The shredded chicken wasn't dry and if you're feeling a little bit of a Mexican-food taste for brunch, I would highly recommend eating this! This place puts me in mind of Northstar restaurant located in Columbus, OH. I ordered the Maplewood Hash (goetta is pork, they cannot remove this item from the hash) w/ a Mimosa, my sister ordered the Vegan Power Bowl, friend ordered the Avocado Toast and side of hash brown and another person ordered the Veggie Burger. Everything was very good! So good, i went back the very next day with another group of people! I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with scrambled eggs (eggs were salt heavy), another person ordered the veggie burger and another ordered the chicken club sandwich. The service the next day was slower. The restaurant was packed and tables were not being cleaned - again we were a conference in town at the time. A farm-to-table experience inside and out! All of their ingredients are fresh, locally sourced, and sustainable. We came on a Sunday morning (~11am) and it was already packed! Luckily we only waited in line to order for about 5 mins, then the line piled up. Here, you order first, then you find a seat. There are a ton of seating options for parties big and small. The whole place was roaring with noise because it was so busy. It brought such a great atmosphere! The aesthetic of the place was gorgeous with great lighting. For food, we got the lemon ricotta pancakes ($12) and avocado benedict ($11), two of their most popular brunch dishes. The benedict and pancakes were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The pancakes were super huge though! Literally the size of a frisbee, I definitely recommend sharing. Overall, the food was pretty basic and lackluster, but the vibes and service made up for it. We were so overwhelmed and felt rushed to order and grab a seat as soon as one was emptying and cleaned...so already not a pleasing experience...Kid's drinks also come in a glass (which they should never! As it's safer to put it in plastic and/or styrofoam) My cold brew tasted more like milk than actual brew...not my preference. As for my meal, I order the avocado Benedict, bacon and hash browns sides. The hash brown(s) was the best part of my meal! Most of the bacon slices were over cooked and not enjoyable. The avocado Benedict idea is tasty but disappointing upon arrival and eating...tasteless, cold, and needed seasoning... My fiancé liked the burger but the double patties were thin so it honestly looked like one patty (I didn't even realize it was double until I asked him after reading other reviews about how great it was) and the bread was so thick, the bread to patty ratio is off, at least for us. I had purchased one of their pressed juices but after we sat down I realized I couldn't drink it as it was unpasteurized and I had just recently discovered I am pregnant. This place is amazing. The ambience is barn rustic feeling. Since I don't drink orange juice I got a sweet green cold pressed juice and it was really good if you like greens. I got the Maplewood Hash which had goetta (pork since I don't eat meat I sub this with salmon skewers) hash browns, onion, bell pepper, local mushroom, jalapeño, corn, two cage free hard fried eggs. This dish was amazing. The only downfall is that your entire party has to be there before you can sit at your table as you pre-order your meal. It's an interesting atmosphere because it is more upscale, but you order at the counter. Our food arrived shortly after ordering. Berries Pancake (4/5) - I really want to try their pancake when I looked at the picture and glad that my friends ordered it as a sides. If you order as a sides it's smaller portions and it's $6. As someone who doesn't particularly love traditional breakfast offerings, I enjoy being able to order lunch selections in the morning.
