Peanut butter Excellent peanut butter. Banana Love the pieces of banana in the ice cream. Double dark chocolate Rich chocolate and smooth. All of the flavors were great. The scoops for the price is not worth it...extremely small. Also the freezer for the ice cream seems to be set on soft serve because it melted and was dripping before I could finish paying. Hot fudge was in a squeeze bottle so not hot, which was odd for my sundae cup. ‍ For it being the only joint open late it served it's purpose.

Small stuffed cool mint milkshake - hot fudge and some sort of white sauce on the sides - yum!

I came here for a milkshake one afternoon, specifically for the stuffed cool mint milkshake posted on their doorway that looked amazing, and it was yummy (as it should be for an $8+ milkshake)! Two of us shared the small, which was a good amount of ice cream to keep us going until dinnertime but not enough to ruin our appetites. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful since I didn't see the milkshake on the menu and just said I wanted the cool mint milkshake posted on the door.

The ice cream was so good I went twice! I got the double dark chocolate and banana with a lot of chocolatey mix ins and it was DELICIOUS!

Enjoying some ice cream on the river!

The "slabs" were broken and things were a bit disorganized, but ice cream is ice cream and Marvle Slab is always delicious

If I was basing this review on customer service, it would be 2 stars, but the milkshake we got was pretty yummy, so I added a star back. The location is small - located next to the exit of the mall attached to River Walk and next to a Ghiradelli's, which should make them work harder to make money. We walked in on Thursday afternoon and it was empty. Ghiradelli has a line out the door. The advertisement for the mystical milkshake brought us in the door. We ordered the peanut butter one. It was expensive - $14+change. The girl who helped us was nice enough, but didn't engage in any small talk. The other girl working, however, was rude as heck! Two (kind of drunk-ish) women walked in after us and this employee was so rude to them. If she had treated us that way, I would have walked out. The milkshake itself is so ridiculous you have to buy it at least once in your life. Chocolate ice cream with peanut butter mix in. Lots of candy & chocolate syrup & whipped cream. We were unable to finish between the 2 of us.

This shop sells fudge, truffles, candied apples, and - what I came for - ice cream! They had a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from, a least a couple dozen. The smiling young woman working behind the ice cream counter offered to give tastes, but I had already figured out which flavors I wanted. I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat while visiting the Alamo, you'll find this to be the perfect place to visit.

A second one because the pistachio was great. What I like most about this location specifically is where it's located because if you're on a lunch break or you just had dinner, you're just out for a walk. There's no wrong time to enjoy quality ice cream especially in San Antonio. Given that it's broiling hot 75% of the year. I had a great experience in the quaint ice cream parlor if you can still call it that it's definitely the kind of place. You should stop in to see what kind of flavors they have for sampling or in my case literally enjoy it ice cream so good. You can't help it have it twice

My vote for best ice cream in San Antonio? Lick Honest Ice Cream!…read more This location is inconspicuously tucked away in the Hemisfair District, in a tiny, cute building on a corner. There is no seating inside but a couple of tables sit outside. I think I counted 16 unique flavors when I visited. The cordial woman doing the scooping kindly offered tastes but my ice cream radar had already zeroed in on my choices. I chose chocolate orange and caramel salt lick. In a cup. I took a seat outside and was in heaven. Both scoops were so creamy and had bold flavor. The caramel salt lick perfectly describes it - salty caramel flavor. Have you ever had those chocolate oranges that seem to appear on store shelves around Christmas time? That's exactly how the chocolate orange ice cream tastes. But better. They have a couple of locations around San Antonio and I urge you to find one; you'll love their ice cream.

Not only that, but the food operators were not small businesses but operated by the organization or company running the festival. Nothing unique about them or their offerings imho. I found this cute little creamery on Yelp while I was stuck in a crowd of people trying to navigate down the plaza. It wasn't awfully busy & I was able to pop in to sample a few flavors & walk out with a 3 scoop cup in under 5 mins. I'm trying to remember what the flavor I chose was specifically, but I want to say it was goat cheese & honey? It was fantastic whatever it was & it hit the spot on a particularly warm evening. The staff were very friendly & working hard on probably one of the busiest nights of the year. The ice cream was great & consistency between homemade ice cream & frozen custard. A little sticky but still with that yummy grainy texture of homemade & you can tell they are using good ingredients too.

I got taro, lavender, and chocolate Oreo, and they were all so delicious and creamy. The portions were generous, and the price felt very fair for what you get. (They have a flight!!!) I also love the local, small, family-owned business vibe. The owners were very friendly, which made the experience even better. My only wish is that they stayed open later on Sundays. Right now, they close at 3 PM, and I would love to be able to stop by for ice cream on my way back to Austin in the late afternoon.
