This was a delightful end to our trip to Dallas, where much good food happened. The chef is a BBQ miracle worker. We had the brisket and sausage platter and the brisket melt with sweet potato fries, coleslaw and baked beans. 1. Brisket melts in your mouth 2. What is this Gouda meets chipotle combo I was missing all my life? 3. We loved the sausage so much we ordered an extra side 4. How do you make sweet potato fries that good? 5. Met a group of lovely ladies here for brunch yesterday and we had a great time! The place has a great covered patio, large bar area and TVs to keep you entertained. Trent was our server and he quickly became a reason to come back again! The $5 Old Fashioned was a hit as was their infused Bourbon! I got the blueberry pancakes and the presentation was as amazing as the pancakes themselves which I shared because there were FOUR! First visit...no complaints! Two thumbs up! read more

Wow! I had my kids 4th birthday party there yesterday and it was amazing! The GM Excel and the catering manager Laura really helped me plan every detail. I had a lot of out of town guests and they loved the place. Now the food. Outstanding! We had it set up buffet style for my 30 guests and we devoured it! The food alone is worth coming back. And our server Sarah C. (I think) was outstanding. She kept everything in order, was super friendly, and communicated with me the entire time. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for yummy food and great service. Top food; elote, brisket tacos and the chicken fingers! The sliders were good too! Laid back atmosphere. Service was good. Our server was Jennifer. Had a drink issue had to send it back a couple times. I ordered the wings(dusted) they were good. Had a problem with the food being subpar as i ordered the sausage and brisket plate. Came out with 1 piece of brisket that was cut in half which ordering based the picture of the plate they had on the table. Looked nothing like it. Brisket was dry. The floor manager actually did his best to accommodate to the issues we were having but definitely wasn't worth my bill for the food. The beers I had were the "bitter sisters" very good beer. As for the food, again not what I was expecting at all. Definitely based on the previous comments I was expecting better meal. I do however appreciate Jennifer for making sure a manager knew of the issues immediately and I also appreciate the manager for attempting to address them. read more

This place truly shatters the mold of your typical Dallas brunch. Everything on the menu is delicious and fairly priced. It took my party forever to finally figure out what we would have because everything sounded so inspired and amazing. We did not get one mediocre item brought to our table. That includes drinks. They have $2 Bloody Mary's and it's a FABULOUS Bloody Mary. The coffee was strong and flavorful. Our waitress was new but smashed it out of the park when it comes to service and attentiveness. The manager, joe visited our table several times to make conversation and make sure we were well taken care of. Even the kitchen staff came out to check on us and make friends with us. This place couldn't have been a better experience. Two bloody Mary's, a coffee and a brunch item and my tab was only $23?! That's how much one drink would cost at any other pretentious, annoying Dallas establishment. This place is the real deal. We will be back many many times. read more

Ok so for a bbq place this is actually a good one. It was a place we drove by often and never went in. This time we did a u-turn and went back for lunch. Needless to say we would do it again. The staff is very friendly. Food is amazing. They have a separate game area, which is nice because it can get loud sometimes. Plus a really nice outdoor seating area. read more

I don't know what has happened to this place, was great food and service but now it's like a plane trying to take off but can't and they don't care. Not sure how this place is getting all the good reviews? I will say their pricing was very reasonable but that was about the only plus for me. We came with a group of 19, had reservations, yet they only gave us one server?? What gives? We got our apps before we got our first drinks (1 bottle of champs), took forever for the one poor girl to get everyone's order and we had already sat back in the room for almost a half hour before they started taking orders?? Lastly, the burger left little to be desired. It was very small and way overcooked. Wasn't a huge fan of the fries reminded me of Wing Stop fries, just not my favorite. I did like that they put potato chips on the plate with the chips and queso. Just can't say I would be back for just Meh.... read more

My first time at ML. We've been to the State and Allen sister location numerous times and think it's great. I was meeting some folks that were flying in to Love so we wanted something close. The atmosphere is great, open spaces between the tables so you can have a discussion without sitting on top of one another. Our server, Charlie, was great as with the supporting staff. We started with the queso and home made chips, really good. I know this is a burger and bbq place but the salads have always been my favorite at State & Allen so I went back to my comfort zone with the chopped salad. Very good. My lunch mates tried the chili and the BBQ. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely a place I need to go back and just hang out over a couple of beers. read more

I'm sorry but for brunch this place was horrible. Ordered chicken and waffles. Bacon tasted horrible not sure even how. Syrup was okay though they only give you a tiny bit. Waffles were pretty good chicken was defiantly the worst thing on the plate. read more

For sure a 5 star joint! Loved checking this place out. Staff was friendly. Management was visible. Customers were friendly. All the food was phenomenal. We had Brunch and the pork bene was fab! The mask mandate was as it should be - if you want one use it but if not by all means sit down and order a round. It was obvious that freedom of choice was valued. I would love to come back here once the employees are not forced to wear masks too - they all looked healthy and I was not at all afraid to interact with them. I think my experience would have truly been six stars if only I could see their genuine smiles! read more
