Got an eggplant parm hero to go. It was great! Fresh and hot, on a thick house-made roll, and you can taste the care they put into the sauce. The place is in a small corner strip mall with 2 other great eateries, Tony's Mexican and Gourmet Palace Chinese, making this a great corner sure to please any appetite. This place has really let me down now twice in a row. I've been coming in here regularly and the food was great. But since they changed to Danny's they are repeatedly sending me out the door with my baked ziti and no fork no napkin... How can you eat baked ziti with no fork and no napkin... I have been looking forward to it all day. But I wanted to give them a second chance and I explained to them my disappointment so I ordered baked ziti again and they assured me, fork was in the bag that they had tied in a knot so I could not verify, but I trusted them... Big mistake. I want to keep my local businesses alive and thriving but now they're just being cruel. Every dish I've ordered from here has been great. My two favorites were the eggplant pasta bake and the chicken marsala. Portions are pretty big and enough for two meals. They always serve garlic bread with the entrees and that's hit or miss but that's probably because I've only used Postmates and the bread doesn't travel well. Postmates also requires you to choose a protein for an additional fee, so even if you don't want any meat, you have to choose something to bypass the step. I don't believe this to be the restaurant's fault - but worth noting if you're getting this delivered. read more

My wife and I were going to the Hollywood Bowl and needed a quick picnic type dinner. We went off menu and requested a chicken cutlet hero with oil/vinegar lettuce and tomatoes. I also ordered the bruschetta because WTH. The bus ride down produced the most amazing aroma which was also commented on when people passed us on the hill in the venue. Garlic and fresh tomatoes rang out with awesome garlic rounds. Coupled with a delicate white wine the chicken sandwich was refreshing and delicious. There's nothing fancy about this little hole in the wall spot, but the moment you walk in to the restaurant, the delicious smell hooks you right in!! They have many salads and amazing pastas (tried my friend's shrimp Alfredo, and it was divine ) and chicken wings and lots and lots of pizza! Whether you like thick crust, or thin crust, gluten-free or vegan pizza they have it all! I ordered two slices of thin crust, extra crispy with mushroom sausage, and a little extra cheese. I wanted more. It was so delicious.!!!! This place is perfectly nostalgic of a little pizzeria in New York City and the guys that work there are fantastic!!! Super friendly, and fast service - could not have been nicer!! Located a little strip plaza at the corner of Coldwater Canyon in Magnolia Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. Love this hidden gem of a place. every time we order on DoorDash, they never screw up. They're always super friendly and accommodating. Their Alfredo is so good!!!! Full of flavor and not oily! it's super hard to find a good Alfredo sauce now a days..... My kids also like their Caesar salad with the crispy chicken in it and they're super picky eaters. Their spaghetti and meatballs and spaghetti and meat sauce are very good as well. Their garlic bread and mozzarella sticks are also very good. The quality has been very consistent. I love this place hands down some of the best Italian food to try in the valley. The chicken picatta and marsala are a must. For pizza any will do since the crust is NY thin , you know it's good when you can eat it cold. They make their bread in house as well the dough and chicken tenders! The food is delicious and the portions are large. They serve more garlic knots than other places and the marinara sauce is addicting. I have only ordered food here through door dash. The food is handled carefully and nothing is ever missing. I have only tried the chicken Parmesan dinner plate, spaghetti and meatballs and the garlic knots here. Would have been nice to get a text or email message when food was ready but their ETA was fairly accurate as the confirmation on the website just said ready in 30 minutes. The customer service at this restaurant was very nice and explained to me that it happens to them all the time several times a week, where third-party delivery food services takes the food without delivering to customers. Used to order from them many years ago, and food was always decent. Ordered chicken piccata though and even though the servings were plentiful and the chicken tender, the sauce over the chicken and pasta was WAAAAY heavier than it should have been. Too heavy on garlic (I love garlic but this was extreme OVERKILL) and oil and cheese. The sauce was almost as thick as an alfredo. It was tasty, but TOO tasty. I've made many many chicken piccatas in my day, and they have always been much more delicately flavored than this. Neither of us wants to order this dish from them again. read more

This place - a review is so complicated because boy is their food good going down. I was telling people this is the best pizza in LA for awhile. And it kind of is but...or should I say BUTT... ...every time me and my friends order here we get the bloated bubble guts and the runs the next day. And we all have different genetics so it's not like we have the same food allergy. 1. Order took an hour and 20 min to arrive. I ordered at 1:30 in the afternoon. On a Monday. 2. Calzone was burnt. Bottom was black, top was hard. Couldn't even cut it bc it was so overdone and when I tried, all the toppings squished out of the sides. 3. Onions ALL up in my food. I dislike onions a great deal, and certainly didn't order them. Even after picking the ones I could see out, I could taste and smell them. Also a large amount of sun-dried tomatoes, which I guess could have some from a sauce, and wasn't that bigga deal, but I didn't see any remnants of any sauce on the calzone and I didn't order tomatoes. This, beyond all others, is the reason I would not go back. 4. Zucchini sticks. Blah. No flavor. Squishy and falling apart. 5. I asked for an extra ranch and received a container approximately the size of the head of my fork. The ranch wasn't very good, anyway. 6. Calzone, on top of being burnt, was super thin. Not warm and soft like I'd hoped. This was like cardboard. 7. The only good thing about the place was the friendliness of the delivery guy.
