Three friends went for Tea at the historic Asa Ransom House…read more The food was presented on a beautiful three tiered stand as one would expect at a Tea. The bottom layer held delicate, crust-less, savory finger sandwiches, 4 for each of us, all very tasty. On the second level were delicious scones and there were three spreads offered to enhance their flavor - lemony butter, what may have been clotted cream (not sure), and a fruity jam. On the top tier there were sweet cookies and cakes. The room was decorated with old fashioned country curtains, decorative wall paper, and fancy table cloths - a perfect back drop for this experience. The servers were attentive, prompt and friendly. It was what I expected and it didn't disappoint!

For my updated review, I came with 3 friends for afternoon tea. We were excited to try it, as none…read moreof us had ever been for tea and I hadn't been back under the new ownership. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed in our overall experience. Each guest is given a sheet of paper where you can select 3 teas. The server didn't explain this was per person so we were confused thinking it was 3 per table. The biggest disappointment for us is that we were given tea bags, which in my opinion is not appropriate for an experience of afternoon tea and really cheapened the experience. As an avid tea drinker, I personally was expecting at least loose tea. We were given one hot tea pot for the table and had to constantly ask for refills until towards the end when the server gave us a second pot. It was a bit dangerous for us trying to pass one kettle around the table of four people as well. They also don't give you any iced water to drink on the side which was disappointing. In addition, no one came to clean out or change out your tea cup when you were moving on to drink the next tea. So I ended having a taste of earl grey in the chamomile tea. For the 3rd tea, I ended up dumping some of it out on my plate and wiping with my napkin. Eek! We did however, enjoy the food. They present you with a 3 tiered tray with a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries and jam/butter. We all thought the finger sandwiches, scones and desserts were delicious. The sandwich were tasty, but a bit tiny and definitely needed more filling. Overall, I may come back for the food but I was disappointed in the use of tea bags and the inattentive service.

Concerned Clarence Citizen,…read more Getting off of work after picking up my two kids from after-school program, I just wanted to have a nice family outing and have a cheat pizza night with my children. While we were waiting inside to pick up our food, a young girl, in her twenties I imagine, was talking with her coworkers behind the bar, spouting things I'd never imagine hearing in Clarence New York! "What are your guys' thoughts on Jews?" and "I gotta admit I'm a Nazi, if you're a Jew you deserve to be tied up and shot in the head." While mocking the Nazi regime salute. I have never been so disgusted in my life, and to talk about such things in the workplace with children around! I immediately rushed out, not wanting my kids to be exposed to such things! This company really needs to do something about this! I unfortunately don't know her name, but she was blonde, with an inch thick worth of makeup on, as well as glasses. Truly disgusting behavior I will never be returning again!

Celebrated daughters bday here every year. Ordered a triple finger and hey Tony pepperoni wood-fire…read morepizza . Fries that came with finger basket were awesome. Fresh cut, hot and tons of them. Pizza was just ok, needed to be cooked a min or two more, too much flop. Fingers cooked well, medium was what you would expect. Raspberry bbq was sweet if you like that note, I bet these would be great on a wing on the pit. Honey mustard just tasted like regular mustard which wasn't the best flavor note. Would pass one these if you were expecting a more Carolina gold type sauce. A triple finger, the fry and pizza was enough to feed 4 people with leftovers. All good size fingers and fries. Service was excellent the past few times I have been here. Waitress was attentive and refilled drinks, condiments etc... several times despite us being outside in prob the farthest area.
