This is for a to go order. It was tasty, I personally did not know what side sauces were available so I didn't request any.

Try the fries! Only if you like flavor. So delicious! Good chill vibe and good service

Came here after jury duty and wanted some sisig and frys. The fries were a little on the dry side and soggy but mix up in the sauce was better maybe extra sauce next time and some other plate. It can get busy during lunch time so place your orders. Nice little spot but beware of mentally challenging people around the area keep your head on a swivel.

    Buffet style dinner.

We hosted my aunts retirement party here! Everything from food, to communication, to hospitality was 10/10. Would highly recommend Papa Urb's! It's a family business that takes pride in all they do! Thank you again for allowing us to host a private event!

This dinigian is very dry, not much sauce/ pork blood included... not much flavor either, definitely needs more vinegar. Probably wouldn't recommend.

I haven't been to papa urbs since 2019 and I'm so happy they're still open. The food is absolute amazing! Everything cooked with so much flavor and care. Not sure if it's family owned but the staff seemed like a family and made it feel like you are eating at home. The restaurant is nice and spacious and vibrant. I'll never not stop at Papa Urbs when driving through Stockton.

Came here as suggested by a good friend of mine. She raves about this place and mentions it every time we're in the 209 area. Finally was able to make my way there today and it's no wonder she's always talking about how smackin the food is. We tried the Sisig fries, Sisig tacos & pork belly sandwich. The food was so bomb and came out pretty fast! There's ample seating, it's a pretty big place. Will definitely be returning anytime I'm out that way!

Simple menu. Affordable prices. Friendly service. Even got to meet the owner and he's super chill. He caters a lot for the community. He also has another restaurant in Tracy. Lots of dishes to choose from. Big portions too. They post rice plate prices but you can get them a La carte if you want to eat family style. We ordered so many dishes because Filipino dishes are not easy to make at home for yourself all at one time. So we each got what we wanted and shared: Pancit - cooked with 2 kinds of noodles and has bokchoy leaves. Tocino - my daughter's favorite. Sweet but not too sweet. Great flavor! I can see why she likes this dish. Sisig - has a little spice. Wish it was crispy. Lechon Kawali - loved this! Cut into small bite sized pieces and drizzled with Lechon sauce. Family favorite! Kaldereta - Big chunks of beef. I didn't get a chance to try it. My hubby ate most of it. Dinuguan - Good. Lots of meat. I wanted it to be more sour, like how my province makes it. The only thing I wish was that I ordered more veggies. However, I realize that if we had ordered these dishes as rice plates, they came with salad. Next time! Also wish that if you're eating at the restaurant that they would use real utensils and plates. Everything was served in to-go styrofoam containers.

The food was really good and the service was great. Wasn't busy when we came by and the inside is very nice. Not pictured, but the pork adobo was very good too! Really liked this Filipino spot, come check it out. The cascaron was so good too, reminded me of childhood lol.

Really enjoyed the Lechon Kawali! Nice and crispy that pairs well with the sweet sauce that they give. Have yet to try their other popular options such as sigsig fries so I will be back.

Their service is 10/10. I had questioned a menu item that was listed on paper but not on the website the qr code provides. They were happy to let me know it was available and while my friend and I were in the back of the line they came and took our order and got started on it. They didn't take notes of it and still everything came out just as we ordered, we were very impressed. We ordered bistek, pork adobo and kaldereta along with lumpia and sisig empanadas. There wasn't one thing we didn't like. Haven't been to this location since 2019 and happy to see they survived covid, the ambiance hasn't changed and they're still delivering great food and service!

Filipino food with a modern twist. Señor Sisig, who? The first bite of the Sisig Fries had me gagged; I haven't had this mixture of flavors in my mouth before. My friend and I veraciously inhaled that dish in a few minutes- a must try. Given Stockton is a very hot area, the Calamansi Juice was a good choice (and for just $2.75 too!). The perfect refreshing drink for a hot day. There are tons of open seating. The staff is very welcoming, I'm super excited to go back!

Sinigang tastes spoiled and the sisig is just fried pork with sauce. The place is empty but we were curious because of other people's review, so we gave it a try. Wrong decision. I can only say that the place is clean but their food doesn't taste like filipino food Sinigang is not even sour, we were so confused.

I chose La Mesa because the first time we went I was very impressed with the delicious drinks and the short rib enchiladas. The atmosphere is so special and intimate whether you're on a date or with family. Both times we went, our servers were friendly and checked on us appropriately. Our server yesterday was handling making drinks at the bar and serving other tables that were there for Valentine's Day, but she still provided us with really good customer service (not sure of her name but she was wearing a pink shirt). We ordered a few drinks that included a strawberry horchata with rum, and a special one for Valentine's Day called the cupids kiss. They really stood out to me with how cute and yummy they were. For an appetizer, we ordered birria French fries. I was surprised that it had the consommé because I assumed it would make the fries soggy.... But it did not! They were AMAZING. The birria was tender and delicious, the flavor had a lot of depth in the consommé. For our entrees, we both cannot get enough of the short rib enchiladas with the mole sauce. They are our favorite. I really am just grateful that there is a restaurant like this that cares about the food they share with their customers. In the past, we ate at restaurants for my birthday where they didn't take as much pride or care about what they served. My birthday dinner at La Mesa felt very special to me and my boyfriend. Thanks a bunch we look forward to our return visit!

You have to have a appreciation for breaking down meat these days as the costs have gone up all around That being said you can tell this place is top notch in quality. Seguay into the hidden gem of prime Mexican culinary delight: the chicharron! This place has the most incredible chicharron in Stockton. The large chunks of crunchy fried pork Recout of this world Cut it into pieces for more texture on a burrito or dish, or just crunch on a large piece like a cave person and tsp onto your inner Flintstone gene. I would add one of these bad boys to a last supper if the world were coming to an end and that's saying a lot because there is a lot of competition in the pork family (carnitas, ribs, Chile verde etc ) Will be back soon for chicharrone to maybe share with the family.
