Food: This is the first AYCE Korean BBQ place in DFW my partner and I decided to try, which we were excited about, because it was highly rated and relatively cheaper than à la carte places. While there were redeeming qualities, like the menu selection and the built-in ventilator on the grill, there were a few areas that fell short. First, the grill that we were initially given wasn't properly cleaned--there were remnants from its previous use in between the grates. And this wasn't the first occurrence, as we had our grill replaced a few times. Second, some of the Banchan didn't taste as fresh as it could have been. And third, some of the meat cuts (e.g., brisket and beef belly) were thicker than what we normally have, making them a bit chewy. Service: There was a wait when we walked in, which wasn't long (~15 min), and we had to put our name down through a kiosk. Once seated, you self-order through a tablet fixed to the table, which was straightforward to use, and items are brought to your table from the kitchen rather quickly. This place is pretty good! The only complain I have is with the speed of service. There's a button on the ipad to call for your waiter/waitress but mine wouldn't come when I pressed the button so I would have to wave them over. Also, sometimes my order would not come out with all the items I ordered, so I would have to order them again. I liked the ipad though, less talking, more eating lol. Our party of 4 came in past 11pm on a Saturday night. We chose this spot since we were craving kbbq, and it was open till 2am! The place was busy, and it seemed like there was only a handful of staff. We checked in and got seated after 5 mins or so. We sat down and were instructed to place our orders on the tablet. The food was amazing!! Everything had amazing flavor without having to use any extra sauces. My wife loved the fact she got to try marinated veal intestines, and she said they tasted amazing! The ambiance was upbeat and inviting. Had multiple TVs playing many different shows. The service was phenomenal. Our grill was constantly changed so it didn't burn or stick. Quick disclaimer: This was my first time trying Korean bbq so I have no idea about the authenticity of the offerings here. All I know is everything that I had was great! They had plenty of different types of beef, chicken, and shrimp options. All of them tasty. As for service, everything was pretty automated. Meats and sides are ordered via touch screen at the table, and items are delivered by the coolest little robot waiter. Grill elements are changed out by human servers frequently and they were also ready to help with explaining items I was unfamiliar with and cutting larger items into smaller sizes so they could cook faster. We came at opening on a Tuesday and were very impressed with service and quality. There's plenty of seating and there are fans that help keep the smoke from hitting you in the face. The menu has a nice selection but I was disappointed they they didn't have short ribs, but rather they had the boneless option which isn't as good in my opinion. The scallion salad and regular salad were phenomenal, along with the tofu soup. We really enjoyed the bulgogi along with the pork cheek. The ban chan here wasn't quite my favorite, since I've become accustomed to my own style, but they still weren't bad at all. My first time visiting here was very underwhelming. I'm used to KBBQ in my home state and I expected a high quality experience similar to ones I've had and the AYCE price seemed reasonable ($30). However I was disappointed by the service and amount of food we received. We ordered off the little iPad but our items took forever to come and some didn't come at all. They also have a robot serving dishes which is cool and all but it wasn't particularly helpful for our table. We had to ask multiple servers what was going on with our orders and to check the system in case ours weren't going through to the kitchen. They started to seem annoyed with us constantly flagging them down but we shouldn't have to beg for our orders if we're being made to use an electronic system so clearly something is wrong. I usually always feel full from AYCE at KBBQ but this was the one time I didn't feel satisfied because half our meats and side dishes never came! They also turned off our burners thinking we were done eating but we were really just sitting there waiting for the rest of our food to come. If you ask if they do anything for birthdays, they will bring a small moon pie with a candle in it and play the happy birthday song which is something. While the food we did get was tasty, I'd rather patronize other AYCE KBBQ spots. read more

We tried a few meats. 1. Beef brisket: 7/10. Very fatty compared to regular brisket. Nothing too bad 2. Spicy pork belly: 8/10. The cut of meat was so good and marinated but it wasn't really spicy. If they add more gochujang to it Itd be perfect. 3. Teriyaki squid: 7/10. Honestly it's only 2 bites and it's not too bad. It's more chewy. 4. Cajun shrimp: 3/10. Very hard to eat and all the seasoning is on the shell- so it kind of goes away once you peel it. First kbbq place I've been to that serves unpeeled shrimp. I'd skip this option. 5. Boneless galbi: 7/10. Very small portion and the cut of meat was somewhat tough? 6. Manna signature prime steak: 8/10. Extremely tender. Wish it was marinated better. The steam eggs were so fluffy but was missing the traditional touch of sesame oil. Same with the jjigae side soup- it was great but just missing a touch of something. There's a reason I don't do AYCE anymore...this place reinforced it. First, I want to say the staff there are the best! Super nice and they change the grill out without having to ask. Might have been because it was a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy...still. Amazing service. The Korean aunties there are the best! The meats that we did like were the brisket, beef belly, pork jowl and the marinated galbi, albeit a little thin and the marinade was a bit on the sweet side. I liked the thinly sliced pork belly as well. The meats we didn't care for...their Manna signature prime steak (SUUUUPER thin and not great) and their nuk gan sal (too rubbery). The sides were great though. Definitely get the soft tofu soup (softest tofu I've ever had), corn cheese, steamed egg, scallion salad, and my favorite the ramyun. The ramyun was perfectly cooked...noodles still a little chewy and the broth not over poweringly salty. Perfect way to end the meal! Surprisingly, they didn't even have lemons. On top of that, gratuity was automatically added to the bill with no notice on the menu, ordering screen, or before being seated. I'm not sure if they recently changed owner from my last visit back in May 2022, but the food quality, service, and options increased big time! They no longer offer the two different AYCE tiers, it's just one fixed price of $28.99. It comes with a great variety of beef, pork, chicken, and seafood options, along with your banchan, salad, bibimbap, soups, cheese corn, and steamed eggs. I was very impressed with the menu, and how much food they offer for everyone. The last time I visited, the meat was okay and it feels like they just like to dump marinate on top to hide the low quality, but this time, it's much better. The marinate doesn't overpower the meats, and it tastes a lot better. My favorites are the brisket, spicy brisket, boneless LA galbi, thin beef belly, pork belly, pork jowl, cheese corn, and steamed egg. I am obsessed with the cheese corn, and I'm so happy that they have it. I feel like the last two visits they were always out, despite it being on the menu. The cheese corn is delicious and exactly how I wanted them to be. It comes out in your typical hot tray with the corn and mozzarella cheese melted together. The steamed egg was tasty as well, but we only got one because we didn't want to fill our stomachs up. I saw that they offer bibimbap with the AYCE menu, but we didn't try it. Asides from the yummy food, their service has improved greatly. It could be because last time we went with a party of 12, but this time it was only 4 people. The server constantly checked up on us, refilled our banchan in bigger portions as requested, changed the grill every 3 portions of meat, and the meats doesn't take long to come out. The robot delivers the meats but the server walks alongside to make sure there's no error. You can only order 3 types of meat each time, but they didn't limit their portions and it was filling for all party members. If I'm craving AYCE KBBQ, this would definitely be my first option. I like Moodaepo's meat quality more when it comes to AYCE, but their slow service isn't worth the extra $12. This was a really weird Korean BBQ experience. My friends and I felt like the staff were trying to rush us to eat. Forget about cooking your own meats here and enjoying conversations with friends.
