I visited Manna Thai in North Highlands, CA [4980 Watt Ave] on Sunday, 06/01/25, around 1 PM. For the appetizer, I decided to order the Laos Sausages. They were made with ground pork, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves garlic, and chili peppers. The flavor profile was tasty and I enjoyed every single bite. The sausages tasted great with the sauce provided. For the entree, I got the Chicken Pad See Ew. It included big flat noodles, eggs, broccoli, and carrots. The portion of the plate was gigantic and filling. The dish was amazing. The inside of the restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated. The service was friendly and attentive. The music played throughout my entire dining experience was entertaining. Overall, I enjoyed visiting this restaurant. I'd return here in the future for wonderful Thai food. read more

I was there last customer I ordered over the phone less than 10 min I showed up they couldn't wait to close the place fast enough got home the shrimp rolls where as big as burrito the shrimp smelled bad all lettuce i open the shrink wrap it open up with smelly shrimp the peanut sauce was layer of water or just old the red curry had no flavor and very little bit tough chicken i was so disappointed I saved the food to least seen if they would make another replacement the next day i called 11pm and very nicely and polite the lady wasn't very happy with me I told her im a 59 year old man I dont like to complain or eat fo free I just want fresh food my wife and I showed and she said that we had ate some of it witch was a spoon full the cook was laying on the bench seat of the dining table seem like he was talking in his language with the lady we told about the food she started to yell at us my said just give us are money back she didnt want that or make us another fresh replacement I said at least do that the cook told call the police we said that's fine we would wait for them like to scare us off than the agree to make us a replacement th shrimp rolls where the same he the cook gave whatever they had already made it was a green curry not the red i did not end eating the food thinking if the cook had maybe put something in the curry looking angry i end up just throwing it all away we will never go back there again the best restaurant that we always eat is the house of Thai better food fresh super nice people big portion s better prices they where closed that night never again read more

I was there last customer of the night today, for a to go order. Yellow curry chicken, fried shrimp rolls and beef pad Thai. They asked me what spice level, I said medium. Took it home, sat down and was able to get about four bites in. Threw away the curry and pad thai, just ate the egg rolls. I enjoy spicy food, it looks like the chef must have accidentally dropped the whole spice rack in my food. Not edible. I regret that I tipped. Drive by this restaurant quite a few times while I'm in the area for my daughters softball tournament. Decided to try it. I'm very picky when it comes to Thai food because I don't do fusion only authentic. This place did not disappoint! I ordered the Green Curry, Lao Sausage, chicken basil and chicken satay. This was the worst, most inauthentic "Thai" food I've ever had. It came to $50 for cold shrimp rolls, soup, and mango sticky rice. The cold rolls were the size of a burrito, but all lettuce. There were 2-3 shrimp, that were not fresh, and that cost almost $13. The coconut soup was too sweet, and just blah. The mango sticky rice was awful, the mango had no flavor and was stringy, and the rice was drenched in condensed milk like pudding. I should have known better when I walked through the door and there were no Thai employees, just a white lady. I feel ripped off. My stomach doesn't feel good either! Blech. read more

I love leaving good reviews but I just can't. My first time here and it was the most expensive Pad Thai I've ever had, and by far the worst. It's as if they ran out of sauce because the noodles were hardly coated and there was almost no flavor. I had to add sriracha to get half of it down, only because I couldn't throw $22 in the trash. The food was great, more flavor than another our usual thai restaurant. Since we were craving thai food our regular spot was closed for a month, we decided to stop in here. The restaurant is quiet with few customers which I prefer, I can hear the hubs talking. The service was quick and the server is very friendly, accomodating, and checking on us quite frequently. They also offer free wifi if you are going to be staying for a bit. This is going to be our new thai spot after returning to our usual spot and realizing the food there was not as flavorful as Manna Thai. read more

This place is so NICE! I came here on a Monday at 12:30pm and it wasn't busy. The lady behind the counter was very attentive and very friendly when I was ordering. I got the yellow curry and a huge Thai tea which was soo delicious I came back a few days later! I didn't take a picture but I also got the sticky rice which was so good. It does seem a little offputting being the only ones in the restaurant in the restaurant being in such an odd location, but the food was absolutely worth it. WARNING: Avoid this place like the plague! I've ordered from here to go and they NEVER get the order right. Most recently, I stayed on the phone with the waitress to confirm spicy and additional chicken (AS I'VE DONE TWICE BEFORE). She then did the same thing she did previously, reading me back the order to me and confirmed spicy and additional chicken. When I get the order there is literally no spice added at all, no red flakes or anything, and instead of chicken they gave me some leftover steak that made me throw up. It had the texture and taste of shoe leather. It seems to me like the staff is either sabotaging this restaurant with their attitude and behavior or there is a neglectful owner. I called to report this to the restaurant, and it was the lady who takes my order. I told her I wanted to speak to the owner only, she told me they weren't in today. She kept asking what it's about, so I finally told her it was about food and to have the owner call me. About 3 minutes later after she said the owner wasn't available someone was calling me irate asking me "what's wrong, what happened", it sounded like staff, and was clearly not the owner. I asked to confirm it was the owner and they just kept yelling what do you want, what happened with the food. EDIT: I just double checked and the phone they called me from was the RESTAURANT PHONE WHEN THEY SAID THE OWNER WASN'T IN. THIS STAFF IS SOMETHING ELSE. FIRE THEM ALL, I DON'T EVEN NEED YOU TO MAKE IT RIGHT WITH ME. Horrible place, if I could stand out front with a sign for 30 minutes a day warning people off for it I would. read more

Absolutely delicious cuisine! Ordered take out during this covid19 nonsense. Yellow curry chicken with fried rice, beef larb (Lao style dish made not spicy), and cashew chicken. My date enjoyed the yellow curry chicken. I thoroughly loved the larb and the cashew chicken was very good. The brown rice was just fine. I'm a fan of mint in my drinks, but eating mint, not so much. I ate a few of the mint leaves in the larb, but not most. There's also parley and green onions. I liked that. The really nice man taking our order willingly substituted green beans instead of green bell peppers for the cashew chicken. He had such a wonderful disposition and very patient even though it was a challenge to get a description of larb from him. I took a chance and I'm very happy that I did! Its been a long time coming since I wanted to try Manna Thai and I'm very glad it was super convenient to grab food here on our way back from Antelope Walmart. And I was very glad Manna Thai was open at 4:30 on a Saturday during this virus quarantine period. I'll mention there were 4 other people ordering takeout. I love pad Thai, and I've been on a quest to find the best one out there (for me). I had always wanted to try this restaurant but never seemed to find the time.. I finally did by chance. I was actually headed to the Jack in the box next door to it when I thought, why not get something fresh instead? So I ordered a beef pad Thai for pickup. I can't rate the restaurant or service, so the stars are strictly based on the ONE thing I ordered. Firstly, I loved that the to go plate was foiled on the inside. It kept the pad Thai fresh and was just a small detail I wish were incorporated in other places. The amount was well worth the price as well. Huge portion. Unfortunately, the pad Thai itself had wayyyy too much tamarind in the sauce for me. :( I added hot water to try and rescue it, but then it just tasted watery instead. The meat was chewy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but overall I wouldn't order pad Thai from here again. I would however love to taste the other dishes on their menu! read more

I've had the yellow curry I think that's the one with the potatoes carrots and chicken, I've had the fried rice with all the different meat we've had vegetables and chicken and a couple other dishes and everything is fantastic. There's another Thai restaurant closer to my house but I keep seeing this one and it's not too much further just going the other direction and I knew it was a four star so I had to try it out. Once I did honestly the food is better more portions and everybody was so friendly this is my new Thai restaurant and my neighborhood... Also the hours are better The other restaurant closes early and has kind of weird hours. These guys are great You won't go wrong here read more

Got their food through Doordash. The pictures and previous reviews made it look promising. I got the basic pineapple fried rice. It had good flavor, not bland, perfectly seasoned. They were generous on chicken, shrimp and pineapples! Definitely a plus. I'd order it again. Next thing I ordered were the Thai sausages. Having been to Thailand and experienced eating these, I was pleasantly surprised. They were in natural casings which they should be. They were stuffed with meat with basil. They had a nice balanced flavor and had a nice mild kick to them. . The casing were nice and crisp and were snappy. Be careful of the sauce though, it's on the spicy side. I also got the cripsy basil chicken. It's not the best I've had. The basil flavor definitely permeated the chicken. But since it's delivery, it wasn't as crisp as it should have been. Probably better to eat this at the restaurant. The big disappointment is the mango and sticky rice. This is one of the basics. The mango was brownand overripe. The rice was hard. It feels like it was pre-made, stuck in the freezer, nuked in the microwave (super hard in the middle) and then served. Skip this. I probably won't order here again. I've had much better Thai food in other restaurants. It's not a bad option if you're in the area. But it's not a place I'd drive out of my way for. read more
