This used to be our go-to place for fried sweet banana (Turon). Unfortunately, after coming here several times, it's become obvious they're cutting corners by using less and less banana while still charging the same price. It's really disappointing. We used to gladly drive 20 minutes just to get their Turon because the quality was worth it. Sadly, that's no longer the case. The quality has noticeably declined, and it just isn't the same anymore. Bought some pinakbet small size and charge me for $8.00 and extra charge me for $4.00 hot food tax I did bought can of nata de coco and the price for small size is $8.99 on other different store only selling for $2.49. The lady that helps me have nasty attitude won't let me have my refund and want me to come back the next day or in 2 days so i can have my refund and took my product that i bought. Unfortunately we had some very bad quality turon yesterday. We ordered 50 and were extremely excited because we always loved the quality of the turon. Yesterday during our party we noticed the top of the tray had fresh turon once we got to the middle and bottom of the tray it was almost like they took off the old wrapper and wrapped previously cooked banana with fresh lumping wrappers. It was EXTREMELY HARD AND CHEWY. Very disappointing that they'd try to reuse and hide something like that just to make a sale. I highly doubt we will be returning. Used to be my go to spot for Turon. When fresh, it was crunchy the whole day and perfectly sweetened. Now, it's just way over sweetened with a thick layer of sugar and it's a crap shoot if you get it freshly made or even that same day. Portions are not great. I would definitely recommend this as a pick up and go type of location. There are a lot of homeless people in the area but I was able to manage just fine. The turon is so good here I wasn't able to picture it because we ate it all right away. I got 6 for $4 but to get it for parties I would say call ahead to make an order. The halo halo was good and worth the price but it's not as pretty as other locations. The food options were not my favorite but are pretty common for regulars I would say. I Saw this little restaurant from the corner of my eye while I was at Louie's Chinese Restaurant picking up an order. I went and gave them a try. I bought the 1 item Dinaguon with Poncit. I also bought 12 pork lumpia's for $8. The Dinaguon was good but it had just a little more vinegar than I'm used to. The Poncit was good. I would get that again. The lumpia's were disappointing. They are pre packaged lumpia's that you can get in the freezer section at Food 4 Less. The banana lumpia's seems to be why a lot of people go here. I didn't try them. Maybe next time. I ordered palabok( filipino noodles no meat or shrimp jist pork rinds chicharon).The noodles were so tough and very cold, had egg toppings and green onions not fresh. I called Anna the owner and said they put it in fridge and I have to heat up for 30 min in the oven.What?? The reason why I ordered cooked food so I dont have to cook and dont have much time bec. this is supposed to be for church potluck. Manila Foods. I've always appreciated the scrappiness of these small business owners. They worked hard to thrive in a very challenging food business. Not many Filipino eateries make it and Manila Foods have been successful and resilient even through the pandemic. I was a big fan of their crispy Turon, sweet wrapped banana dessert that's a favorite In many Filipino gatherings. It's supposed to be crispy and caramelized, sometimes enjoyed with vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately the quality of Turon which attracted many of us to this location has deteriorated. The bananas used are not ripe and hard. It looks like they've sacrificed some quality over volume of orders. I still wish this business well and I hope they'll reevaluate their quality to be more consistent. read more

Always double count your order and confirm exactly how much the turon is as their advertised price is not what they charge you. The female owner(?) does not have the best customer service. So I would suggest getting in and out of there as fast as you can. Their palabok was good. Other than that, all the other entrees did not look good nor looked appetizing. When we bought stuffs here with a total price of $26, my brother tried to pay with his capital one credit card. The owner tried to swipe it twice. In both instances she told us that the "transaction failed" and asked us if we have another card. Then my brother gave her his wellfargo debit card and the transaction proceeded without a fuss. The place is really dirty. I work in a food service establishment with food safety regulations and I could bet they have roaches due to uncleanliness. Not to mention they leave food out from their heat source. Avoid getting cheated by their prices and rude staff and stay away. Unless you want really bad food poisoning. I ordered some lumpia for my job and everyone love it. I called the day before and a gentleman told me they are there at 7am so I will be able to order it. Next morning I called no one answered. Finally 5 mins to 7:30 the lady answered and had an attitude. Basically she told me they wouldn't start making the lumpia until I arrive, I told her I am on my way now. Hell I even pay for it over the phone. She was like fine. Get there lady had an attitude. She did not greet me instead yelled and said "you didn't tell me how many" I said I stated a tray. We enjoy visiting Manila Foods for these: Turon, karioka, leche flan, coconut macaroons, food for the Gods dessert, lumpia Shanghai, pancit, adobo, afritada, and the bbq sticks.
