Tried this place after 9 holes at dairy creek and saw that they had fish tacos. I've been looking for the best on the central coast and haven't found any real good ones until now. Great service, quick service and just a chill place to eat and grab a drink. Marcerro spicy tacos- honestly some of the best I've had around the area. Most places do not season the batter and the fish so usually it's bland and over slawed. These had a great balance of sauce, slaw and fish. The fish was seasoned well and the bite was great all together. The mango, for me, actually didn't do much and honestly confused my palate a little. If the tacos had been spicier then maybe it would've worked but it just felt unnecessary. Not the best fish tacos I've ever had but very good and might be the best I've tried on the central coast. I'll definitely come back again to try some of their other food. side note-my friend got the garlic parmesan? wings and they were full of flavor as well and cooked perfectly. I was so excited when this restaurant was announced . 5 star cocktails (if there is staff) . The appetizers we had were extraordinarily salty. This was mid afternoon. We returned with visitors at 7 pm a couple weeks later for dinner. The restaurant was empty and we were informed that there were two staff and one was in the kitchen and there was a 1/2 hour to 45 minute wait time for food. The bartender was also backed up. They were serving the people hitting balls I guess with no one for the restaurant. Definitely won't return and don't recommend even though the location and ambiance could be amazing if the food and service were decent. Dining out these days is expensive and I'm going where things are worth it. That isn't Marcerro. read more

When I came in on Mother's Day, it was like a ghost town. No one there at the counter. All the staff just walked past me and the counters. I had to flag down someone to get their attention. And when I did, the waiter was very unhelpful, unfriendly. I reserved a table ahead of time, and he scanned through his system and said he has nothing. I even talked to him on the phone ahead of time, but he didn't seem to remember. He told me to just wait with no other explanation. There was another lady standing next to me, complaining to him they had finished golfing and never received their food and would like their food so they could leave. I mean, what are they doing especially when the place is a ghost town? We left in a heartbeat and will be filling our stomachs elsewhere. They also have a bunch of wasp/hornet nests under their roof near the entrance by the restrooms. Not well kept. read more

We attended a yelp event hosted by the wonderful Alex!! Our presence was honored with a free beverage, and a very well put together menu by the chef! The views were impeccable!! Each head of staff introduced themselves and gave us information on the premises and all the neat things that SLO county residents and outside tourists can look forward to such as introducing glamping!! How fun!!! We were all welcomed very warmly and invited back for future tours. I thought that the chef and his team did a very stellar job!! We were introduced with a delicious, fresh salad... Followed by tuna tar tar tacos which you would absolutely be left to crave so much more... just... YUM... and as good as the menu was this far, it just continued to get better!! Following that was a slider that was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The final dish was called "Duck Confit Pappardelle" - a scrumptious, large bowl of warm pasta with duck confit, sage cream sauce, mushrooms, and ripe tomatoes. The buildup to the remainder of dinner left us very happy and satisfied!! Finally for the cherry on top... A creamy rich dessert of cheesecake made from scratch topped with light, fluffy whip as the plate held a drizzled, golden Carmel sauce. What made me really appreciate the menu was not just the bountiful flavors, but chef's experience! He's traveled all over including Asia to learn what he knows! What an honor for us!! We were treated wonderfully. I felt like this was such a captivating VIP delivery in hospitality!! Elite yelpers came away with our +1 guest holding a nice yelp gift bag!! Being a Yelp elite is a privilege that we all agreed to over dinner...we don't take it lightly. It is fun but we also believe in giving true, honest feedback in the community and our travels. Came during slo restaurant month! Such a hidden gem, located on a golf resort. Plenty of parking spots. Came here on a Monday night; friendly staff and amazing service. Steven was our waiter and he was great. He recommended great cocktails and checked on us throughout! He even made a special dessert cocktail for my friend's bday dinner. I got their jade garden which is a gin elderflower cocktail; so refreshing and delicious. We got the steak frites, tuna tartare taco, and the black kale garlic Caesar salad. The salad was by far my favorite. The croutons just melted in your mouth and the dressing was so good. Probably one of my favorite salads. The taco was so crispy and the filling was super fresh. The steak was a little overcooked and more chewy but overall still super good. For dessert we got their basque cheesecake. It wasn't too sweet. Loved it. Visited for the first time and wow! The vibes, service, and food were top notch. I had a crisp glass of sauvignon blanc and a side of their fries and this was a perfect girl breakfast. The fries were perfectly crispy while still being fluffy and tender inside. I liked the black garlic aioli that came with it, but a side of ketchup is still essential. My friend got the plum and burrata plate which was also delicious. Our time at the driving range started and we were able to finish enjoying our food and drink at our bay. Our server was so amazing and friendly, definitely poured me a generous second glass. Don't miss coming to Dairy Creek for the golf but Marcerro is a must visit for the food! read more

Let me break it down... Ambiance: Obsessed with the new decor--seriously changed the whole vibe in the best way. Service: Our guy was clearly holding it down solo, but you'd never know it. Super welcoming and popped in right when we needed him. Hidden gem energy for sure. Food: This is where they won my business. The whipped feta with honey? Unreal. The burrata and cheese plate? Next level. My wife and I split the burger and it came out perfectly cooked! Bottom line: Don't sleep on this place. Free parking, gorgeous view, and you can even hit Swing Time while you're there. great food and service! The changes they are making are great! It's like a completely new place

This is one of our favorite places to go - especially after a round at Dairy Creek golf course. They have a good sized menu and it's very reasonably priced. We love the crispy chicken wings and organic asada fries. But our favorite things are their specialty cocktails. We were looking forward to trying this restaurants based on seeing insta ads and reading the PR info. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match the hype. We went for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Food - first the good - the French fries that came with the Fish and Chips, were great! But the fish was not good. One piece was cold inside and one was frozen. To their credit, that meal was not charged. We also ordered the Cobb Salad. The avocado ranch dressing was very good but Some of the lettuce was brown, wilted and soggy and the shrimp was warm. It was off putting to have warm shrimp in a cold salad. We visited Marcerro this past Saturday after a friend recommended it, and it did not disappoint. The outdoor seating area was my favorite part--comfortable, warm, and inviting with outdoor heaters and a gas fire pit. The bartender, who also acted as our server, was incredibly friendly and very accommodating. We ordered the loaded fries and poke nachos to start, and both were delicious. 3 times I've golfed at DC on the weekend and expected Marcerro to be open at 10am as posted on their site. Every time after the round the doors are locked well after 10am. I asked the guy in the pro shop when they're open and he said hit or miss. Done! How many trees had to be cut down for this sorry effort?! read more

We came here after a round of golf. The restaurant is still being developed. The full indoor dining area is not done. I had the Braut sandwich which was good. Lots of fixings on a pretzel bun. No other adds like fries. My husband had the crispy chicken that came out very hot. The coating was rather overdone and hard shelled. The fries were good, but not as crispy as I wished. He won't get that sandwich again. Perhaps, if the chicken were braised, it might have been better. Service was good. Indoor and outdoor patio. I feel bad for the people working here because they are working so hard but severely understaffed. It's St Patrick's day which is a busy holiday and there is no one working. Food took almost an hour and a half to come out so we had to extend our golfing time twice which cost us more money. When the food came out they told us half of what we ordered wasn't even available. Everything was terrible except the drinks. The lettuce in our food was wilting and black. On top of it everything was so expensive. The guys working were nice but stressed out because they weren't set up for success. The manager here wasn't present and whoever planned staffing didn't know how holidays work apparently. The plus side was the branding and the menu looked great. So we thought the food would match the quality of the design. Seems like they invested their money in the branding and menu design and not a good restaurant manager. A lot of upset people I feel bad for these college kids working. read more
