Service was excellent today. Our server cleared our plates & replaced our grips numerous times. He kept checking on us. Wish they turned on the exhaust above us because it got somewhat smoky while grilling the meats. Not sure if we at $100 worth of food among the three of us but everybody enjoyed it.

I've been here a few times and I always leave happy and full. My favorite thing about coming here is the banchan bar. I love filling my plate up bean sprouts and the different kimchi options. You can also fill up your plate with veggies to grill at your table. You get two different options on the all you can eat meat portion. I like the get the more expensive one for the beef tongue, but this time I got the cheaper one and was just as satisfied as other times. I tried the pancake this time and although it was delicious, I felt like it was lacking in green onion. Definitely put the pancake on the grill to crisp up. All the meats are pretty good, but I recommend asking for half servings of each meat, so you can try more types of meat! I'm sure I'll be back again, but maybe next time I'll try the hotpot.

Maple is an all you can eat Korean BBQ and hot pot in South Oklahoma City, the other one being Gangnam Korea BBQ in Moore. There are minor differences between the two to really recommend one over the other. In the end, going to which one really should be boiled down to where you live. Maple's seasoning of their meats is a little sweeter which make the meats taste better in my personal opinion. Banchans (small sides dishes) are self served at Maple so you don't have to worry about not having enough. In terms of prices, Maple is the cheaper eat but not by much though. The ventilation system at Maple is not the greatest and the restaurant is smaller. So on a busy weekend when operating at full capacity, be prepared to see smoke. Seriously at times, the ventilation just couldn't keep up. Luckily, your server does a pretty good job at switching the grill cover often so you won't suffocate. Why did I increase my review to 4 stars? It is a unique dining experience available really at only 2 locations. It's surprisingly good for group as everybody can sample a little of everything instead of just one or two items from a traditional Korean restaurant. I do want this establishment to stay in business to give people diverse dining experiences.

Came back for lunch and they've really stepped up service. Woman was watching closely so every time I used up the meat she was back to take a refill order. The meats good--cost 20/pp for lunch plus extra for drinks. If you catch put away some beef or pork bulgogi or brisket this will be banging for you. No real sides offered so that's a downer but veggies on a buffet for you to use on grill.

As a beef lover I'm a HUGE fan of AYCE meat places although I haven't come across many in OKC. I was so excited the husband said he'd take me last weekend and we'd invite a friend of his along as well. True to our form, we were the first to arrive as their doors opened for the day. The place was huge and my eyes lit up as I spotted the banchan bar. Our server was such a lovely girl. She asked whether we've visited before and I told her we were all virgins to Maple. She recommended we opt for the $19 buffet but as all three of us were big meat eaters we chose to go with the $24 option with the sirloin etc., I really did appreciate that the server didn't push to up sell us. She was also attentive to us throughout our meal as she made sure we had a constant flow of meats and changing of new grills. Korean food is a big favourite of mine and I used to eat it weekly when I lived in Bangkok where the K-culture is almost a way of life there. Restaurants with AYCE there generally don't include japchae, so you can imagine how enormous my eyes grew when I saw it at the banchan bar. Unfortunately, that was one of the few disappointments for me at Maple. It was void of flavours just a sweetness which truly shouldn't be for this dish. My highlight, though, was the baby octopus. Yes, I captured a picture of him on the grill looking like a tiny alien! Because the husband and his friend were squeamish of them, I had to finish the entire portion by myself and couldn't order any squid or Korean pancake to try for fear we'd be leaving foods unfinished. We loved the bulgogi and the pork belly and couldn't get enough of them. Sadly the sirloin was not as we'd hoped because it wasn't marinated and felt very dry and somewhat tough when grilled. This made us realise we should have heeded our server's advice and gone with the $19 buffet. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the flavours here aren't really Korean, just the concept of the BBQ, nonetheless, this is a great place to come and grill to your heart's content. Oh, and a massive thumbs up for the individual bottles of hand sanitser at each table. The germophobe in me cannot thank them enough for this thoughful add on even though I carry all kinds of spray and sanitsers in my handbag at all times anyway.

Does this restaurant have servers who help out on cooking the meat or do we have the option to cook it ourselves?

Our servers were attentive and kind of checked our meat-cooking progress from a distance, only swooping in when we welcomed them, haha! Very nice. I don't know whether there is an option for them to do all the cooking for you, if that's what you…

However, this patty melt used sourdough bread, which I'm a fan of, but the bread-to-patty ratio was off. They used the same frozen 1/3-pound patties for every burger, resulting in a huge amount of bread, a frozen grilled patty, and every bite feeling greasy and dirty. (They say fresh daily patties... I'm not sure what that means, fresh cooked from frozen? Fresh frozen delivered? Fresh inspired...I just saw frozen pucks thrown on a grill so....) Perhaps my expectations were too high, but honestly, it's just a burger on thick sourdough labeled "Patty Melt." I wouldn't go back, but the location is cool, and there are other places to try, so there's probably something for everyone.

We watched people sing happy birthday w a giant slice of strawberry shortcake. Great portions! We ordered the judges plate and added the burnt ends along w a small side of sweet cream corn. The food! Cornbread was on point! Not grainy, overly sweet, or dry! Soft, not bitter. Champion beans are delicious, smoky, seasoned just right. Mac & cheese!!! OMG! It's just right!! Creamy, full flavor, and not bitter. Sweet cream corn, I mean, you should try it, ask for a small sample so you can decide! Burnt ends!!!! You cannot leave this place w/o trying them. We added it for an additional $4 and it was worth it! The brisket had a nice smoke ring, full of flavor. Soft and not dry at all! Juicy. The chicken fell off the bone. Tender. Well seasoned. The pull pork was perhaps my favorite. On its own it was delicious but adding some of the world champion sauce and the spicy sauce together just took it there!! Honestly the sliced brisket left a lot to be desired and I do not think that it is the same product as the burnt ends. I am wondering if the burnt ends were from prime brisket and maybe the sliced brisket is from a lesser quality beef. That would make sense because the brisket burnt ends were absolutely divine and had lots of crispy bark that I just love. I was not really impressed by the bologna burnt ends and the mustard sauce. The bologna burnt ends lacked smokiness for me and I just did not enjoy the taste of the mustard (I normally love all mustards). So, let me tell you about the fried okra. I could eat a whole pound of that.....with ranch dressing of course. The finest fried okra!!!!!! We also loved the homemade pickles. I will always order homemade pickles if the option is available. These were great and we sure enjoyed the leftover bites! I would like to leave a little review that I think my little grandson would have left if he could type, use a computer and know all of his words. "I was really fond of the bbq beef but the standouts to me would have to be the mac n cheese and the championship bbq beans. In fact, I loved the bbq beans so much and got so excited that I put my forehead in the beans that my mommy put on my little child's placemat. After that all of the exursions of eating my food, playing with my food, flirting with our waitress and showing off my baby blues; I started yawning. I am not sure if it was the meat fatigue or the carb coma. Mommy and Daddy thought it was time to leave at that point and I agreed to cooperate as my bbq bean juice dyed hair was getting pretty sticky." I would definitely come in again and maybe try some other items. I would definitely get the prime brisket burnt ends again. Oh yes, AND THE OKRA and whatever my grandson wants, of course!
