I have NO idea why this place has such high reviews.. maybe bc this is the only Chinese buffet in town? There's nothing special about this place compared to hundreds of other buffets around any town in US. It's really high priced at $18.95 pp, they start charging from 3 year olds. Most importantly they didn't have any crabs.. the only real seafood they had were shrimp and crawfish (which took forever to come out like once an hour maybe lol) the place was completely packed. We have been here multiple times and we absolutely love it. The hibachi is our favorite. They have called crawfish that is very good also. Overall the quality of the food is much better than most Buffets we have been to. Would recommend this place. read more

Has Manor Buffet been sold to new owners?? Been going there for almost four years and never had a bad meal. On Friday May 26 2023 went for lunch with my wife. The variety of food was the same and everything seemed normal, however the food was not anywhere up to their normal quality. Everything we tried was tasteless, I tried the Chicken & Broccoli and it tasted as if it was just boiled no flavor. I thought it was me but my wife had the same reaction to whatever she tried as well. We were both very disappointed & were wondering what happened all of a sudden. It seemed as if the entire kitchen staff were new and were trying to duplicate the original menu. I am sincerely hoping that they just had a bad day so we can return to what has become our favorite Chinese Restaurant. read more

Wow. I have never seen a buffet like that. But first things first. You don't expect a decent eatery for a reasonable price in a town like Lancaster, PA. The buffet is tucked in a shopping center (that's pretty expected), the eatery is very spacious inside with high ceilings. The service is quick and courteous, prices are about $18 per person for dinner. The food assortment tries to catch as many tastes as possible (i guess surviving on serving authentic Chinese food in Lancaster would be difficult). The buffet offers from Chinese and Japanese fare to Italian, American, and anything imaginable that the locals would eat. The selection of pastries is insane. (As is really good). Where this buffet blew my mind is how it is protein-dominated. There were exactly 2 vegetable dishes there that did not have cheese in them, and they were Italian. The rest of the offerings were wall-to-wall animal proteins. Sushi galore, beef, chicken, pork, in numerous iterations, items that other buffets skimp on. I wish I could have given negative stars here. I have to say, probably the worst buffet I have had. Let's start with sushi. All rolls except one fell apart when I picked it up. That shows poor technique. My wife couldn't eat any as every roll on the bar had cucumber. Would have been nice to have variety. Must have been that the chef only new one thing. Rice cucumber and mix the fish up. Hot food. Lo Mein has zero flavor and no veggies at all. Undercooked noodles. Chinese food was bland. Only thing that had flavor was the jalapeño chicken. Whatever cream cheese they use is also too sweet. Makes the crab Rangoon weird tasting. They advertise crab legs but there were none, actually the reason we drove out of the way to come here. Instead they boil Stone Crabs in plain water and cut the whole crab in half. For one thing, stone crab is a sustainable source. If you take the claw and put the crab back. On route to Boston we were hoping to go to an amish buffet, but didn't make it in time. Seen a lot of mixed reviews about this place online, but decided to give it a whirl and I am glad we did! From the outside it looks like an average -strip mall buffet joint... But once inside OMG! The decor on the inside is ridiculous and beautiful. The buffet has food from all over the country. There was a lot of different foods that I have never tried. I recommend the "Swaine" They also have a cook to order hibachi grill inside as well that is included in the price and really good sushi (if you're into that thing)! I am not a fan of buffet, particularly Chinese buffet in a tourist area. However, I am impressed with this one. First, its price is reasonable. $15 for dinner is pretty good with many food choices. We got snow crab legs, good size cocktail shrimps, tender corn on the cob, crawfish, stuffed mushroom, fried shrimp with good batter. Their hibachi was really good too with crispy shrimps. Second, we came at 9pm (late for prime time buffet) and we still got decent food. Third, good service There were many dessert choices but I was too full to take advantage of it. Sure, they have meatloaf, mashed potatoes, fried chicken and the like for those in your party interested in those things but the forte here is "Chinese" food. The food is good. The variety is impressive and the price is reasonable. The General Tso's Chicken was good as were the Gyoza (that's pot stickers for the uninitiated). My friend and I both arrived there for dinner on Monday, 25 May, 2022, and this is our review: Absolutely vile, and DISGUSTING. Abysmal attention to detail and to the overall quality of the food. The sushi--the tuna was going black, and the Coconut Shrimp was Luke warm, with cold sauce. Unimpressive and stupid! We went to Manor Buffet for the advertised crawfish boil. We had fresh oysters, fresh clams, sushi. My favorite was the crispy chicken entree and Chinese spareribs. My husband loved the fresh oysters, salted deep fried shrimp, and the sushi. The selection was amazing! When we were finished I found the carving station on the way to the restroom! As buffets go this has become the worst in the East Valley. Cold hot food, dishes take an hour or more to replenish. The person who makes sushi was squatting in the corner when I asked her about the empty dishes that once held sushi rolls and when I did she looked at her watch as if 7 pm was late. So, I am not a huge buffet fan... We were here after a long day in Lancaster and were starving to boot. We never frequent any kind of buffet (other than Indian during lunch) so this was kind of rare for us, but we really thought we could eat our money's worth. There are Tons of stations Seafood, Soups, Traditional American, Chinese, Cold, Sushi, Carving Hibatchi and Dessert with a Chocolate fountain (hello paradise for kids) We enjoyed the food much more than any other buffet we have been forced to go to as children or on family gatherings and work functions. The food was really good and the selection seemed to be replaced pretty often. The service is kind of off and on. Many times they would come by to clear, but they did not really come by to check on drink levels or silverware. Other than that, the food was much better than expected and the selection is large enough that almost everyone can find something to eat. worth coming with a large crowd with different wants/tastes that is very hungry. read more
