Marcos is my absolute favorite pizza joint. My family and I order at least once per week. This weekend we ordered the All-Meat pizza and lemon pepper wings for delivery. I placed the order online which was fairly simple. I love that they always have coupon codes and specials. That is the icing on the cake. The delivery time was under 30 minutes that gave me just enough time to order from work and have it by the time I get home. The pizza arrived hot and when I opened the box it was perfect. The crust was just right and it had just the right amount of meat. The sauce is chefs kiss. The wings were oven baked and were hot and fresh as well. They had the perfect amount of lemon pepper seasoning on them. They provided one ranch for the wings, but I would have liked two because they wings were being shared. So, for the longest time my wife and I always ordered from Marco's when we wanted pizza. Sadly, they moved locations and delivery was no longer an option. The opportunity to have them again came about and we eagerly ordered our usual. It was disappointing. That's not to say it wasn't a good pizza, but in the time between, other delivery options like Papa John's and Dominoes had improved. Since we moved here, we have felt as if there's a pizza drought- not much to choose from. This is our second time ordering pizza here. We really like the taste of their pizza. Great sauce, great crust. I only wish that they had fresh mushrooms. We also like their salads that are made to order. The customer service at this location is amazing. I called back after we had placed our order to add toppings to one of our pizzas and the person helping me told someone there to pull my pizza out of the oven and add the toppings without and issue. Now that is customer service!! The owner is always there and is super nice. We live a bit outside of their delivery area but it is so worth it for us to drive here to pick up. The only reason I give Marco's 4 stars is because I wish they had one closer to me. If you're looking for a different flavor and style of pizza you have to try Marco's. I hate I didn't take a picture, but everyone was in a rush to eat by the time I got it home. We ordered the x-large meat pizza. It has 12 slices and there were only 3 slices left by the time we finished. The ingredients are fresh. The sauce is very flavorful and they don't skimp on the toppings. I become more and more disappointed in this establishment every time my husband orders from here. The pizza sauce is as horrible as eating a rotten tomato. The smell really matches it's taste. The wings are fine aside from the sauce, Jesus Christ the sauce awful, hot wings are out! It's like you chose the worst rated sauce from the lowest rating dollar store in town. I only ate two wings. The Garden pizza that we ordered was delicious, and the server who helped me was very friendly and cheerful. My main complaint is that, in the small kitchen area, not a single one of the many employees was wearing a mask. Very disappointed. Ordered via their website last night and the pick up time was 20 minutes. I am about 15 minutes away and in town on business for five weeks. Our group ordered 3 large pizzas.. Nothing crazy. Waited 20 minutes and drove to the store. That's when it got bad. After an additional 50 minutes of waiting in the store, the pizza was ready to pick up. 50 minutes of me standing there watching other pizzas come out .. Seriously???? What's worse is that the first pizza was ready, so clearly there was an issue with the last two. Regardless, waiting an hour to and pick up pizza is NOT acceptable. There's another pizza place, Tortugas, which was closer to the hotel. Had been there several times in the last few weeks while we were here, but wanted a change. Should've stuck with them. I just learned recently that Marco's Pizza offers a gluten free pizza and so I was really excited to try it. I got the cauliflower crust with alfredo sauce, pepperoni, cheese, and mushrooms. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting, but not terrible to make the crust a speciality one. I was actually quite surprised by how good the gluten free crust was. I am not a fan of some I have gotten at the store before, but this one exceeded my expectations. I ordered it for pick up and it was ready shortly after I arrived. They do not have any covid protocols in place, but there is limited seating in the store and so I believe the majority of their business is call in orders and curbside which is nice. By far the rudest Marcos pizza in Birmingham! I ordered a pizza tonight and it was sub par. Called the restaurant and asked for the manager and the guy on the phone (Diego) told em he was the manager. I asked for a new pizza and he told me that he didn't know if he could do that!! You are the manager, what do you mean you can't do that? Then he told me that I could bring the pizza back and get another! I said "you can bring me another pizza and I can give you this back!" He told me that he couldn't do that either!! The dough was hard, toppings were skimpy, and qaukiry was worse than Dominoes!!! You pay 17$, you expect quality in return. This is the 2nd time I've had this problem here. Trust me when I say "there won't be a third!!" I don't know who the general manager is of this place, but this guy has cost you the business of a loyal customer. And please believe that I will be telling EVERYONE I Hoover, not to eat here!! We started a new tradition with our family of weekly pizza Friday's and chose Marco's Pizza place as we drove by several times and now decided to give it a try. The lady at the register took my order, pizza with chicken, feta cheese, red onion, peppers and extra cheese, 15 wings with sauce, a brownie and a drink. She repeated it back and I paid and left to wait. First waiting time was double from quoted but things happen I understand. Yet, when I grabbed my order it was a great disappointment for us to get home all hungry and tired only to see that they gave us a pizza with only peppers and onions and some cheese. NO chicken! Seriously? How do you forget to put the main ingredient? Things got worse, as we noticed they put 14 instead of 15 wings. And small things like no napkins, no plates... this is the last time I tip for a take out. I suggest avoid this one, it's just dishonest. read more

I used my debit card to place an order for a pizza at 7:13 pm on 01/15/2021. This is the Marco's Pizza on Braddock Drive in Hoover, AL. I was told that it would be delivered in about 57 minutes. It is now 9:08 pm and my pizza has not been delivered. I've called several times to cancel my order but no one ever answered the phone. This is terrible customer service and I feel like Marcos Pizza stole my money. I would not recommend them to anyone. I will be calling my bank on Monday to report this so that I can get my money back. read more

I've ordered from Marco's twice, I am a New Yorker and from my standards, their pizza is not bad, they can't seem to get the crust right but the topping is excellent! I did not get any heartburn from their sauce and obviously, I enjoyed it enough to order 2x from them. This is some of the best inexpensive pizza I've had in a long time. They are very fast with both pickup and delivery. The store owner Mr. Patel is always friendly and nice. Their sausage pizza is unlike others I'v had because it's though they use big chunks of sausage toppings, hand-rolled, and that keeps me coming back. We order pizza from Marco's frequently. The pizza is always delivered quickly. They make a great pizza and they are reasonably priced. Last night we ordered a pizza at 5:17. The guy was knocking on our door at 5:37 with the two hot pizzas we'd ordered. Twenty minutes! To my knowledge it takes 12 to 15 minutes to cook a pizza, and the drive from their location in Hoover to our house in Vestavia is at least 10 minutes. The girl who took my order was friendly, she quoted me a time of 20 mins & when I came back 15 mins later my pizza was ready. So, good job to her on having a good idea on times :). Most places don't, & I appreciate an honest time. I ordered a small cheese pizza with cheese sticks. Today my pizza is not flat or soggy & the flavor is all still there.
