I cannot resist a donut! I saw the sign as I was driving toward the 280 on-ramp and I made a quick detour. I apologize for not taking a photo, but I was in a hurry to get home before it started to pour rain. First of all, let me say the young lady who works there super nice. We chatted for a quick minute and she had nothing but great things to say about the donuts and about the owners, and how they make the donuts and how they choose to make the donuts larger than other donuts. She was not kidding! The first thing my husband said when I showed him the open box of donuts was, "Wow those are huge! I only got donuts yesterday, but I will be going back there for the giant chocolate croissants and I have to try a cronut. There was still a lot to choose from and it was 4 PM and they were very fresh. I just ate a Chocolate old-fashioned and still very fresh and it's a day old now. I also purchased some custard filled donuts, and I could tell that the cream was fresh made. It wasn't overly sweet like a pre made custard. Our church buys a few dozens of the donut holes every Sunday. They taste pretty good on an empty stomach and hot coffee. I initially thought they were really good value, but I realized it's because donuts are actually just cheap by nature. I mean, it's just fried dough with sugar. The price is comparable to Krispy Kreme's but taste is not nearly as distinct. I got the blueberry donut here once and really enjoyed it. This a wonderful family owned donut shop that has great donuts and breakfast bagels and croissants at a reasonable price. It's family owned and always friendly. My Dad is a retired baker and the original Manley was a friend of my Dad's . New ownership in the last 20 years or so but the quality is still great. It's family owned and the owner lady no matter how busy she is always takes her time to be friendly and thank everyone and provide excellent service. Bought some donuts today to bring to some of my 6th grade students who did a great job working on something and they all were so excited and remarked how delicious and fresh the donuts were!! I made a quick stop into Manley's on my way home from having fasted 12 hours for blood work and in desperate need for coffee and a quick sugar pick me up....(I rarely eat donuts...! :) I ordered a dozen regular donut holes (some for myself) and two apple fritters for my men at home and a large black coffee. Service was average...I then got in my car and left. When I got home I looked at my receipt and noticed I was charged an additional fee which was a 20% TIP,...which I never authorized!! EVER....! In fact when the machine asked me to okay the amount...it was correct...so I hit the OK...This is a very unethical business practice and this place should be reported. I just wanted to warn others to check their receipts. A 20% tip is too high ENTIRELY for putting a few donuts in a bag and handing me a black coffee to go! Great spot for a variety of donuts and sandwiches. The place is very clean and they're very nice and welcoming there. Try the Turkey bagel add avocado, S&P with sriracha on the side. The fresh veggies, and the spice is a great combo with the Turkey. It's open very early so it works well if your schedule may vary. Doughnut pretty good. Tiny bit undercooked. CInnamon twist - Glaze on point. Nice hints of cinnamon. Reminded me of a cinnamon roll. Could have been cooked a bit longer. Maple bar - Glaze, again, was on point. Not too sweet. But, the doughnut was WAY too doughy like it hadn't been cooked evenly. The inside was like dough (and not in a good way like underbaked cookies). They kill the glaze game here, but need to cook their doughnuts a bit longer. read more

Came here on Christmas eve to buy some donuts for a small crew I hired and the ladies behind the counter were super nice given it was like 7:30am. The donuts were super fresh and smelled delicious. I thought about sneaking one out before giving it to the crew. I'll probably be back one day to get a donut and get some coffee. Manley's is very close to my crib; I don't know why I don't go by here more. Good donuts, coffee, and sandwiches. Plenty of parking. Only 4 or 5 tables for dining in, but almost always empty. I should point out that the business name is "Manley's", with an "'s" at end. Really mad with this place yo, they always run out of Chocolate twist donuts, and lately they have not had good donuts at all...rather i go at 8am or 10am, my last 3 trips they have not had the chocolate twist donut...the last 2 times i seriously just walked in and asked for the chocolate twist donut when they said we ran out, i just walked out without buying anything! I went on two different occasions. I ordered a Thai iced tea w/ no ice both times. I was charged 5.75 the first time and then 6.50 the second time. When I brought it to the woman's attention she told me she charged me 0.50 extra for no ice. The math still didn't add up. How many people have been overcharged and don't even realize it? The tea didn't even taste good the second time. There's too much to loose in life to argue with people, so I'll just leave this review and never patronize them again. Bad business eventually catches up to shady business owners. Not sure if it made a difference that the first time the younger pregnant woman helped me and the second time it was an older lady. Race could have also played a part...who knows. It would have been nice to know I was going to get charged more for no ice, but she did it thinking I wouldn't know any better or notice. I called last week to order donut holes for a Monday morning pickup. I was told it would be no problem. I called today to increase my order and was told that they decided to close tomorrow. They'd not informed me, nor did they have plans to do so. The owner told me it was her husband who had taken the order and he "didn't know they'd be closed Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday" of this week. I asked why they'd allowed him to take the order if he didn't no anything about the shop's plans? They had no answer. This is terrible customer service and I don't intend on ever returning nor recommending Manley's donuts in Cupertino to anyone. read more

Delayed review, but a few months ago my husband and I stopped in to try Manley's... we ordered a "dozen" donuts --- although the price was the same as or more than other donut shops, they gave us 12 donuts, not a "baker's dozen." Also, donuts were just "okay" - little dry. read more

Had a Homer Simpson donut craving today and checked out Manley's as I was passing by. It's a rather small place in the Rite Aid mall and it was bustling with kids everywhere today - what was it - National Bring Your Kid to the Donut Shop Day?! The donut selection was okay - not as extensive as Donut Wheel or Happy Donuts. They also have apple turnovers and some pre-made croissants with ham and cheese. My glazed donut w/coconut strips and apple turnover were alright and uninspiring. I think Safeway makes better apple turnovers. Bottom line: Nice small mom and pop donut shop but otherwise ho hum. Not sure it was worth the 1000 calories I consumed... And I think they must be running a side day care business in there with all the kids today! read more

Hold on there! It is illegal in the State of California to charge a fee for debit cards or credit cards. If you use one of these methods to pay, mention that it is illegal to do so. This is my favorite go to donut shop! Whenever I'm feeling a sandwich for breakfast, I go here! They have an amazing breakfast sandwich with bacon, cheese, turkey and avocado! They also have the best donuts I've ever had! The workers are so nice and they seem so patient with everybody. Sometimes I go here with my brother because he looks the sprinkles and chocolate covered donuts. Personally, I love the donut holes and I usually get it with a bottle of milk. It's amazing and fresh and I wish they would close at 3 instead of 2 :( But overall, I love love love everything about this place! read more

Tried out Manly's off Homestead after someone at my work brought in their donuts one day. These are more traditional donuts and Manley's makes them very well. They are soft and fluffy with just enough glaze. If you like filled donuts, then they will fill them on the spot for you, but I think they only have custard filling. I prefer these over Krispy Kreme donuts as Manley's donuts are not so saturated with frosting/sugar/glaze, and the dough is much lighter. If you like super sweet donuts, then stick with Krispy Kreme, but if you like delicious fluffy donuts, then try out Manley's. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped by this morning to get chocolate glazed doughnuts. Unfortunately, they were all out and the lady at the front recommended a different doughnut but we weren't interested. I had my coffee ****that I already had poured in a large cup**** paid for it with a $20 bill and she gave me my change. Then I went to put creamer in and get a lid, As I start to leave the store she starts yelling excuse me, excuse me and begins to accuse me of stealing the coffee in front of the whole store. I then explain to her that she already rang me up, she recanted her statement about stealing and said I only had a small cup when she rang me up, keep in mind my coffee was already poured. Very poor customer service and I'm glad to use my first 1 star review for here. read more
