During the call, I mentioned I had a Groupon and asked about the requirements for booking an appointment. While the man on the phone (whose name I didn't catch) began scheduling me, he informed me there would be an additional $25 charge for an oil filter replacement and oil disposal -- on top of the $50 Groupon. I let him know that the extra cost was a bit high for me and was simply trying to understand the full pricing. Before I could finish explaining or ask any follow-up questions, he cut me off, talked over me, and told me to go find someplace cheaper -- then abruptly hung up. I was shocked at how dismissive and rude he was. There was no attempt to clarify, help, or even show basic courtesy. Customer service means a lot to me, and this experience was a red flag. I take good care of my car and expect the same level of care and professionalism from anyone I trust to work on it. If someone is quick to hang up on a potential customer, I can only imagine how they might handle customers' vehicles behind closed doors. November will be 3 years since they rebuilt the trans, it's run well with the exception of that drive up to SAC, seems long drives aren't good for it so those are now out. Daily driving is ok. I'm hoping for 1 more year without issue, then I feel I've gotten my money's worth. So all in all, I'm good with this rebuild, lasted much longer than my first rebuilt transmission which only lasted 1 year.
