    7 in pizza

We stopped in for a late lunch while passing through. We were a little concerned looking at the outside but once in the doors everything was great. There as amazing memorabilia everywhere. If you get a chance to visit make sure to take some time and look around. We ordered small (we thought) ..... To accompany my half order of lasagne I decided to take a chance and tried the creamy mushroom soup. It was delicious. My wife got a small (7 in) pizza and the Cesear salad (which was hugh, we both ate some and didn't finish it all). The entrees were large, hot, and made with fresh ingredients. We shared both and were stuffed. The staff was friendly and laughed at my lame jokes. My only complaint is that they don't have sweet tea, but the raspberry tea was good. Can't wait to come back.

    Pepperoni Pizza!!!

    O. M. G. I know I can be a cynic and hard on places. Marcella's blew my mind. My wife use to live in this area and while we were driving though she said we should stop for lunch I'm so glad we did!!! It's a joke in the was, BUT NOT A DIVE!!! Quite the opposite! Ver upscale! Feels like a Chicago pizza row in the heart of small town! It's aviation themed and every spot has something unique. The walls to the ceiling are decorated. My honest favorite part... the music play list! Had some modern but followed with Frank and the boys!!! We got in early and I'm glad we did because they were filled shortly after opening. Even being busy, the staff kept up with our drinks and the pizza was to die for! They bring you a couple of their famous garlic rolls to start. I enjoy garlic and they did not leave you hanging! I almost wish there was something inside the rolls or on top? Maybe some parmesan cheese? I don't know. Either way! Amazing! The pizza was great and the sauce tastes homemade! Kind of sweet but man was it good!! (I love sweet sauces!)

Chicagostyle Deep Dish Pizza and a Garlic Roll

We are blessed to have such high quality in Wheatfield, Indiana. They have the best Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza this side of Chicago! Also thier garlic rolls are to die for and they are vegan too! Great choice when my out of town (vegan) guests are looking for a nice place to pick up dinner.

The focaccia and the pastas we got were a 10/10. It just all tastes so fresh and like a home cooked meal. We got the focaccia appetizer, the spaghetti, tagliatelle and I got a Negroni sbagliato and my boyfriend had a NA beer. All was great and we had a very nice dinner here.

We expected the focaccia to come out before the pastas or during but alas no bread. We waited a little bit before dining in to give them extra time and even asked twice. We were told it was coming. Our pastas were finished and now we were waiting for our desert. Other patrons who arrived later than us started to receive their orders and deserts while we were left forgotten. I went inside to see what was going on and pretty much asked if we could have it to go as our baby was beginning to get restless. The front desk misunderstood me and almost charged me again. It probably took about another 15 minutes before we got our items and were able to leave. Food is good but service needs work. Limited street parking in front. Dog friendly patio.

You can tell they freshly make with love, I was lucky to have passed by as they were opening. The menu changes daily, ensure you ask questions if you're not familiar with pasta to get the best experience. I ordered the Lumache plate. It had Lumache noodles, L.G.B.T. (Lemon, garlic, basil, tomato) Sausage, Brasicas. The pasta was perfectly soft & the sausage seasoned lightly allowing the dish to remain light. This would pair well with a Chardonnay to offset. Desert was a tiramisu treat, soft coffee moose was perfect and stuffed with more fluffy cream. Small dining area and they get busy quick but it'll be worth any wait!

The truffle pasta is I think one of their staples because I have gotten it twice now and it's just so good. Perfect mix of truffle, buttery sauce, and pasta cooked to perfection. We've also gotten a carrot dish with a delicious miso sauce. Stuffed pasta with a red sauce. A cacio e pepe sauce with our noodle shape of choice. Everything feels so fresh and you can see the chef cooking in the kitchen! the pasta honestly does remind me of pasta dishes you would get in italy. The space itself is very small. There are about 5 tables where 4 people can sit at each one. The service is quick and the chef himself is fantastic!

Unfortunately, that perfect evening didn't just take a turn... it drove straight off a cliff. Seven of us ordered appetizers and full meals, and everything hit the table looking and tasting great--except for one unfortunate burger that was so thoroughly charred it could've doubled as a hockey puck. Our friend tried to power through it (because who wants to complain?), but eventually realized it just wasn't edible. They politely asked if it could be remade or replaced. Simple enough, right? Wrong. About 20 minutes later--after everyone else had finished eating--we weren't met with a replacement, but with what I can only assume was the owner, who approached with an accusatory tone that immediately made the entire table uncomfortable. Instead of resolving the issue quietly, she marched back from the kitchen holding the same burnt burger and presented it like courtroom evidence, as if we were on trial for daring to send it back. At that point, we were all sitting there in disbelief. Was this really happening? Then came the comment: essentially suggesting that next time, we should say something before eating most of it--despite the fact that our group had spent plenty on food and drinks and clearly wasn't angling for a free burger. The implication alone was enough to sour the entire experience. To "fix" things, she offered to comp the burger (which we had already declined) and, as we were leaving, handed over a $20 gift card--as if that could somehow erase the awkwardness, embarrassment, and frankly rude treatment we had just experienced. It couldn't. What should have been a minor kitchen mistake turned into a bizarre and uncomfortable scene, all because of how it was handled. Mistakes happen--burnt burgers happen--but treating paying customers like they're trying to pull one over on you? That's a choice. It's a real shame, because the night had been so enjoyable up until that moment. But after witnessing that level of unprofessional and unpleasant behavior, it's hard to imagine returning. Do better. Seriously.
