    meat lovers slice
    Kathryn T.

I had high hopes for Pizza Point because I love Indian cuisine & pizza. Sadly, my visit was such a let down that I will not return. I arrived just a few minutes before their 4p opening time so I was the first customer for the day once they opened. I only wanted one slice & correctly assumed that they do not offer their specialty Indian pizzas by the slice. I was surprised by the fact that they did not have any pizza ready at opening so I was told it would be a 15m wait for a meat lovers slice. I decided to wait since I planned to dine in & unfortunately, it took over 25m for the slice to be ready. The fact that the slice wasn't good just added insult to injury. The dough was incredibly bland, all of the meat seemed to be low quality, and the crust was soggy. I will say that the service was friendly but that's not enough of a draw for me to overcome the quality of the pizza.

This is their Tikka Masala Pizza. It was incredible! We also got plain cheese and it was made to perfection. Plus the service was great! We will definitely be back!

At first glance, this spot looks like your classic no-frills pizza joint. cafeteria-style tables, simple decor, and a straightforward menu of pizza and Italian fare. But dig a little deeper (aka check the specialty pizza section), and you'll find something truly special: Indian fusion pizzas that are delightful. We tried the ChickenTikka Masala pizza and the Veggie Curry pizza, and both were out-of-this-world good. The curry was drool-worthy. The crust? Perfection. Crispy on the edges, but still had that ideal New York-style flop. Every bite was packed with bold, flavorful, perfectly balanced ingredients. These pizzas are baked to order, and you can taste the love in every slice. It looked like a mother-daughter team was running the show, and they were working hard and making it all happen. The vibe was warm and welcoming, and you could tell the other diners were just as happy as we were. Also they had such good fountain sodas. Nothing hits quite like a fizzy root beer with a slice of something spicy and savory. I'm definitely going back! Partly because I want to try their regular Italian dishes, but mostly because I already can't stop thinking about that curry pizza. A hidden gem, and now one of my go-to spots in Jax.

I asked if the pizza size the chef was making was small and the person ringing me up said no it's medium. It wasn't. It was small. I know they both heard it and stopped and thought about it too. 2/10 bc not attentive enough to tell correct size of pizza however it felt purposeful to make me purchase more pizza. I had left a 5 star review. I have adjusted for that.

I ordered 2 slices of the deluxe pizza for pickup. I was greeted when I walked in and both staff members were super nice. When grabbing my order, I was asked if I wanted any grated parmigiana or crushed red pepper. I always forget to ask for red pepper when I get pizza to-go so I was so happy they asked. The pizza was hot and fresh and very good. Love the sauce! I do prefer a tad more crunch with my thin crust, but overall good pizza!

I've had Indian style inspired pizza before and while it's always been good, I've never been as impressed as I was here at Pizza Point. They're so good at incorporating Indian ingredients while keeping the hot cheesy doughy elements that are so important to pizza. We got two medium pizzas to share between 4 people and it was the perfect amount! The beef curry sauce pizza was my favorite of the two. Not only was it super flavorful, but it made the pizza so saucy and not dry. But it also didn't make for a soggy crust. The chicken tikka masala pizza is a pretty classic flavor. Also super delicious, but was kind of in the shadow of the beef curry sauce. Only complaint is that their drink menu is kind of outdated. We tried to order some michelobs but they didn't have any. And the service feels kind of slow despite it not being that busy when we were there. But all the important things were good like delicious food and friendly service.

Just recently had Pizza Point for the first time and really enjoyed! Our friends typically order from here and really enjoy the variety of pies they offer, so when we opted for the white we weren't surprised that it tasted great! The pizza was neatly made, generously seasoned and full of cheese, and we were all happy! Overall, will definitely order pizza from Pizza Point again!

Before I begin this review, I need to preface by saying that I recognize ordering a wrap at a pizza restaurant isn't necessarily setting myself up for success. However, I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap for lunch on a Friday and was disappointed by the meal I received. The description notes crispy chicken strips, cheese, lettuce, and red onion but the wrap I received had grilled chicken and lettuce with no cheese or onion (I hadn't asked for any substitutions or omissions). It was falling apart, difficult to eat, and did not come as advertised. The fries were soggy and cold, I'm sure they were frozen along with the chicken. My colleague ordered a personal veggie pizza and enjoyed it. As their name suggests, I would stick to their pizza. We also shared an order of garlic knots and were pleased. Overall, the service was fine but I'm not rushing to visit again.

Overall the food was delicious and the service was excellent. They were very attentive and we only saw 2 employees there( I'm guessing Mom and Daughter?) they were both very kind! We went around lunch time on Super Bowl so I imagined they wouldn't be very busy until maybe the evening for pizza orders? So we were served extremely fast! As much as I would recommend this pizza place because they were very delicious-it needs a serious revamp of the restaurant itself. It is very outdated and the vibe just felt dirty. Please look at getting the restaurant redone-you have a great business!

I knew yesterday as soon as I saw the advertisement for the new specials I had to get Layla's Chicken Cutlet Sandwich. My daughter couldn't decide on a calzone or the Mac Attack Pizza and after some deliberation, she landed on the Mac Attack Pizza. We got there just after opening and they already had a few customers in the door, but we didn't have to wait long at all. Our food was ready within 15 minutes and brought out. The chicken cutlet sandwich was everything I had hoped it would be. Tangy, savory, and the cutlets were the perfect thickness. Full of great flavor and fresh mozzarella made this the perfect lunch today. The bread wasn't too soft, nor was it too hard. Baked PERFECT. I would eat this every single day if could. Amara loved her pizza and is excited to have some left over for later when she's playing her video games. I like mac n cheese, but generally I'm not a mac and cheese on pizza kind of gal, so I did not try any as of yet. Maybe she'll let me have a slice later? I was too stuffed from the sandwich for anything else. 10 out of 10 recommend and hubby is a little jealous we went without him.

The pizza came out fast and I got back. Here's the thing: Florida is notorious for having lackluster pizza. There's no ways around it. The pizza was cooked perfectly, thin, and a thicker crust. Perfect for folding. The sauce: not too loose and not too thin. Good amount for pizza, regardless of location. Flavor wise, not bad. Cheese and toppings had the right amount so it could incorporate into every bite. Now going back to my statement on Florida pizza. It's better than other Floridian pizzas I've had. It scratched the itch and I definitely enjoyed it. They'll get my business when I come back to Jacksonville!

The ham was below average, with one hard bit. My wife didn't like that there was so little pineapple in it. Our Napoleon pastry was pretty good, and I might get it again ($5 for a small one). We both preferred it to the brownie ($4). I don't particularly like brownies, but this one looked particularly appetizing, and the order-taker said it was one of her favorites, so we tried it. That was a mistake. Perhaps I should have tried the mini cream puffs, which are a favorite of mine (3 for $5), instead. Among other things I usually like, they had carrot cake for $7 and a cup of cheesecake for $9 (which seems steep). Their fruit shaped pastries looked beautiful (and a couple next to us said they loved the mango one), but were $12 each. Their fruit-topped Danishes also looked delicious, but weren't available any more at lunch time. They also offer milk shakes and loaded (sweet) croissants. We've been to Crispy's a handful of times over the past few months and tried a few things on the menu. Nearly every time we've been there we've seen pizzas go by us and thought "dang, we really need to try their pizza some time". So when we decided to go there tonight I figured we'd finally do that. In addition to that, my wife informed me that she was going to have Garlic Knots no matter what. So yes, we ordered Garlic Knots to start. I don't know why, but I was expecting them to be a bit tough. I guess maybe I've just had them at other places and they're usually thick / tough, so that's what I figured these would be. They weren't. They were really soft, in the best way. Not doughy or under cooked, just soft, warm and very good! We debated what pizza to go with and eventually settled on The Klutho, which is more or less their meat lovers pizza. We also did the garlic butter crust at the suggestion of our server. I'll start by saying thank you to our server for that suggestion because that was some good crust. I'm happy to report that we both thought the pizza tasted as good as we both thought it looked every time it went by us before. Let me put it this way: if the pizza in my photo looks great to you, yes, it's that good. Like I said, we've been to Crispy's a few times over the past couple of months and we just like the place a lot.
