste of their burgers is different from most of the burger places I have tried before. I have also ordered Yuzu Honey Lemonade. I was trying to taste the honey in the lemonade. I guess I was expecting too much. The drink was refreshing. I may try the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade next. I met a gentleman who goes by the name Ten P aka 10pushups on IG. He recommended that I try his cola shake. That is what I got, plus the whipped cream. I was honestly looking for the taste of Coca-Cola because Cola is in the name. Regardless of what I expected, the shake was pretty good. I am not a shake person, so when he asked me to try it, I made an exception. Overall: I plan on coming back to Bun Haus. This was good eats.

The service is impeccable, the wait staff is well versed in the menu and will offer help if you don't know how to truly get the best sandwich that you can. The star here is the roast beef sandwich, it's moist and flavorful and cooked absolutely perfectly. My suggestion is to order it with cheese and have it dunked in the au jus. I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. They make amazing sides, I typically go for the onion rings and corn fritters which are tasty, fried nugget of sweet corn and they are delicious. Curious about the "famous" Brooklyn roast beef war -- yeah! it's a thing! -- T and I decided to see for ourselves. (Once I try the competition I'll weigh in with my vote.) With a reputation built on beef we ignored other options and researched how to order. You can get double dip, "dingle-dangle" (don't ask), cheese/no cheese ... it was confusing. We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy. You'll likely have to wait a bit -- but I found it interesting to watch the guys at the counter work. Service was friendly and attentive. Unlike someone's comment about paying blind -- not so. I already knew I wanted the double cheeseburger with bacon and egg, so it didn't take me long to place my order. I definitely enjoyed sitting at the bar because the restaurant has an open-kitchen concept. You can watch the chefs prepare the food, which is always enjoyable for me. The burger itself was definitely an experience! It was beautifully presented, and everything was cooked to perfection. Honorable mention goes to the pepper on the thick-cut bacon- it added a nice savory kick to the burger. I had really been looking forward to trying it because I recently passed by Au Cheval in Chicago, but the wait was extremely long, so I didn't get the chance to go. This burger was definitely good. It's not at the top of my list, but it was worth the experience. I must say, it's also extremely high-end price-wise. For just the burger with bacon and egg, plus tax and tip, I paid about $47. Again, it was a treat, but not necessarily one I'd order again. I'd love to try some of the city's other standout burgers before returning for this one. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! Would I return? Sure, but I would probably try something other than the burger next time.
