Worst Service Ever -- Wrong Order, Rude Staff, 2+ Hour Wait, No Resolution I ordered three pizzas around 4 PM, including a thin-crust Hawaiian. When my order arrived, the Hawaiian was thick crust and half the pizza didn't even have toppings (see photo). I called Marco's immediately and was on hold for over 30 minutes before anyone picked up. When a female employee finally answered, she was rude and confrontational. I explained I had ordered thin crust, but she argued with me, insisting I was wrong. I also explained that half the pizza had no toppings, but she didn't apologize or offer any real solution. She eventually offered to remake the pizza. I asked if they could make sure it was thin crust this time, and her response was shocking: "No, because you didn't order it that way" -- even though I definitely did. I agreed to take whatever they sent. After waiting and still not getting any delivery, I noticed I had missed a call from them. I called back immediately, told them I missed a call and was waiting on my remake -- and they put me on hold for another 10 minutes. Out of frustration, I called from a friend's phone instead, and they answered right away. My friend asked about the ETA, and only then did they finally say, "It's heading out now" -- more than two hours after my original order. But here's the kicker: the remake pizza never came at all. This was, without question, the worst experience I've ever had with any pizza place: * Wrong crust & half a pizza missing toppings * Rude, unprofessional staff * Ignored my calls but answered instantly from another number * Over 2 hours of waiting and the remake never arrived I will never order from Marco's again. I called them at the branch address shown in the ad, in1795 Kernan Blvd S Jacksonville, FL 32246 (904) 635-2322 They said they no longer have those promotions. event when the ad stated it ends in the middle of next month. We ordered a calzone and a pizza bowl. The calzone is 1/3 the size of the normal calzone you receive for $15.99 when I called to ask why they change the recipe I was told the new owners wanted it made it that way. however they use the same amount of dough, etc. which there's no way possible not enough meat or dough. if they want to make more money they shouldn't lose customers because we're done. My neighbor loves eating Marco's pizza. I'm big on budgeting and since they don't normally run promos I never ate here. Until I tried it when my neighbor ordered it and I tried a slice. Not sure the delivery range but they do deliver in my neighborhood. An hour is a realistic wait time for the pizza to get delivered. If you don't like pizza place wings there's a wing stop next door and it could compliment your meal very well. The pizza here has always been great and fresh. The wings are just ok but I'm not a fan of oven baked wings. There was one time when I ordered pizza from here - Asked in the instruction for them to call me when they get to the house since I may be at the neighbor's pool. I get a phone call an hour and a half after placing my order and was told they came by and no one was home. Sigh... The guy told me he could not call me because he did not have a cell phone. OMG, a pizza Delivery restaurant that excels at salads, subs, and deserts. Ok, I over did it. Chef salad, Two 12" steak and cheese subs, and a brownie. The salad was so fresh and crisp, I was remembering the fresh food that came from my mom's garden. The steak and cheese subs simply didn't seem to end they were so thick stuffed with meat that the hot baked bread simply couldn't hold. The white chocolate chip brownie was over the top. My wife and I just couldn't finish it. It was huge. I'm sure it will taste great tomorrow. I've had their pizza before and I thought it was great, but over priced. While I can't stand Pizza Hut due to it's crazy amount of grease, Marcos regular crust pizza is much like Pizza Hut in taste, only in my experience, less greasy. Probably the best chain restaurant pizza in town. I started coming here pretty regular about a year ago and haven't stopped! We have a Domino's and a Papa John's within spitting distance, and a Pizza Hut that delivers as well, and due to the quality and the friendly team I would much rather DRIVE to get my pizza since they don't deliver to my area. Pizza itself is not bad. Not as good as Moon River, but way better than Pizza Hut or any of those big pizza chains. However they need to work on their organization, professionalism, and customer focus before I'm a fan. I ordered a pizza over the phone for pick up and they said it would be ready in about 30 minutes. I showed up 30 minute later and proceeded to wait an additional 40 minutes before my pizza was out. There were others there who had been waiting a long time also. They obviously had some sort of problem, but all I got when I asked the girl at the counter about the delay was a shrug. In comparison, Moon River is totally slammed on Saturday nights and they always get my pizza out on time and with a smile. When I eventually got my pizza, the guy who rang me up took $2 off my total - after I complained - and that was a nice gesture, but it was too little too late. Now, the pizza was hot and tasty (I got the Chicken Fresco) so no complaints in the taste department. I will probably give them another chance, but with lowered expectations. read more

This was ultimately slow service and terrible service... The food is great. However, service was horrible. I called to order my food at 6:22pm Saturday, 12/26/20. My sister in law ordered her pizza while on the same phone call. We were told it would be 20 minutes. We headed that way, as we aren't in the delivery area. When we arrived, I was asked for my name. I told them I gave a phone number, not a name. They look it up and say there was nothing there for me. The manager comes up and finds that my order is under my phone number and someone else's name. I ask if my name and address can be changed. She said no.... She gets my order and I pay. My sister in law gets to the register, her order isn't ready. "It's in the oven", according to the manager. 30 minutes later, I ask if her order is ready. Yes it is. 10 minutes later, her order is to the counter. "They messed up a sub and had to remake it." She pays. They bring my order back out. I was completely missing a pizza. I ask to speak to the manager. I get the same woman I spoke to earlier. I ask to speak to the store manager... Guess what?! Again, it was her. So I asked to speak with a district or regional manager. She takes my name and number.... Here I am on Tuesday, 12/29/20.... And no phone call.... People continued to come in and pick up orders as well as place and receive orders as we waited for 55 minutes to receive our order... It was 7:17pm when we finally got our order. All I got was excuses from this manager. I was not the only that was waiting. She blames it on new employees, lack of training, busy Saturday night, and food getting messed up and having to redo it... I get having a busy night, but you should be telling people a more accurate time frame than 20 minutes if it's going to take you an hour to get it done. I get mistakes happen when making food, but again communication is key. Let someone know you have to make it again. She asked me if I wanted a store credit to use next time.. After that experience, there won't be a next time.... Until this store gets their service straight, they will continue to have issues... read more

Marco's reminds me of the great authentic Italian style pizza I'm accustomed to in New Jersey. For a chain they far exceed Papa Johns and more resemble a mom and pop pizzeria where each pizza is carefully crafted. Until I discovered Marco's a few months ago I was a die hard Papa Johns fan but I haven't had them since! Their chicken fresco completely won me over, as did their old world pepperoni I get put on the pizza for the little ones. They're never skimpy on pizza sauce--it's wonderfully seasoned--and toppings so you're never wondering where they went. Definitely make sure you try their cheesy bread! I've noticed previous customers seem to have a problem with the customer service they receive but I have yet to experience anything negative. They are always cheery when I come in and they automatically open all boxes for you to inspect the food before you pay which is a first for me and a very now touch. At this point I tell them not to bother opening the boxes since I have never had an issue with my order. Kudos to you Marco's!!! read more

Marcos back home in Columbus, Ga is awesome and has great pizza and service. Since this Marco opened, we've ordered delivery and takeout on many occasions and it never disappoints. I wish they were open earlier and later at times BC you can't order online before they open, which we do sometimes after running errands all morning. I order here pretty often and I have to say every time I do the staff is great very nice and helpful the food is always hot and fresh, love the way the greet meet me with smiles every time even when it's crazy busy I order online today it took a little long then normal but Bryant was doing a great job I watched him as he was the only one in the store doing everything by himself with all the orders comeing in online and phone inns I wanted to jump back there and help lol wish I wasn't moving this week but always great job management and staff keep up the wonderful work and don't loss those smiles I see every time and the little jokes and convos we have when I come in read more

I've been told numerous time that Marco's pizza is amazing. About a year ago, I tried to order from the Argyle location but the wait time for delivery was over two hours, which was too long for me and I had no way to pick it up. I was excited this week when someone suggested ordering from the new 103rd and Blanding Marco's pizza. We ordered the pizza for delivery. It look about an hour to arrive and when the pizza did arrive it was not warm. I ended up re-heating my slices in the microwave. I wish I could say that the pizza was worth the wait, but alas it was definitely mediocre. The bread was very tough, maybe because I had to re-heat. The sauce and cheese was bland as well. Personally, I would pick any national pizza chain over Marco's pizza. The delivery box also said something about authentic Italian pizza, well I never had pizza that looked or tasted like Marco's while in Italy. read more

Yummy and fast delivery. Very nice people. The ordering side of it wasn't as easy as expected. I have a user name and login but the website wouldn't let me log in and order with my credentials. After a bunch of tried, more that 6, I was able to login. The staff that delivered my food was friendly and I'd order again. The food was pretty good. read more

My spouse went in to place an order the young man at the counter was working both the register and preparing dough to make the pizza. He went back and forth, he did not wash his hands. I love this pizza. I an from NYC and know what a great pizza tastes like. Since moving to FL 18 years ago I have tried just about every "New York Style" out there and none have even come close to the authentic flavor of Marcos pizza. The NY crust is delicious but does not take away the flavors of the sauce and cheese in any way. If I close my eyes I would think I was in a NY pizza place. The customer service for me has been exceptional. I call in for pick up a lot and it was always ready on time and piping hot. I have not had any problems with staff at either the 103rd st location or the Argyle location. The longest I had to wait not calling ahead in time was 35 minutes but I know my pizza was being made from scratch each time so it was worth the wait. I do have to say that the amount of pepperoni or sausage seemed a little skimpy sometimes but still did not take away the flavor overall. This pizza is my "New York Style" go too all the way!!
