Only experienced this establishment once, maybe it was a bad night...maybe it is the norm. Either way won't be back to find out! They were extremely understaffed, never saw waiters/waitresses that had to run as much as they did. Saturday night, and not too busy. We had a large party and had made reservations. Atmosphere: Dark; several of us were using our phones to see the menus. Their website is very misleading ... must have used a lot of lighting for the photo shoot. Service: Friendly, but not very competent. For example, I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad without croutons and received the salad loaded with them--at least a cup. It had taken so long for our orders, I just took them off and put them on a plate. I was surprised when the bread basket came and styrofoam plates were offered as bread plates ... tacky. Food: OK ... salad was drenched in dressing. Tasted OK. My understanding from another diner was that the spaghetti and meatballs he ordered was just OK. Definitely a meh ... I miss Lasordas. My sister and I went to your restaurant today we had the roast beef sandwich with french fries and a salad. The roast beef came out without the french fries. When we told the waitress she said we did not want the fries. No, only the sandwich was to have the gravy not the fries.The roast beef sandwich came out cold so we sent it back only to find out the chief put the sandwich back in the oven to warn it up which toasted the bread. Both my sister and I felt sick after leaving the restaurant. Not until I just got sick tonight do I feel better. Just thought someone should know. read more

The last time I was at Weso's, it was LaSorda's almost 30 years ago. At that time, I thought the place was old and dark. We returned to the place, and was really pleased we did. The food was excellent; I had the chick parm dinner and my wife had a club sandwich. The club was made with fresh turkey and stacked well. My chicken parm was well made and came with a huge side of spag. Sauce was excellent. We will definitely be returning - expecially since we heard one of our favorite bartenders is now there. read more

Wing night is excellent, if you time it right. Other food is good to sometimes excellent. Staff is very friendly, prime time can be hectic. Bar area has good TV coverage. Overall above average dive bar with a mixed crowd of locals enjoying some drinks and grub. read more

Horrible service tonight at Weso's. We were seated by the hostess but left after 20 minutes when no one came to our table. This has happened to us a few times. They have great specials (wing night) but the service is bad. I understand they're busy but at least they could acknowledge their customers and handle beverage orders. Wesos is the best for the wings. My husband and I come here on Wednesday's,get a salad, wings, and iced tea. They are reasonably priced and we enjoy it. We have also been here for Taco Tuesday .They were pretty good.Chicken Parmigiana on Thursday. Very good Parmigiana and it is plenty. I took half home and had it for lunch for two days. read more

My wife and I went out to dinner and decided to try a new place, we came here and already in the first 5 minutes we felt very out of place, but we tried it anyway, the food was very good, but the service was horrendous, our waitress Jo Ann, was very neglectful, and seemed to be very uninterested that we were there, she brought me my salad and didn't bring any silverware to the table, just walked away, it took over almost 10 minutes to come get an empty plate, and even then failed to see that my wife's glass that was right next to the empty plate, was empty, we had to flag down another waitress to get our silverware and our plates, and also to ask her to find our waitress for the check, upon giving us our check, Jo Ann came to us with a snarky attitude and proceeded to tell us she didnt see how she didnt do anything that would make us feel neglected but, she sat down with the OLDER couple in front of us, and had a very nice conversation, and after that disappeared to the back until she came back out and watched some of the game on TV, and horsed around with the immature bus boys that had been playing around and dumping most of the work on one of the other bus boys. Mind you there was three bus boys total. The waitress that came to our aid was Dee, who was very nice, and friendly who seemed genuinely concerned when I asked if there was a manager on duty, which there wasn't do to the fact that "she hadn't had a day off in 21 straight days." however, Dee was helpful and very nice, would return to have her as a waitress, but would be hesitant due to out first experience.... Seems to be a 35 and up crowd, we are an interracial young couple in our 20's and seems like we were being treated like total dirt because we were the youngest people there... I often go here with my friends for wing nights. This is all I've ever had there, with beer, (and maybe some fries) for the past 7 years and I'm generally happy with it. We had bad service the last time we were in but I am not downgrading my review any for it. It seemed like the hostess must have been new and they were extra busy. This is a great dive bar. I think the reviews where people are expecting it to be something grand are pretty silly. It's not supposed to be nice looking and cozy! Just go for wings and beer and you'll be fine. read more

One of the most disappointing experience I have had: first of the smell of bad seafood of the restaurant should have been our first warning that we should walk away. Our server was so slow and told us then that she was the only server working and was overwhelmed. Appetizer came out after our salads and we didn't have a chance to order coffee or dessert since our server barely paid attention to what was going on at our table. I could deal with that type of service if food tasted home made unfortunately nothing was: the pasta sauce most likely came right out of jar, my pasta was about 5 min too done and my chicken was raw. Oh and I am sure they were out of salt in the kitchen as the food was not seasoned. Couldn't even complain since the server was running around not knowing what was going on. Even the salads didn't taste fresh and the dressing surely came out of a Sysco gallon jar. That is so unfortunate that it doesn't seem to be any love at all for food in this establishment. Our check was still $90 at 3. VERY overpriced for reheated food and cheap wine. read more

Really good wings, all the flavors were good, and nice and crispy! The pierogies were ok/good they did come with sauteed onions & sour cream but I think they were probably just Mrs. T's . The entrees here are large, but only moderately flavorful. I've had two that were undercooked and had to be sent back. The house salad is comprised of nice greens, not iceberg lettuce, and the blue cheese dressing was apparently homemade and excellent. The complimentary bread is quite good, and could be great if warmed up. Unfortunately, it is served not with butter, but with the worst margarine I've ever tasted (although our waiter claimed it was butter). Overall, it's okay, I guess, especially if you can find their coupon for $13 off. read more

Stopped in Wesos last night to meet some friends after work for wings a beer. We sat at the bar and the service was great, the two bartenders were on top of all of our drink orders and our wings came out within 5 minutes of ordering. The wings while a little small are cooked perfectly and are real crispy, I had there regular hot and habanero and both were really good. I've notice someone of the reviews on here talk about the lighting and what not, while it is dimly lit it creates a relaxing atmosphere. I ended up getting 20 wings and a few lagers for I believe 15 which is a great deal. Wesos is probably going to become our weekly wing spot for the foreseeable future read more

This place is mostly for regulars, and that's the fun part about going there (the crazy cast). Terrible decor, really nice bartenders, no-so-great-food (but the specials can be cheap and decent - $2 Tacos and such), good beer sports-day offers a happy hours 4-7PM M-F. Weso's Wings! Say no more. They are delicious but the fun stops there. Within 30 minutes of eating them your stomach starts to turn resembling the core of a nuclear reactor about to melt down. You cross your legs, clinch your buttocks, try and laugh to distract yourself but nothing seems to be working! Then, with only minutes, sometimes seconds of a warning the nuclear reactor which we call our stomach has begun to have a melt down. Your body is in shock. You start sweating and trembling. Hopefully you have reached a restroom by this point because BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE! Your bunghole along with the toilet just exploded! (Wipes sweat from forehead) I'm not sure what they put on their wings and I'm not sure if it's even legal but they are DAMN GOOD! Just don' t be surprised if your bunghole exploded or you shart your pants. You have been warned! Two thumbs up for their wings just choose your route home wisely! Make sure there are plenty of reststops available. ;) read more

The food here is meh. It's good but nothing to die for. I often come for the 35 cent wing night on Wednesdays. The wings can be hit or miss but they're usually good. If you walk into this place an your waitress is Joann, LEAVE. she's the rudest, slowest most unpleasant waitress I've ever had and I have physically gotten up and left before when I was told she would be my sever. She won't listen to any of your requests and when she does, she's snippy, short, and acts like you're the biggest burden imaginable. It took 2 HOURS for 20 wings. When I asked how much longer it would be she said "I don't know. There's a 25 minute wait and I can't make them go any faster." I understand they're busy but I also have a job that gets very busy and I always maintain my positive attitude toward customers. Food is decent. I always come back for it. But this business would thrive without employees like Joann who push away customers and make the customers experience just plain awful. read more

If I could put negative stars I would. First we walk in to a very creepy hostess who just stared at us without greeting us, he might have been shocked since the crowd seemed to look to be a 35+ crowd and we are in our early 20's. We are seated and waited 10 minutes before our horrible waitress greeted us. Our waitress, Jo Ann, treated my husband and I as if we didn't matter to her. She was very short with us but took her sweet time and even sat down with the older couple behind us. We felt that because we are a young interracial couple that she must have thought that we could afford a nice tip.... We can. We both make well above minimum wage and normally tip well due to the fact that I was once a waitress myself. With me being an ex-waitress I know how waitesses think. She then brings out my husbands salad and walks away without a word... I guess she forgot you need utensils for food. We had to call over this amazingly nice waitress (Dee) who was more than happy to help us. The food is very good though and very well priced. Our waitress then proceeds to only check on us once while my water glass is empty... My husband used a stop watch after I sat my water cup at the edge of the table to see how long it would take her to refill....she never did come back. After 12min of me stealing my husband's water we called Dee over to ask for a manager. We had a very nice talk with Dee since the manager wasn't there. our waitress never came out the back but when she did she watched the game on TV. The VERY young bust boys acted like children the whole time and put all the work on one bust boy. None of the boys seemed to care that adults are dining. When we had to ask Dee for our check, SHE took our plates, and talked to our waitress for us. Jo Ann then comes out with our check and with a huge attitude tell us how she doesn't understand how we could think she was neglectful. We WILL be calling the manager tomorrow!
