We got here late in the evening so understandable that some of the food trays were not as filled. But had a excellent variety of foods that you don't even find in NYC. All you can eat included a carving station (which changes based on the day of the week) as well as a pick your own fixings Hibachi bar. Price was excellent for what you can eat ($14.95 for adults, $7.95 or $11.95 for kids). Has a raw bar as well though I didn't try it as it was late in the evening and you can't be sure how long the oysters have been sitting there. Definitely would go back. read more

This is a great Chinese/Japanese buffet close to Dutch Wonderland and Amish country...and a really great alternative to all the smorgasbords out there in this area of Lancaster. Don't get me wrong, the smorgasbords are the heart of Lancaster...but once you have been at one, they are pretty much all the same! American comfort food, steamed vegetables or cooked in butter, and minimum seasoning. Manor Buffet had perfectly seasoned dishes, sushi/sashimi, a chocolate fountain, and ice cream, cakes, and fruit for dessert. Notable dishes: different shrimp preparations (not just the typical fried shrimp), Chinese soy sauce duck, fish entrees, crab, crayfish, bbq ribs, good selection of sauteed vegetables, and a hibachi made to order buffet. Well where to start.... Having passed this place up many different times for other buffet restaurants I can say that it was a BIG mistake. Having been to almost every other Buffet Restaurant in Lancaster county and finally trying here I'm actually sorry for passing it up previously. I will say that all Buffet places have their own specialities but the Manor has it all. Good, plentiful items that are continually being restocked because it's that good. From all the appetizers to your final plate it's all fresh foods that you choose from. Then the ending dish the desserts from fruits to the creamiest soft serve ice cream I've had at a restaurant are top of the chart and if you leave feeling disappointed it's your own fault. The inside décor makes you feel as though you are sitting at an outside venue. They are always cleaning the service islands so everything looks so good you don't know where to start. To close this review out I will say we will have Manor Buffet on our Eat Out Night Place and do yourself a favor and try here. I hate to think that this place will soon be so liked lines will be there. But I will say for what you get for the very modest price will have you there and already planning your return visit like we have done. Our Pizza night out has now taken a back seat to Manor. Reviews are like people, each has their own opinion, someone has an issue and instead of bringing it up to your server you write a negative point. Then, if that weren't enough, they make BBQ pork and fried chicken that's the best I've had since living in the South! First time here. The staff is so friendly. The place is clean and very big. I was impressed by all the food choices, they have so much and what I had was hot and delicious. The food is constantly be filled. I had the general tso chicken and it had the perfect amount of spice, broccoli & chicken, egg rolls. Pepper steak, ribs, so many seafood choices..desserts, cakes, pies,cookies, fruit and a chocolate fountain. Our server was the Best. He kept the tables clean and the drinks filled. Very good food, very reasonable at $15/person. Was debating on 4 or 5 stars, but I wasn't totally blown away by the selection, so it gets a 4. Plus the drive is roughly an hour from our house. If you're in lancaster, absolutely stop in. Worth the trip out, but can't say I'd drive an hour out here frequently. I was very surprised by the decor and the food, I liked both of those a lot. Although, if you are a sushi fan like myself; I would like to point out that there wasn't many varieties. There were two plates of sashimi, along with sushi that was fried and different types of rolls. There was a lot of Italian style food (i.e: pizza, mac and cheese, calamari) and finger foods such as french fries and wings. I particularly loved the steak there, you would think that if it was at a buffet it would generally fall short. Wrong, the steak there was above par, it had a great smell and mouth-watering taste, I would go again just to eat that! Additionally, there was a cooking station, and a desert station with frozen yogurt, ice cream(with cones!), and fresh fruit. My family made this restaurant a place we will visit every time we are in Lancaster. I would definitely recommend this! read more

Very pleased. Highly Recommend. Went for the first time on Valentines Day around 2:45. The lobby was very full. We were told 25 minutes wait for a table for two. We were sat with our drinks in less than 15 minutes of speaking with the hostess. Excellent selection on the buffet. Everything was clearly labeled and stocked often. Wide variety of food choices from Crab legs (my favorite), hibachi selections cooked to order, hand rolled sushi, and traditional Chinese selections. Seafood options included shrimp, clams, mussels, oysters, pork, and chicken made many different ways. Also more "American cuisine" for those who don't like Japanese or Chinese styles including pizza, Mac and cheese, quesadillas, and a large selection of fresh fruits. Dessert options were also impressive with delicious cakes, cookies, pastries, pudding, soft serve ice cream, and even a chocolate fountain! The whole restaurant looked clean and cared for properly including the restrooms. *Beware if you get cold easily you do Not want to sit in the dining room behind the host stand. The fact that some people were standing with the lobby door open and letting the 14 degree air inside. Since this dining room is so close to that area it was probably 15-20 degrees colder where we were sitting. I must give credit to the restaurant they did have about 5-6 space heaters in that area, but it just couldn't keep up with all the cold air leaking in through the front door. (If they wanted to help cut that cold air coming inside a forced air blower pointed straight down above the front door would help keep the cold air out and the warmth, or vice versa.) Overall I will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone. My soda was never empty, dirty plates were not on the table for more than 5 minutes, and our server was friendly. We paid 2x $14.95 for an adult "dinner" buffet plus sodas. Our total check was about $35. Extremely worth every penny. read more

Less than a mile West of the Lancaster Outlets on Route 30 is Manor Buffet. This is a Chinese Buffet that goes beyond. Yes, it has the standard item you would expect at a Chinese Buffet but it also has many non-Chinese offerings. We are a mixed couple so my partner likes the fresh noodle dishes prepared at the rear of the facility. She says they are always very good. They also have an extensive offering of fresh prepared sushi. I being the non-Asian always start out with a large salad. I do not have to bring my own dressing as I find their blue cheese to my liking. I also like the Chinese offerings but I always start with the meatloaf or the pepper fried sausage or both that is served during lunch. We do not go with children but from what I see mac & cheese, fries, basic pizza etc. is what the kids like. You can finish with fresh fruit, to be honest the quality varies with the season but during the Summer it is usually very good. There is a large offering of desserts; cakes, cookies, puddings, Jell-O and soft ice cream. I am a senior and they do offer a discount but I do not ask for it because everything is so reasonably priced I feel guilty taking it. The restaurant is clean and I am always greeted with a smile. The people that work on the floor are all Asia and do a great job. My favorite Chinese buffet in Southeastern Pennsylvania including Philadelphia. My Star rating is based on a facility of the same category. A Five Star Rating at Fleming Steakhouse is not the same as a Five Star rating for Cheese Cake Restaurant as they are different type facilities. read more

The first day it opened I ate there an it was ok for being a new place, but since than I think it has become somewhat better. The service was very good an the waiter was very attentive, the food bars were very clean as well as the floors and plates, my mom an I had just come in when they opened for luch so the food was very was fresh and non of it was dried out, they had lots of choices including some American dishes. If you like sushi they have nice fresh rolls some with raw fish an some without any fish, it was fresh and cold like it should be. They have a bar where you can pick everything you want them to cook mixed in with noodles. There was good selection of soup an a salad bar. The dessert select was my favorite part they had at least 4 different cakes that tasted fresh and not dry they also have banana pudding. We ordered ice water and tea an it was good for being tea. Wow! This place is magnificent!!! We go there as much as we can because it really does have everything! There is stuff for little kids that aren't adventurous and stuff for people who want to try a lot of new things. If you like seafood it is definitely worth the money. Been here twice now and both times the food was really good. Everything was the correct temperature. Hot food was hot and cold food was nice and cold. I am a very picky eater and there was plenty for me to choose from. The chicken and broccoli was good and I was surprised at how good the egg rolls were. (Most other Chinese Buffet's I've been to they've tasted strange. Like they were a frozen product.) The sweet and sour chicken had a nice tasting batter and was fried completely through, no gummy spots. A lot of the American fare foods were really good. I know they were probably frozen but the corn fritters were a pleasant surprise. Sweet and crispy. Another surprise was the dessert options. The chocolate fountain tasted like warm melted Hershey's chocolate. I really recommend getting one of the coconut macaroons and dunking that in the chocolate. But make sure you use the provided skewers. No fingers that would be yucky. They have the usual bananas covered in red sauce but also strawberries, these were really good over the ice cream. Although, the soft serve texture was a little icy. Not so much that it was awful but it was noticeable. I know this may seem silly but everyone was surprised at how good the sodas were. Sometimes at places like this the soda can be flat or watered down. These were bubbly and just well good. The interior has a bright sunny paint job to it and the lay out of all the tables is great. There is enough space so you aren't knocking elbows with other people. There is kind of a natural flow to the traffic. The hibachi style food and the carving station are along the back wall and the sushi is along the side wall near the desserts. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms. The service the first time was a bit better, they were more attentive but neither time did we get bad service. The second visit was just kind of average. Not good but not bad. There were a couple items we weren't fond of. The fried chicken on a stick was just so-so and my mom kept getting things that said shrimp that didn't taste anything like shrimp. One tasted like imitation crab and the other like a sausage patty. There were only two items that were inedible. Steer clear of the mac & cheese and the one kind of cake that looks like it has caramel on top. The mac & cheese had this weird buttery artificial cheese taste. To me it tasted like what would happen if someone melted down a bunch of cheese curls and poured them ontop of over cooked noodles. And the cake was coffee not caramel which wouldn't be bad but it tasted like you were eating cake soaked in really bitter old coffee. All in all it was two very pleasant trips. The price is quite reasonable and is about in line with other Chinese buffets in the area. I feel like I should note that the per pound price for take out is really good. For lunch (excluding seafood) it is only 3.99 a pound. Which is about 2 bucks cheaper than comparable places in the area. On our first visit my brother and I brought home a container for my Mom and she said the food was really good even after having sat for awhile. read more

For years I have been coming to Manor Buffet and never had a problem. I'm a little upset they decided to do away with the crab legs however I still decided to continue to go there. Recently today we went there for lunch and I took my daughter along. Well needless to say she got food posioning from the food. I don't think we will be returning after that incident. read more

Just opened. Stopped in for lunch and so glad we did. Its located in the Kmart Shopping Center on Lincoln Hwy. Although the outside appears shabby, inside you are in for a delight. There are food bars filled with Korean, Japanese, American and Italian food choices. Besides the traditional fried rice, beef and broccoli, Gen'l Taos chicken etc, there is a very large variety of shrimp, crab, squid, fried jelly fish, and fish dishes. There is also a Hibachi grill where you can create your own meal, a bar of raw and fried sushi, and a dessert bar. There is also 5 kettles of steaming soup to choose from. My hubby loves seafood and he comment that the fish was FRESH and the crab, shrimp and other delights were delicious. I stuck to beef and broccoli, chicken, fried rice and the non seafood fare. Mine was good also. Service was great...staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning. Prices are adults Lunch buffet $8.45 and Dinner buffet $13.95 a person. Children 2-10 are on sliding scale. They offer carry out buffet also. This is a great addition tot he Lancaster area. read more

We ate there tonight, Wednesday, and the food was excellent. Definitely a must go, and would go back tomorrow if we were going to be in the area. We had a party of 10 and not one complaint, there wasn't many people seated, yet the food was fresh and hot. No more lobster and then no more crab... now the imperial crab (imitation) is so full of mayonnaise.. the desserts and fruit bar is good and the food is hot. The waitresses stare at you and are not so friendly. The oysters are good but sometimes don't taste as fresh as when I go on the weekends. Sometimes you are eating and a city bus unloads and the people pour in and eat. sometimes the people get crowded and pushy and pile their plate up so there is no shrimp or ribs left. women come out of the kitchen with food and they don't care if they cut you off or bump you with the cart. The hibachi cooks are pleasant and do a good job! Sushi bar is better than other ones in the area. I got very sick eating fried oysters last month (I think they were not fresh). If you like going to a buffet, you will like it BUT I think the local restaurants are much better since the prices are all about the same ($15 per person.) read more

They had a lot to choose from, however the choices were not good. Most food was lukewarm to almost cold. Also much of the food was very bland. Deserts were a joke, cakes were dry, puddings were watered down and the ice cream came out of the machine already melted. Servers were polite but hovered around tables and would ask if you were done with the plate while still eating. Our go to for chinese food is the Dragon Hibachi and will continue. Dined at the Manor Buffet last night and I mentioned to the hostess at the front cashier/desk I was going to write a review. I told her that the service, food, and ambiance exceeded my expectations and that this establishment deserves high praise for the excellent job it does. So many of the restaurants in the Lancaster area have been a disappointment for me and my husband, The food here is done well especially for a buffet, The service is on par, Reasonably priced as well. Wow. I am blown away. We are Chinese buffet aficionados, so we kind of try them wherever we roam, so to speak. As far as "authenticity", well... if you want "authentic", you don't got to a buffet. But variety??? Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Sushi, American, even MEXICAN/FUSION (??!!) incredible salad bar... and the quality was unbeatable. There was tempura, hibachi, great sushi bar, the seafood selection at dinner was AMAZING (we got there right at the transition between lunch and dinner, so I opted to pay the dinner price to eat the awesome looking seafood. (They ended up charging me the lunch price anyway, even though I told them I got dinner food.) Everything was hot and fresh. I was too full to try the dessert, but my son loved it, particularly the chocolate fountain. This place just blew our minds. We hate the Chinese buffets in all of York County- 90% of them suck outright, and the other 10% are mediocre at best- so from now on we will make the drive over here when we get a hankering for Chinese. Will definitely come for lunch though, cause dinner IS pricey, and there is plenty of amazing food without the dinner prices. read more
