Snowy village is my go to place for bingsoo!! I've tried so many bingsoo desserts in vancouver, and snowy village is one of my top favorites. I always go for injeolmi when I'm feeling something light and chewy, matcha when I'm craving something more flavorful, and strawberry when I want something fruity. The texture of the ice is perfect and shaved so finely and even has a creamy texture when you make the ice compact (if that makes any sense). They fill the inside with toppings as well, so it's not just the top that has toppings. I also love the crossiont taiyaki, as the outside is always perfectly crisp with a nice filling. It's usually pretty busy after lunch and dinner, but there are plenty of tables, so usually there is no wait. The service is good and very clean too! I recommend trying the Injeolmi, matcha, or strawberry bingsoo when you're craving a cold dessert!

Had Watermelon Bingsoo for dessert with friends after our dinner and it was very good. The milky shaved ice is perfect. It's not bland and not too sweet. The presentation was very appealing and really nice in pictures. The place was not busy maybe due to cold weather. Will definitely try other flavors next time.

Their bingsoo comes in a variety of flavors and sizes. The regular sizes are $10-11 and large sizes are $12-15. They also have seasonal flavors and yogurt ice for $15+. We decided to go with a regular matcha bingsoo. It came with matcha cake pieces, rice cakes, almond slices, matcha powder, red bean paste, and condensed milk. Things started going wrong when we started scooping the bingsoo into our individual bowls because it initiated a landslide of toppings from the middle. The cake pieces and rice cakes were falling off left right and center! The shaved ice was a flaky version of ice cream that resembled powdered snow. Even though everything was dusted with matcha powder, it wasn't bitter. At first it was creamy and enjoyable but as we got towards the end, it became too sweet from the condensed milk drizzled between the layers. Not sure if we would get this again but it was pretty tasty!

I keep coming back because of the quality of this place is not even close to lacking. Friendly atmosphere and great shaved ice. They make sure to include enough fresh fruit in the fruit bingsoos and overall won't skip out of the ingredients. P.S all the photos were from different times... meaning I went back and kept taking photos

Expresso Milk Bingsoo Review: This review may be a bit tmi so I'm sorry Well my friends and I went for korean food (look at previous post) then we decided it would be really coolio if we went for bingsoo after. Turns out... that wasn't a really smart choice cuz I fr threw up on the escalator coming down from the skytrain and my friends threw up in the church bathroom so uh The bingsoo was super pretty. I'll give it that. Literally aesthetic 101. I don't know if it's the bingsoo THERE (Coquitlam location) but last time we went for watermelon bingsoo 2/3 of us felt super sick after too. The thing is last time we ate poke so I thought it may be the combination of raw fish with cold food but this time all the food we ate was fully cooked... I don't really think I will ever come here again for their bingsoo again. To give this place the benefit of the doubt, it may be because we ate before so I would give it too too low of a rating. Rating: 3.5/10

I found the Robson location to be more organized and cleaner than this one. This location just felt chaotic when it was super busy. If there is a line up, make sure you put your name down on the clipboard or else other people will jump the queue. Also, the estimated wait time is inaccurate because it is hard to predict when customers leave after they are done eating. Once you are seated, you place your order at the cash register and the staff will ask where about you are seated. The server will call out your order number when you dessert is ready. They should upgrade to a mic system of some sort. I felt bad for the server calling out people's names and order numbers. I can only imagine how sore her throat is after a shift. The mango bingsoo is very good. I really enjoy the shaved milky ice and mango pieces.

    Mango bingsoo ($10)

Relatively new to Coquitlam, this is one of my new favourite dessert places. I brought my co-workers here for dessert after dinner and after six there's free parking right in front! We ordered two bingsoo to share and it was a good amount for all of us to be satisfied. We ordered a mango bingsoo ($10) and Oreo bingsoo ($8) in regular size. The staff were very friendly and helpful, showing me the two sizes and offered to let me bring it over to my co-workers to discuss what size we wanted! It was ready in about 10 minutes. We started on the mango bingsoo. The mango was sweet and not overpowering the light bingsoo. Everyone made a similar comment of how light and not too sweet it was. Lots of nods of approval. They gave us small bowls and spoons to share. Then we moved onto the Oreo one which was a bit sweeter and less of a flavour and texture contrast than the mango. It was good nonetheless! We shared two bingsoo between five people and felt it was a good amount. After we sat around and chatted for a while, they were thoughtful and asked if we needed water too! A nice, quaint, and brightly lit dessert place :)

A large mango bingsoo -- definitely not as pretty to-go as eat-in...

Came here Saturday evening around 10pm. Our party of 10 got told it would be a 30-minute wait (which turned out to be quite untrue -- at least 3 tables cleared within 15min), so we decided to order to go and eat at a friend's apartment upstairs. That turned out to be a terrible decision because (1) they don't have anything regular-sized to go, so my friend with whom I was splitting had to "upgrade" for $4; and (2) the bingsoo wasn't nearly as nice in a to-go container (where was my whipped cream??!!). So that brought the place down to 2.5-3 stars, regardless of what the thing tastes like... But what made things worse was that one of my friends ordered a green tea and got a mango order instead...... There was no way to verify her order because no receipt was given (just a number), and the lady didn't seem like she was about to offer a replacement. My friend was extremely bummed out but didn't want to make an issue of it. So that's down to 1.5-2 stars. The 10 of us ended up with 3 large mango bingsoos... which tasted ok, but it sure would've been nice to be able to try at least 1 other flavour!

    Injeolmi bingsu

Place was quite busy when we came on the Monday of New Years long weekend in the afternoon. Luckily the turnover is quick. We ordered the injeolmi bingsu to share. The regular size is quite large in itself. We also ordered the 3 for $10 taiyaki which we intended to take leftovers home. The injeolmi was quite good and the shaved ice itself is refreshing. I would want to try the green tea and the mango as well though the mango isn't available until later in January. As for the taiyaki, we had the red bean injeolmi, Nutella and sweet potato. I heard that the custard is the sweetest of the options so your choice might depend on how big your sweet tooth is! The Nutella was my favorite. The others were not for me. You Can also order to go and they give you these spacey looking bags to keep everything cool For your trip. Otherwise if you stay, look forward to some k-pop and a room full of loud teenagers !

Order their mango bingsoo and it was great! Lots of mango on top and inside the bingsoo. And it was nice how the restaurant was toasty and warm inside which makes you enjoy the bingsoo even more during your winter bingsoo craving season.

Mango shaved ice and 3 fish cakes of different flavor shared between three people after dinner. The fish cakes were not too sweet and went well with the shaved ice. First time here, I would definitely come back :)

The Oreo one absolutely could be shared with your partner. That is really huge finishing.

*This is my first experience trying shaved ice* I really enjoyed my food. I could have lived without the cheese toast and fruit flies. Service was good and my favourite with the matcha. It is opened late when I went out with gfs. I would def recommend taking my kids here. Living in Port Moody, we don't have a lot of the great Asian places like coquitlam centre does

The donut itself is soft and fluffy, the filling is nice and creamy, and the crackly caramelized sugar on top gives you that classic crème brûlée experience. It's good, but for me, it wasn't quite the type of donut that all the hype made it out to be. The other flavours were enjoyable; I do wish they were a little more innovative. It feels like there's room to be a bit more creative with the menu. One other thing was how quickly they "sell out." Maybe they genuinely do, but it almost feels like they simply make a very limited quantity each day to create that sense of demand. The location also doesn't do them any favours. Parking is difficult, it's right along a busy road, and it's not exactly the kind of place you casually stop at. Overall, the donuts are good quality, especially the crème brûlée, but I personally don't think they're worth going out of your way for.

We were pleasantly surprised that they offer guests access to their full drink menu including their specials. Ube matcha was good, but had a hint of cinnamon which we could have gone without. The matcha mango was also good. The blackberry lavender matcha was too floral for our liking. However, eventually you get used to it and then it becomes more enjoyable. The pandesals were super fresh and we loved both the ube and strawberry butters that came with it. I wish that they came a bit warmer, so that the butters could have melted a touch. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 sandwiches. I especially loved the arugula on the mozerella sandwich. The blackberry brie sandwich could have used a touch more brie, but was still delicious. The cheesecakes were good, but a bit too sweet. The strawberry was my favorite. I enjoyed tasting multiple flavors. Their red velvet cupcake was extremely moist. The pistachio malasada was cute and flavorful. The filling to pastry ratio was good. I think that the experience could have been better balanced if there were a few more savory items. One thing that we noticed was that all of the pastries including the malasada were cold. I can understand that there are some food safe requirements that need to be met in how desserts are stored.
