Went here tonight. They have a lot of variety and a lot of food. Most was some sort of asian fish -- Japanese Chinese Korean etc. I think they had 7 of 8 shrimp preparations. Lots of different sorts of chicken... grill in the back was cooking Mongolian barbecue. Steaks. Sausage. Pizza. We were absolutely stuffed by the time we left. I frequent Chinese buffets a lot whenever I'm on travel. This is one of the best!!! I always make an effort to stop by here for dinner whenever I'm in Lancaster with my family, and have recommended this place to others as well. I've been going here for 5 years, every time my kids finish at Dutch Wonderland, we stop here for dinner before heading back to DC. The place is huge and so is the food selection. The quality of the food is excellentttttttt, as far as buffets go. Very fresh tasting all the time, and they always restock the food quickly. The prices are reasonable for the area too. This place is pretty good! Enjoyed the size of the buffet area -enough space to move around without ever feeling crowded or uncomfortable- as well as the dining area. The lights and decor contribute to a resplendently charming atmosphere that's a bit modern and the staff usually seems pretty friendly and unobtrusive but willing to laugh and smile if you engage with them. There's a good variety of dishes offered and I especially digg the seafood (oh god the calories!) and I'd say the prices aren't going to destroy your pockets although I've been to several cheaper buffets. Sushi, hibachi, Chinese food? Oh my! A place where you can get all of your cravings. There is plenty of parking and a lot of seating. We came here on a Saturday night and it was busy. We were seated quickly for a party of seven. There was a vast selection of food and they replenished it quite often. The hibachi was good although limited options on noodles. The sushi was okay, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great which is always expected from Buffets. The fruits were fresh and the ice cream was good although they had ran out of cones. They also take covid measurements which requires you to wear a mask and gloves while serving yourself although not many people were following the guidelines. Definitely worth checking out if you're hungry and need food asap. The only downsides were that our waitress was rarely there to bring us high chairs or take some plates away. The table was also a bit dirty when we had first sat and the tables are pretty close by each other. read more

This place is a casual and fine dinner place and clean restaraunt..! Employees are very attentive delivering awesome costumer service. The food is fresh and hot, a lot of variety in cook foods sushi and fruits and sweets. And even though the place was full I didn't have to wait to enter and sit. In my opinion it is worth every dollar every Pennie.... My server was SUPER GREAT...!!! Till this moment in my review, I give them a A plus...! Now there is only one thing that I didn't like that every time I go to the sushi to serve my self the preparation guy is looking at me serve myself, with the look in his face it seamed like he didn't want me to.....the secound time I went to the sushi stand he Did the same thing again....... so adding this to my review I give you a B which... They even have steaks, ribs, and sausages cut to order. They have a lot of variety's of food so there's a-little but for everyone. The waitresses are very prompt and kind too! Regardless of what some of the other reviewers have written, this is first and foremost a Chinese restaurant. They have mostly Chinese food. Note: They add MSG to the food. (I confirmed by asking them) They have a few items that are not typically served in a Chinese restaurant, like: pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries, and a couple of odd ball items like garlic bread and quesadilla's. They have a lot of selections, and as other viewers noted they are protein heavy. The salad bar was ok, and they had some fresh fruit too (kiwi - which was the first time I have seen that at a buffet). What I liked: hot and sour soup, general tso's chicken (even though it was a bit sweet and very little heat), spring rolls, and the quesadilla (believe it or not) They had a varied selection of desserts, many taken straight from a box. They has small slices of different cakes, which I actually prefer as I don't like to waste food, and sugar free vanilla soft serve ice cream, and regular chocolate soft serve ice cream and several different toppings. If they had additional flavors the machines were not working and covered up. They had a chocolate fountain and some fresh pineapple and strawberries to dip. However, the chocolate did not harden at all and we didn't care for the taste or texture. It stayed wet and fluid for at least 20 minutes (then we left). There's been a Chinese buffet on Lincoln Highway just easy of the last expressway exit since time immemorial, so much so that the day sixteen and a half years ago that I returned to Pennsylvania after a four-year hitch teaching high school in Maryland, I began looking for it as soon as I crossed the state line into the Commonwealth on US83 and ate lunch there in darkness with exactly two other parties. But Manor Buffet, the restaurant that took the place of the former establishment, is an entirely different species. Manor Buffet was filled to 25% legal capacity last night at dinner for a very good reason: It seems to do everything well, even (and perhaps especially) in a pandemic. Mask wearing, glove wearing, temperature taking, social distancing, and hand sanitation were strictly enforced, and everyone complied. And why not? The food was terrific. After 15 months of being persona non grata in restaurants, I went with two distinct culinary items in mind, prime rib and fried shrimp, and both were abundantly available. The prime rib had been roasted to perfection--pink, tender, and tasty as buffet prime rib virtually never is. I was astounded! Each fried shrimp was a little masterpiece of hot, tender, golden succulence as only fried shrimp can be. Lightly buttered string beans had not lost their just-picked color or freshness and had obviously been harvested locally: Processed string beans simply never look that way. Fried dumplings--too often tasteless and desiccated wherever they're served--were warm and lightly browned but still chewy and spicy as never before. Only the ground shrimp-crabmeat meatballs were a disappointment--a good idea in theory, but the competing tastes canceled each other out, so that nothing but a meat ball's texture could be perceived--not unpleasant, but not up to the standards of either crabmeat or shrimp alone. Even chocolate ice cream seemed richer and denser in flavor and texture than usual. There's a dish to suit every palate at Manor Buffet. I eschewed the usual chicken with broccoli, well-done steak, green salad elements, and all manner of cakes and pies to concentrate on my fantasies, but as I left feeling comfortable but not bloated, I silently vowed to express gratitude for my contentment at the earliest opportunity. Other reviewers maintain that prices are less than ideal. I paid $15, tax, and gratuity as a senior and am certain the value of my meal was at least commensurate with its price. Wait time, ten minutes between 5:30 and 5:45 pm, was minimal; waitly.com was deployed expertly. And service personnel were ubiquitous, friendly, and so very efficient. Bring a $20 bill per person and a healthy appetite and Manor Buffet will not disappoint. read more

I think most of the food in the Lancaster area is nothing to talk about. We ate here last night and was pleasantly surprised. We thought the quality was good they had a nice variety of sushi, Chinese, Habatchi and seafood. Our kids 8,4 &3 loved the chocolate fountain and the variety of fruit. Finally! My family are transplanted Texans and accustomed to a plethora of Asian establishments being available to us. Since moving here to Pennsylvania, we've had a very hard time finding one of our top two favorite cuisines. Then we discovered Manor Buffet. We just had our first visit and came away totally satisfied and eager to return. As with almost all buffets, there are a few misses, but those were minor and probably more a matter of personal tastes than the fault of the cooks. The choices are extensive so if something doesn't appeal to you, you'll have no trouble finding something else instead. One factor I am particularly pleased with is the way they clearly and properly label each item. That is not always the case in some buffets. Another wonderful aspect of their choices is that it included items I have never seen on an Asian buffet that I've visited before. Case in point, jellyfish. I personally wasn't fond of it but I love the fact that this unusual choice is available. Another strong point is a benefit for families with finicky members who don't care for Asian food, and it is that there are plenty of other choices that include American food too. This way the whole family can be satisfied, but if I'm going to an Asian buffet I only want Asian food and theirs is top notch. The prices are more than fair for what you receive. You also can have your drinks refilled without an additional charge and the staff are right on the spot if that is needed. You don't even have to ask. As for the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. I am about to turn 70 and noticed when we received our bill that I wasn't given the Senior Discount that is available. I brought it to the attention of the staff and the young lady could not have been kinder, taking care of the correction immediately with a smile. In other words, I highly recommend this place, especially if you are eager to taste Asian cuisine again. More deserving of a 4 1/2 Star than 4 Star. read more

Chinese buffets are just to fill your " I want Asian food" even though its just a bunch of fatty crap thrown together for people to think it's Asian. So after hearing all the hype from my father who eats here several times a week I decided to check it out for myself. Found some coupons in the Clipper magazine but surprise......they can't be used on weekends which is when we were planning to go. This was my last meal before a two day fast for a medical procedure so I was pretty pumped up about stuffing my face. First off upon entry the place was nicely decorated. I did found the dining areas to be a little scattered and a strange arrangement of columns, half walls, etc. separating the different dining areas. At times I found myself walking too close to occupied tables to get to the buffet stations. I would say the layout is awkward at best. As for the food it was displayed nicely. Not anything special here that hasn't been served at other buffets. I did find the salad bar not up to par, and felt the local grocery store had more fresh selections. Each table focused on a different element of the meal; from protein, to seafood, to the biggest selection which was the starches. I felt there was too many proteins and not enough (fresh, or unsauced) vegetable selections. I found an overly cheesy broccoli casserole type dish, and another spinach dish, again smothered in cheese. A lot of the buffet space focused on sushi type selections which was largerly ignored by us and other diners during our visit. The Chinese dishes were basically the same dish over and over just with different proteins. There was a craving station tucked into a corner by the stir fry on demand station which could be easily overlooked. A serving of the beef - prime rib (?) that I chose was not tasty and after a bite or two remained on my plate. In actuality I had a hard time finding dishes that appealed to me and remember this was my final meal before a long fast! On the plus side the chocolate fountain was at a station occupied by an attendant and had a notice about children being supervised. This is a plus as at some other local buffets it's usually a free for all by children who's parents are nowhere to be seen. My boyfriend on the other hand filled up and enjoyed his selection of fried, greasy, and cheesy foods. For me this will be my one and only visit. read more

Every now and then I want some Chinese food, but do not want a specific dish, and this buffet comes in really handy. You get the option of the Chinese food of course, but also some American foods mixed in, along with salad, sushi bar, raw bar, dessert, cookie unit, and even ice cream. The employees seem to always have everything stocked full so you do not need to miss out on anything. This place does seem to be consistently busy, but there is usually no longer than a 5-minute wait. When it comes to the food, I think overall it tastes pretty good, but of course there are those few items that have the "buffet-taste" to them and not the best of course. The waiters/waitresses are pretty good at staying on top of clearing dishes and refilling drinks. The one thing that does bother me though, once they give you the check, they seem to just stand there and hover until you are done filling out the slip. If you are looking for a buffet with a large selection for multiple family members, this is a good one to try out. read more

This was the most exciting and surprising buffet find ever!!! After a long, hot day of outlet shopping down the street, my boyfriend and I took our shopping companions to this buffet. We got there right around 6, and based on past experiences with Chinese buffets, we assumed there would be a wait. There wasn't, and we were seated right away! Like others have noted, the interior is quite grand compared to other Asian buffets. The bathrooms were clean, the booths felt new, and the overall decor was quaint and fun in its own way. The food selection was most definitely the main attrraction. For one of my goals in life, I want to conquer as many buffets as humanly possible (seriously. I'm not kidding.), so I have been to more than my fair share of buffets. I was so excited to try out the different foods offered! There were even foods that I didn't try because I was too full! There were also foods that aren't offered at your standard buffets (snow crab legs, dungeness crabs, grilled chili wings, jellyfish, etc.), and for a price of $13.95 for a Sunday dinner, I'm not going to complain. The presentation is excellent and very clean. The desserts are housed inside glass door. Ate here recently with my husband and 3 kids. This place is very large inside, tons of seating. On the classy looking side as far as buffets go. Everything looked clean, including the restroom. As for the food there is a pretty decent selection. Drinks aren't not included in the buffet price from what I understood from the receipt. But they are very attentive at keeping drinks filled and empty plates cleared. Quite a lot of seafood, from squid salad to raw oysters, to crab legs and plenty of things in between. Hibachi, sushi, the standard Asian fair like fried rice, egg rolls, dumplings, orange chicken etc. there is also a dessert station with a chocolate fountain and ice cream machines, which my kids loved. They definitely did not eat enough to get the money's worth. But all in all we would go back sometime when the craving to stuff ourselves strikes. ;) read more

I was debating between 3 and 4 stars. Considering I have been to a good number of buffets I have more experiences/expectations for these type of restaurants. They do have a fairy good selection of foods, including crab legs and steak on the dinner menu. My favorite there is crawfish and roasted duck since they actually have a great seasoning compare to other places around. Not too crowded most of the time Im there and service is OK I dont expect much from buffet in term of excellent customer services. Nothing but positivity when describing Manor Buffet. Each and every time I travel to Lancaster PA it's a must that I come and eat here. They have buffets where I live but nothing compares to Manor Buffet. The restaurant is beautiful and the epitome of cleanliness (I absolutely adore the decor). The waiters/waitresses are kind and on the ball when it comes to clearing dishes & drink refills. The service at the Hibachi grill is excellent. The other stations are always constantly being cleaned and restocked. The hot food is HOT and the cold food is COLD. Sooo many different stations and choices, there truly is a dish for everyone. My personal favorite are the ayce raw oysters & clams, the craw fish and the Hibachi Station. The price is EXCELLENT! And make sure you save room for dessert so you can enjoy the chocolate fountain! Just a note-The restaurant is super clean but I do get freaked out because so many people are touching the serving spoons, forks, tongs etc. that I ALWAYS bring my own hand sanitizer and use it after I go up for seconds, thirds etc. There is also a hand sanitizer machine near the bathroom.
