Manzos is a great spot to stop and grab a burger. It is a family owned joint in a family oriented neighborhood. The owners are very friendly and welcome you into the store-front as if it is their home. They have a wide array of burger choices all of which are good. My favorite is the 5-star burger, it offers a perfect variety of taste, from the sweet caramelized pineapple to the salty applewood smoked bacon, this burger is sure to please any connoisseur. I also recommend the Italian Burger, the Sunny Burger or if you're really daring, the Hangover Burger. The only downside of Manzos is the location. Stuck on the busy intersection of Western and 111th St. There isn't enough parking and it is very busy/congested outside but don't let that stop you from making a stop in for a bite. read more

My husband and I ordered dinner from here tonight and had it delivered. We got a blue cheese burger, a bourbon burger, a star burger, mini corn dogs, and fries. The food was AMAZING even after a 20 minute drive to my house. I can't begin to imagine how phenomenal it would be IN the restaurant and I can't wait to find out! Sooo, food is delicious! My biggest concern is their card disclosure, or lack there of. We ordered take out for the first time tonight. I stayed home with my 3 year old as my husband went to order and pick up. My husband ordered and paid, was told $29.23, then received his receipt with a noted service fee for $1.15, making the final total $30.38. Upon seeing such, he inquired and was told the charge was for cards, if you pay cash there is no extra charge. The fact that he was told one total, then given a receipt for a higher total without explanation, I felt that as deceptive. Then while my husband waited for our order, another patron came in and paid....later realizing the extra charge as well....she decided to get loud. Granted, there IS in fact a tiny sign in the front of their card reader, which was originally hidden by another sign about specials until the next customer voiced her opinion. I do believe some more clear disclosure about said extra fee would squash any future disputes among customers for the better. read more

Was getting my car repaired nearby and saw the great pics and reviews on Yelp of this place and decided to try them. Small place but very clean. They've only been open close to 9 months. I love supporting small businesses! What I was impressed with right away was how friendly the staff were. I appreciated that. There was a couple that had gotten the Italian Beef sandwich which was huge and the Bourbon Burger. Once I saw that Bourbon Burger masterpiece, I had to have that!!! Very interesting combo of food that make up that juicy burger. The burgers are handmade people! When I opened my container to see my burger, I couldn't believe how huge it was! This was by far the BEST burger I've EVERY had. The bun was perfectly toasted, the turkey burger was juicy and full of flavor. And the fries runs circles around Five Guys fries. This place used to be 5 Star Burger but same people..just a different name Let me start by addressing others complaints. 1) there is parking...its just behind the building. If you can't even walk that far you probably shouldn't be eating burgers and fries anyways...just saying. 2) Cash only is not that serious...especially when you consider its a small mom and pop trying to make a living. wow, i don't usually crave burgers, but manzo's burger truly knocks it out of the park! this restaurant is a beautiful latinx locally owned haven in morgan park with its hand cut fries, creative burgers, and delicious shakes. i came with a large group of ten and we still managed to fit in the curved booth in the corner (psa: booths are the BEST). i ordered the jalapeno burger with chihuahua cheese, carnitas, guacamole, and an egg and as a group, we ordered cheese fries, fries, cheese sticks, and onion rings to share. the burger was so big, like almost bigger than my face big, but still SO delicious. although incredibly rich from the toppings, the jalapenos provided a nice contrast to cut thru the fattiness of the patty and the carnitas. the fries were the STAR of the show, crisp and expertly seasoned. the onion rings were also great, crunchy and slightly naturally sweet. i also got to try a sip of the mango shake, which was nice and refreshing despite all the ice cream in it! i'd skip the cheese fries next time tho as the fries are honestly better without the slathering of cheese sauce. i can confidently say that manzo's burger is my favorite burger in chicago thus far (you heard me, better than au cheval's 18 dollar monstrosity), and for the extremely reasonable prices, i'll for sure be back again! read more

I have been wanting to try Five Star for some time, I went today and it did not disappoint. It is a small place, seats about 16 people. You can see your food being cooked, fresh cut fries, beef is really good, they have white American cheese, it is really a great addition to the burger along with the bacon. The five stars for this review is very appropriate. The staff helps with the stars, they are pretty friendly and will answer any questions. They are cash only so have some cash handy. Great Burger Joint! I had a Blue Cheese Burger with Bacon. The only thing that wasn't great about the burger was the fried onion strings...very stiff almost rubbery. I'd remove that from the burger and it was delish. The fries were awesome season to perfection for me. My Husband had a traditional cheese burger and fries....loved it. However, for him the fries were little too salty. Also it's small so it's not for large groups just quick bite or take on the go. The staff were delightful and we are planning on going back. The bread was buttery and a little toasty. Yummo!! The only thing that killed it for me was the long gooey onion fries on it. They were soggy n hard to bite into, they kept slipping. One of my favorite places to get a veggie burger. The burger is very well put together. It doesn't fall apart. Has a great consistency which is key to making a good black bean burger. I always ask for mine without the chipotle aioli/cheese only because I don't eat dairy :). I'll add mushrooms, grilled onions, and jalapeños. I've taken my family and friends here and they always come back afterwards. Presentation is great and photo ready. It's a family owned and operated business and you really get that mom and pop experience with the quality of ingredients and attention to detail. Service is amazing. Manzo's is definitely at the top when it comes to burger joints and in my honest opinion they're the best in the Beverly area (Top Notch is the only other burger spot in Beverly that can compete with Manzo's). My wife & I have been fans of Manzo's since 2015 when they were named 5 Star. They a nice little variety of burgers including the star burger which has bacon, onions and a grilled pineapple on it which my wife loves. Me I go for the classic bacon cheeseburger with fries. Their burgers are always made fresh to order with fresh ground beef (no processed pre formed patty) and fresh toppings. The burgers are a nice size and very filling. The fries are the best, hand cut and lightly salted. They're crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. You can call ahead or order when you get there. You can take it home to eat or you can eat it right there. The restaurant is not that big, they can literally seat about 15-20 people max. The restaurant is family owned; and the entire family is always very nice and pleasant when greeting and talking to customers. The prices are not bad either, they're not cheap but they're not too expensive either. They take both cash and credit card and for convenience they're on UberEats as well for the people who live far or simply don't want to travel to get a taste of Manzo's. I visit Manzo's several times a month as it is literally right down the street from where I stay. Manzo's burgers are the TRUTH plain and simple. I've never had a bad experience eating Manzo's.
