One of my favorite Thai places in Maryland. My go-to order is the green curry and the drunken noodles. Amazing flavor and very tender chicken + mixed vegetables. The serving size is decent; you could definitely share one order of curry between two people. They definitely don't skimp on the spice, so order accordingly. Disappointing and Lacking in Flavor!! I recently ordered chicken fried rice and a few other entrées from Manow Thai in Clarksville, located in the River Hill District, and I was disappointed by how little flavor the food had. The chicken was very plain, and the Pad Thai was unusually red, tasting more like it had been made with ketchup or tomato paste rather than a traditional tamarind sauce. Thai food is usually full of vibrant, balanced flavors that make it so enjoyable, but this meal was missing that depth and character. I have enjoyed Thai cuisine at many different restaurants over the years, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet the quality or flavor I've come to expect. Small, modern Thai spot with a great vegan menu. The ambiance is very nice. Located just off Route 32 and Route 108. The waiter was very helpful and made some suggestions. In the mood for some fresh and tasty Thai food? Find some time to visit this small restaurant in the Clarksville Commons Shopping Center. It is a bit tricky to know exactly where the entry is for the parking lot which is located in the back. Slow down as the driveway pops up very quickly as you come along Rt. 108. The restaurant itself is on the lower level of a two story structure. The space is small but clean and comfortable to sit at. They have a brisk take out business, so don't be surprised that the person waiting on you at the tables is more likely the one who truly runs the cash register for the take out side of the business. Our helper was very polite though, there was a bit of trouble writing down our orders and understanding our questions due to a possible language barrier but he did his best with our large group of 11 people. Meals did not arrive all together for our group. I do believe the dishes were prepared mixed in with their brisk take out business, so there was some lag time in receiving dishes for some vs others in our group. The appetizers of summer rolls and dumplings were enjoyed and prepared with fresh ingredients and dipping sauces. My test of how fresh a salad truly is would be in how their green papaya salad is prepared. I was pleased with how fresh and delicious this was. Also the Pad Thai was delicious, not too spicy and full of flavor with a small extra cost for the shrimp I wanted for my meal. Portions were generous and several of us took extras home. We stopped by Manow Thai for a quick bite to eat before heading home from the airport. We ordered the Bangkok Noodles which was a spicy mix of Pad Thai meets Drunken noodles. It was delicious. The portion size was so large, I could eat it for leftovers twice. It comes with chicken and shrimp and the flavors were strong and powerful. The restaurant was very clean and quiet. The food here is wonderful. A lot of Thai restaurants in the area add lots of extra sugar and tone down the Thai spices, but the food here has a great balance of Thai flavors. Also, if you request spicy, they actually make it very spicy, which we really love (if you aren't accustomed to eating hot peppers, definitely do not order your food spicy here). The chicken and beef dishes have been great, freshly cooked, well-trimmed pieces of meat, and vegetables have never been overcooked or soggy. I was looking for a Thai Food place closer to home and decided to try Manow Thai. Located in the Clarksville Commons area, the restaurant sits off the side of Clarksville Kitchen. The restaurant is a bit snug for dine-in (it probably seats 10-15 people comfortably). I ordered Basil fried rice spicy and spring rolls to go. I asked for no eggs, but alas, there were eggs in the dish, which made picking them out cumbersome. The rice was not as spicy as I would have liked and tasted like regular fried rice. Spring rolls were nice and crispy. Pricing seemed high ($21), but everything is expensive. I liked that the owners are local and the service was really nice. Would I try it again? If I do, I'll dine-in so my modifications are well noted. read more

This restaurant operates in extremely unsanitary conditions. Employees do not change gloves, handle the cash register and other surfaces, and then touch food without replacing them. The same gloves are also used to clean tables. In addition, employees are not wearing hair restraints or protective head coverings while handling food. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted because there were a lot of items that looked enticing. I decided on the manow wings and pad see-ew with beef. The wings were slightly spicy for me as I can generally only tolerate mild. My nose started to get a little runny. I'm sure most would laugh at me and say it wasn't spicy at all. Loved the flavor and crispiness. I thought the noodle was cooked just perfectly as I generally like mine more cooked and not firm. Some pieces of beef were really chewy and overcooked while others were tender. The dish itself could have used more soy sauce. Back in town and it was just as good as I remember! Thai iced coffee hit the spot to get me through the rest of my day. Would highly recommend the roti along with the manow squid/wings! This is some of my the best Thai food I've had in the states. It should he noted that some of these dishes have been americanized, but that doesn't detract from how tasty they were. This was our first visit to this restaurant. We came on a Wednesday night for carryout. It was not too busy. Our order was ready within 15 minutes. We tried the crispy eggplant as an appetizer for $7.95 and it was the best item from our order. It was large, crispy, and tasty. For entrees, we tried the Thai stir-fry with pork for $13.95. This came with mixed vegetables, but it tasted very bland. Not recommended unless you don't like any seasoning. Another entree we had was Sweet and Sour Chicken for $13.95. It is not like the Chinese version with crispy meat. Instead the chicken is stir fried in a curry sweet gravy. It was just okay. Was craving thai food. Looked up some nearby spots (from where I was at the time) and this place popped up. Located in Clarksville Commons, the place is new, very clean and welcoming. Great customer service! Some indoor and outdoor seating. Placed a take-out order for my thai staple, drunken noodles with chicken (extra spicy). I went outside and walked around a bit, came back and my food was ready! Got home ready to devour my food but my meal was slightly disappointing. The service was mediocre. I called to place a pick up order and the person taking the call was maybe already annoyed such that they showed no real courtesies. The food was alright. I ordered the steamed dumplings, Tom yum soup with chicken and pad thai with chicken. I've had the Tom yum soup and pad thai in the past. The Tom yum soup is delicious, no complaints although I wished I had ordered the bigger size. I wasn't sure if there was a bigger size. The steamed dumplings were good but I thought for the price point, I would have gotten more instead of 4 small pieces. My significant other and I thought the pad Thai wasn't as good as it was in the past. The pad Thai tasted sweet and was very greasy. We placed an order through Uber Eats tonight because I wanted to see how Clarksville does Thai food. Thankfully I was not disappointed. I ordered the Panang and red curry, both which I specified should be spicy, and they delivered. When the food arrived, the first thing I noticed was the generous portion of rice. Most Thai restaurants these days have shrunken their rice portions but not here. The first sip of my Panang curry broth and I got a welcoming kick of spice. What I've noticed about Thai food these days is sometimes "spicy" is too spicy and sometimes it's extremely bland. This was just the right amount of spice and tasted delicious. Strongly advise *against* Manow Thai. We've ordered from them four times. First three times, ordered a stirfry and a curry, both medium spice, decent food (nothing to write home about but not bad either). Same again this evening. However, one bite of each of the dishes nearly blue my spouse and my head off. It was like eating a scotch bonnet raw. I grew up eating very spicy Indian food and I'm no wuss. We order medium for my spouse - I'd be fine with hot. But this "medium" was so hot as to be truly inedible. I called the restaurant to ask about it, and got a very rude lady who told me sometimes spice varies and then she *hung up the phone on me* as I was asking if they could remake it without spice. If spicy varies, why are you offering people the chance to select their spice level? Both dishes had to go right into the trash, which is a waste of food and money. I could accept someone misread the order, and I'd have been willing to go and pick up a remake (and return their inedible food) but the hang-up made me think nope, I'm done. Noticed a theme after I wrote my review, if you look at reviews here and on other sites, they really don't care about customer service - when small places are like this, it makes me think they're probably just phoning it in on the food as well. Came here because we saw another review that mentioned this was some of the best Thai food in the states recommending the fried calamari and roti & curry chicken. Well, we came here and ordered both. Although the description of the manow squid said lightly battered, in my opinion, it was quite the opposite. Me and my fiancée ended up peeling off the batter because it was excessive. There were many string thin squid pieces and just batter (no squid) in others. Some pieces were more substantial. I know Thai spiciness is on another level, so to the average person this dish might be spicier than expected. I believe the description said medium spicy. Regarding the roti, I felt as if the pieces were smaller than average. This is not roti canai, but is basically a softer Taiwanese crepe without the scallions. The dining space is smaller, but clean and open. The hallway leading to the bathrooms and the bathroom itself were a bit grimy. I felt like this restaurant is a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get. The flavors were solid. If I came back, I would try other things on the menu. read more

I had a taste for some Thai food at work 1 day so I decided to scan the area for a restaurant. I saw Manow Thai was close by and based on the reviews, decided to give them a try. I ordered online via the website. My food was ready quickly and I received a text alert for pickup. I picked it up about 20 mins later than I received the alert that it was ready, and the food was STILL piping hot! The restaurant appeared tidy and had a nice ambience. Dim lighting and plenty of table and counter seating. The worker who assisted me was very friendly. All requested items, chopsticks, forks, sauces, and napkins were neatly packed with my meal. I ordered 2 (Very Spicy) Drunken Noodle meals w/ chicken & 2 Thai Iced Teas. $30 total. I thought that was a great price point. The portions were large. Had I known, my friend and I could've shared. But we were definitely happy with the amount of food we got because that dish was DELICIOUS! Crunchy veggies, very flavorful.... We were both so satisfied and fulfilled, and grateful for leftovers! As someone who has lived in clarksville for a while, I used to love this place. It is really convenient to go to and the food is always amazing. While it is pretty pricy I would say it is worth it but I wish there were bigger portions. One big issue I had recently is the workers, they are very rude if you dine in or anything and do not immediately tip. To them I believe they are unawear that a tip is optional for a reason.
