We stopped by Marble Slab Creamery around 9:30pm and it was such a disappointment. No greeting when we walked in, and one of the employees even turned to her coworker and said, "It's time for me to quit." Extremely unprofessional. When we ordered just one ice cream cup, the attitude continued--sassy and unwelcoming. The ice cream itself was just MID but the service was the real dealbreaker. With so many better ice cream spots in Houston, this definitely isn't one I'd return to. read more

Local creameries have been a good, growing chain around my place for a few years. This one happens to be right next to the movie theatre and a good place to go for dessert if you wanted. I dropped in after a movie one day and boy I was impressed with what I experienced. You walk in and it's not a very big restaurant, but that doesn't really matter here. You have several flavors of ice cream or yogurt that you can mix in with others. I usually get two so I can see how great it is. I had strawberry and cookie dough. Then you put as many toppings as you want on it. They mix it up and boy it is fun to watch. You can enjoy your nice ice cream or yogurt with your toppings and see what delicious flavors they have to offer. So if you're coming from a movie or just passing through looking for dessert, why not stop by? On a normal night I would give this location a 4 however, tonight was not that night and we come here very frequently. The employees on staff tonight acted as though we were bothering them....well clearly we probably were given the delay to put their phones down and stop watching videos. It was then proceeded by customer service of a angry zombie like character and then LOTS of loud banging afterwards as he was cleaning up. Oh wait he just turned his phone back on again. To rate the customer service and willingness to do their jobs as a "one star" is my way of being generous. One associate in particular, Monica, gave new meaning to the phrase "everyone isn't fit to work with people" after a particularly rude interaction with a customer last night. The customer ordered via Uber Eats, called to let the shop know that her ice cream was made incorrectly, and even came up to the shop to get the order corrected as a way to deal with the problem politely despite Monica's lack of care. Once the customer arrived to get her order fixed, Monica rudely informed her that she wouldn't fix anything. When the customer asked her name, she refused to give it to her several times until another associate stepped in. She also didn't want to give her manager's name. The customer was quite calm and didn't deserve the ridiculous treatment that she received over as how Monica put it, "just one topping". If her service is a reflection of how Marble Slab Creamery operates as a company, I will never visit their stores again. No customer deserves to be treated like trash. read more

If I could give no stars I would!! I came in here with my family just wanting to get some ice cream for my children, I was standing at the counter so my kids could pick which ice cream they wanted and my husband walked in carrying out baby, and one of the employees said in Spanish, damn the baby is gonna eat some too!?!? Of course she thought I didn't understand her, but I let it go and continued to order my son ordered his flavor and another employee rudely asked him what size, I said regular! Then after my son ordered the guy employee rudely kind of yelling voice asked do y'all want anything else. He said it very aggressively so I just told them all if they don't want to serve us that is all they had to say, all three of the employees seemed aggravated and unwilling to provide service. If they weren't able to serve me that is all they had to say and I would have left no questions asked!!!! I would not recommend this location to anyone!!! I know you guys don't really care about losing a customer, but maybe try and teach the employees better customer service so that other customers don't feel this way! read more

We arrived at 9:03pm - people still inside eating ice cream and open sign still on after checking their hours on Google (which stated they were open til 9:30pm). They were cleaning but if you close in 30 mins that's still plenty of time to make 1 more ice cream. Walked in and asked if they were still open and the tall, skinny girl with glasses and a bun said in a cold voice "we closed at 9" . I responded in a flat tone "y'all should update your hours on Google bc it says you close at 930". She just glared, the other guy behind counter just stared blankly. My boyfriend who was with me made a comment about the girl's posture/stance/expression and the other guy behind the counter laughing as I walked back to the car with. I'm not giving them a pass bc they looked young. Customer service is customer service and that could've been handled much better even without being served. Although we live less than 5 mins away we will NOT be back. We made the drive to Brusters on louetta where they are open till 10pm, always super nice, and delicious ice cream without ice chips. read more
