good ice cream. i used to come here all the time, but the staff is horrible. i've come here multiple times and literally left now without even ordering. girls disappear to the bathroom for 15 mins and lock the outside door, there's been line ups outside of people waiting. and then tonight got yelled at in front of everyone in the store for throwing my empty water bottle in recycling when i entered to order my ice creams. i was so shocked by the disrespect i will never come back. my friend said the same thing when she went too, the worker was so rude my friend decided to not order and just left. brutal service here read more

This used to be my favourite place as a kid. I loved all the mix ins and flavours they had and would frequently visit in the summer bc of the mail out coupons I used to receive. I also loved their cookie dough ice cream cake and got it so often for my birthday every year! So, it was no doubt I'd come here after meal for a sweet treat after not having it for so long due to Covid. Pictured is the birthday cake flavour with sprinkles and cookie dough in a chocolate dipped sprinkle cone. This was very disappointing... the ice cream was super melty but it wasn't even a hot day. They also didn't have as many flavours as I remembered before. I would come again just for old times sake and not to be biased after one negative experience. It was also on the rlly cheap side as it was only $4.90 even with a special cone. I've always loved this location. They have a number of delicious interesting flavours. With me being dairy free, it was amazing to see they have a few (not to many) vegan flavours which is so wonderful. I hope they can bring in more! read more

I used to like this place but wow it is the worse place ever because one time I came at 9 and they closed the door and said we are closing but it said they close at 10 and this time when I went at 5:30 and was trying to get my ice cream and there was other people too and the employee said IM closing right now and I'm not gonna be making any ice cream and made everyone left and then we tried to buy a ice cream cake cause it was already made and when the employee was saying how much I owe she was having a mental breakdown and crying so we just bought us and left but overall I'm never going back and I think they need to close this place too. read more

had an absolutely awful experience, not only do the employees treat you like a burden but they closed the stone at 915 when they close at 10, so they can't do any mix ins. Wooooweeee is it sweet. What I like about this place is the selection of ice cream and the fixings. Had a medium size serving of dark chocolate ice cream with oreos, almond thins, m&ms, and coconut flakes. You can make whatever up you like. Great. Their ice cream lean to the creamy side unlike Ernest which leans to the slushy side. Each to their own. I prefer creamy. If I want slushy, I will get a Slurpee. This occasion, my concoction was a tad bit too sweet. But no fault to Marble Slab. Overall a great treat and great service. Came out to 7$ ish. About the same price as a bubble tea with 1/2 cup of ice from Xing Fu Tang. This, IMO, is WORTH it. read more

I was disappointed at this ice cream store. Not only was the ice cream mediocre but the employee's acted like they couldn't care less about their clients. The worst part was that the store didn't have a single recycling can! (but the ice cream came in paper cups) I was appalled at the fact that the store only had plastic spoons even though other local stores (with better ice cream) use wooden spoons. In 2023 the store can't even bother to do the minimal for the earth, yet they have all this signage promoting their "earth friendly" dairy products. I really should have axed the snickers (I'm not the biggest fan of them) but I did add cookie dough and raspberries (on top). For the price paid, portion received and service, this gets my vote, but overall ice cream quality is were it loses some points. read more

The owner of Marble Slab is a really nice man and very accommodating and I am happy that they carry vegan options and the vegan cakes to me are delicious. The thing is a couple of the teens that work here aren't the friendliest and don't have very good customer service skills. When I had a question and called this one girl kept saying "buh bye" to get me off the phone, and when I came in today I asked if they had any vegan options in the pint size and she just said "We don't carry that." No "sorry anything else I can do for you" and I don't understand how hard it would be to put some vegan ice cream in a pint, it's also not very thoughtful for people who are lactose intolerant. I understand when it is very busy hours and there is a line for ice cream but I feel like they could have done something to accommodate me. I feel like they could fill a few tubs with vegan ice cream when they are not very busy and stock them in the freezer. There are a couple of kids that work here that are friendly though, one is this boy I think his name is David and this younger girl that could be the owner's daughter. The rest of the staff leave little to be desired. The pace of the service can lag sometimes too. read more

It turned out to be a horrible decision as the portions were much smaller than regular and the toppings were also added frugally. We're very fond of the ice cream at Marble Slab and love what they have to offer but this location is certainly below standards. read more

The service here was ridiculously slow, in spite of the giant line outside because of the 4 customer limit due to COVID. I can forgive being slow, but people preparing food should be wearing masks, which they weren't. Nonexistent customer service and small variety of ice cream. First and last time visiting this place.

I discover this Marble Slab in a desperate late night craving for brownie with ice cream. It is on Lougheed Hwy, one block away from the Coquitlam Centre. The place is pretty small so do not expect to hang out there for too long. I walked in and there was a big line up, (my thought was: "it may be pretty good!") so I waited, finally got to order and because of the fixation in my head for that brownie, that was all I asked for! I had two choices of ice cream with my brownie, so I picked Swiss chocolate (rich and creamy) and vanilla. They topped it up with whipped cream, hot chocolate fudge (they also have caramel) and a maraschino cherry. The cost of satisfying my craving was less than $7 and it was SO worth it!!!. I couldn't really tell the specifics of everything in that little cup but I can definitely tell you that the combination of flavors still makes my mouth water. They had different options for ice cream milkshakes, ice cream cakes and a whole bunch of other treats that I must go and try sometime soon. For satisfying my craving so well, for the good service and for the location, I give Marble Slab Creamery Coquitlam 4 stars!. read more

Good ice cream, TERRIBLE customer service by management. I would generally frequent the Denman St location but after a move, the Pinetree Village location was much closer. I went in today to redeem a free ice cream stamp card thing and was told by one of the salespeople (who was very pleasant) that they couldn't accept it. I asked to speak to a manager and a lady came out and said the same thing. She wasn't rude but I wouldn't call her polite either. She was very blunt and didn't seem like she enjoyed interacting with customers all that much. The manager said that because the stamps weren't on the same card and especially because the stamps were from a different location, that she couldn't honour it or do anything about it. She said that since they were franchised locations and all had different owners, they couldn't allow someone to get stamps from one location and redeem at this one and that this is a company wide policy implemented by the corporate office. No where on the cards is there an expiry date or anything that says this. After asking to speak to someone above her, she gave me the corporate 1-888 number and I asked for her name as well, which I believe was Paul...or Paula, but I'm pretty sure it just said Paul. While I understand that it's a franchise and from a business standpoint, it makes no sense to give someone something for free when they've bought nothing, it needs to state this on the card itself. This manager also stated that the Denman location won't even accept or acknowledge cards and stamps from the Pinetree Village location to which the salesgirl/cashier was like WHAT?! I left a message with the corporate office at the number they mentioned so I may edit this review if and/or when they call me back. read more

Well i gotta tell ya this place is kick ass, its like tossing midgets into a chocolate river (if that's your kinda thing). I have been there a few times now and it is just plain awesome. Combination ice creams made to your desire. I believe my last ice cream was pumpkin flavor with marshmallows and sprinkles. DING!!!!!!!! worked for me, basically chose your flavor and your filler and your topping what you would like it in and how many scoops. Easy right ... they then take your order throw it on a frozen piece of marble and knead it together until its mixed to perfection. I ordered the brownie one and it was "sold out", so i asked for a sunday instead. I picked one of the ice creams in the cooler, but noticed it was plain. I asked for the toppings shown in the picture of the ice cream on the cooler. They said sorry, no toppings on the sunday other than peanuts whipped cream and cherry. Standing there confused I said fine. At this point I just want to walk out, why can't I have toppings on a sunday? What kind of gourmet ice creamery says to a customer they can't chose from their abundant toppings to put on their sunday? Maybe I just ordered some budget item that has no options. Slowest service ive ever encountered!! One person in front of me still waited 10mins. Not the first time either! Sure the ice cream is amazing....price is not cheap, but it is good.
