I'm very disappointed with Marco's, I called to place an order around 9pm and they told me about their special and that I needed to order 2 pizzas to get the special price. I told them that I would call right back and I did, when I called back they said that they are no longer taking orders from the hospital at this time, I asked to speak to a manager and they put me on hold for an extended amount of time. I decided to hang up and call back then they automatically sent my call to hold without greeting me first. I attempted to call back 4-5 times and got the same response. I'm very disappointed with the Germantown location, I wished that they could have handled it more professionally. read more

I have always ordered from Marcos for years and have had no problems delivery and take out. Today that changed I ordered a pizza and wings I tracked the status of my order and it's saying delivered. So I give it a few minutes I called I speak to someone and they asked me for my address in their system it's showing it's being delivered and then I was told maybe he marked it off as delivered just give them a few more minutes. So I did I waited about 15 more minutes and I called back this time I spoke with a manager which at the time I didn't know was a manager and she says let her call the delivery guy and she puts me on hold and she comes back to the phone saying he said that the order was delivered and I'm telling her that the order wasn't delivered like I wouldn't make up a lie about a medium pizza and 10 wings being delivered. She says I'm trying to fix the issue after basically calling me a liar hangs up on me I call back I'm put on hold twice the third time she picks up I say can I speak to a manager she says this is a manager I say can I just cancel my order she says that's what I was doing trying to fix the order I can't get a answer out of him then offered to have the order delivered again I declined I just told her I wanted my money back. I only give Three Star because the Marco's in Marion, Illinois will these days deny on the phone that there's a "Classic" (very thin Chicago style) crust option. I guess this location's franchise owner decided to nix the Classic crust as well as the Chicken Florentine pizza. Pizza is always cooked well, but there's a wide range of crust "doneness" if you will, as in maybe there's not quality control in crust thickness, so it comes out of the timed hot air cooker in many forms. And there is no option at Marco's for Well Done, and that's because the timer hot air cooker only has one setting. I'll say the Deluxe Uno is probably their flagship pizza and the bang for your $buck$ offering. Steer clear of their pitiful wings. The Meatball Bake is great but overpriced at $10.99 read more

Finally tried Marco's because our oldest had a Spirit Night for GHS to benefit LeBonheur, plus if he ordered he would receive extra credit points. We loved their Philly cheesesteak pizza! The Germantown Marco's, like the one in Collierville, has always been great. I have been there several times and the pizza has always been cooked just right and the staff have always been great. As a former Papa John's customer, I can say with confidence that if all Marco's locations could be like the ones in GTown and CVille, they will put their competition out of business! My granddaughter interviewed here and the manager was very hateful, asked if she had mental issues because she was nervous since it was her first interview ever. Visited here when a friend of my wife had a coupon she won in a silent auction and she wanted to treat us. We ordered a meat pizza and cheese bread. Both items were very tasty and had me wanting more. Staff was very friendly and personable, welcoming everyone who came in with "Welcome to Marco's!" well, our run of good pizza from Marcos ended last night. Somehow I knew there would be issues when the order taker was confused from the start. I really expected the order to get messed up, but rather then that, the pizzas were terrible. The white cheesy was dry and did not have enough sauce and the bacon tasted like it was rubber which was gross. The xlg pepperoni was overloaded with pepperoni (thanks I guess) but was overcooked (not sure how that can happen with their tunnel ) and again no sauce. Theory - the sauce lady did not show up for work, they were busy and they were trying to make it through the evening with what they had? Oh, and the lady ahead of me waited through 2-3 others for her take-out and it was sitting on the rack. When she asked and finally got it there was an issue with one of her pizzas as well. Plus there was not a lot of smiling from the team last night - bad experience, will give them one more shot. Oh, and how bad last night ? We spent $41 for an XL Thin Pepperoni Melt Pizza, Salad, and Brownies, utilizing a 20% off coupon. We ordered from their website, which denotes they have XL Thin Crust Pizzas; which is what I ordered from their website. Our pizza arrived warm, low on cheese and pizza sauce, and w/thick crust, which is not what we ordered. When I spoke w/Tawana, the Manager @ Marco's on Sanderlin in Memphis, within 5 minutes of our order delivery; she stated that Marcos doesn't sell XL Thin Crust Pizza. I asked her why she didn't call me, when she noticed that's what I'd ordered from their website and why Lite/Thin Crust is an option on their website and she couldn't answer me. I informed her that we ordered thin crust, and let her know our pizza was only warm, not hot and it was also lacking cheese and pizza sauce and she seemed to care less and didn't offer any solution or apology of any kind! Oh my gosh! Love, love. love the pizza! Went in with my friends for an afternoon lunch and we shared 2 different pizzas and an Italian Sub sandwich. Everyone was so friendly. We ordered the White Cheesy Pizza and one that had everything on it. They had lots of toppings and the crust is to die for. They make their own pizza crust dough in the store every morning. The sandwich was warm and just as good as the pizza. We had so much food that we did not try the salads but they looked great! We were delighted to see a Marco's had arrived in our area! It was always our favorite in the Midwest. I'm not sure why someone reviewed it saying they used paper plates - not so - we dined in and they had the great metal plates I remember, with a super corrugated liner to keep my pizza crisp as desired. I adore this place!!! I used to live in Indianapolis where Marcos was quite popular and fell in love with it there. Was so happy to hear there was one in Memphis. It's hands down better than pizza Hut, Papa Johns, or Dominoes. Just better tasting and better ingredients. It's still new so the employees are still learning, but no complaints. The pizza is a great value if all you want is carry out. The price is the best thing about it. It blows places like Pizza Hut out of the water!! The ingredients seem to be REAL. Then there was one of the food prep girls in the back FIXING HER HAIR with her latex gloves still on! After she was done fixing her hair she went right back to the kitchen area and did NOT change her gloves. We ordered the Deluxe Uno and 2 drinks to eat in. This is a seat/serve yourself place. You get your own paper plates, get your own plastic silverware, and get your own drinks at the soda fountain. So, I was SHOCKED to see on my receipt a place to LEAVE A TIP!! Really??? Sure, they bring the food to your table. They have to walk a whole 10 feet to set a pizza on your table and this deserves a tip? I had to walk further than that to seat myself, get my own plates/silverware, and drinks. With that said, when we purchased the pizza and drinks I had to go back up to the order desk to ASK FOR MY CUPS so I could fix my own drinks! The girl who took my order was the one I asked for my cups. She copped an attitude! Really???? And they want a tip???? 5 GUYS takes your order the same way Marcos does and they bring your order to your table just like Marcos. 5 Guys does not have a place on the receipt for a tip. After seating ourselves down we noticed the tables weren't cleaned. We had to clean our table the best we could with the wet wipes my wife carries in her purse. There were pieces of food on the table, grease smears, and food in the chairs. I would like to believe they clean up at night or have a professional cleaning crew?? Otherwise, this place will risk having roach infestations in the near future. Then after we finished eating we had to get back up out of our seats to ask for a to-go box for the leftovers........and they want a tip? I might as well have stayed at home and served myself! With that said, Pappa Murphy's is literally 1 BLOCK down the SAME street. For $4.00 less I could have ordered a better pizza and cooked it at home. I would have actually done less walking, saved $4.00, and enjoyed a better tasting pizza. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered a meatball sandwich. I haven't tried the sandwich because the person making it did not wear gloves. I gave the store a $7 tip on a $10 tab, because it was new. I stepped outside, to watch my sandwich made through the window, and my sandwich was made without gloves. I observed the employee making my sandwich scratch their head (without a hairnet) and put their hand into the cheese.
