Hands down! The best pizza in town!!!! I've been eating at Rennas most of my life. Nothing will change

This was my first time at Renna's pizza. l have literally passed this restaurant for years until today l told my friend that l wanted good pizza. My friend said, "let's go to Renna's you heard of it? I said no." We entered the restaurant it was not busy. It was seven of us 4 kids 3 adults. I ordered 2 large pizzas one margarita one pepperoni. The kids devoured the pepperoni pizza. I did taste a cheese part of the pepperoni pizza it was really good. The staff was so nice and accommodating. After my kids ate the pizza l ordered a calzone and garlic cheeses I told the cashier that I wanted the calzone cut in 5 pieces and they were accommodating. My friends ordered sandwiches one Philly cheese steak and one veggie sub. The veggie sub was really good next time l will order it without peppers and extra tomatoes yes I will be back. I think this is my new favorite place. Some of the tables were dirty that is the only reason l didn't give a 5 rating. It was nice to ear it. read more

My husband used to live in Orange Pike and has since moved to Indiana. He said this was the best pizza he's ever had so we had to come so I could try it out. He was not lying! I agree that this is the best pizza I've had. Big slices, amazing cheese, so so yummy. The garlic cheese bread so delicious and cheesy. I highly recommend if you love some good old cheesy pizza. Worst pizza! I've eaten in Jacksonville since I moved here seven years ago! It had like a funky spoiled odor and taste. Seemed like reheated stale and old. My daughter ordered a caesar salad that had frozen pieces of lettuce in it! When pointed out, the woman there claimed that the fridge is kept real cold and freezes overnight ( so it wasn't fresh)! I didn't want to make a stink with my daughter present. I should've walked out though with a refund! read more

I have been to this place many times for a slice and a cold beer. They have never disappointed, but was never blowed away. Ordered a whole pizza for take out for the first time... goodnight... what a difference a whole pie makes. It was phenomenal. I only wish I would have taken a pic of it before we devoured it to show how well put together of a pie it was. It was more flavorful than I could have ever thought. Ordered a side of garlic knots and when I asked if they came with marinara, they of course said yes. Well they lied... what came on the side, which I can only imagine is used in the pie itself too was the opposite of marinara... it's Gravy! Deep red, smooth, and packed full of more flavor than the law should allow. Hands down a NY pizzeria not in NY that everyone should experience. read more

One month update. Sent an email to their office and still no response. I want to know why your cash registers are programmed to charge 18% large party charge on a take out orders over $100. I was told they could not take it off. Always check your receipts. read more

But today I saw many new faces it took 40 minutes for my pizza the one who was making the pizza with a lot of beard and without gloves and the taste of the pizza was terrible the first time I have this bad experience the one without gloves stretching the dough touching the receipts of the orders as if nothing. Had garlic knots and New York style pepperoni pizza to go. Garlic knots were the best I have had in Jacksonville so far. Sauce on pizza was great pizza could have used a few more minutes in the oven. Service was great ice cold beer. Highly recommend! read more

We dropped in for a quick bite as this was a late lunch and just needed something to tie us over to dinner. A slice would hit the spot and we were familiar with Renna's from their other locations. For me, this location seemed a cut-below what we've come to expect. Based on this visit, the mandarin store does a better job in my opinion. The pepperoni slice seemed extra greasy today but a few napkin dabs easily fixed that. Maybe they have a different supplier for their food from the other locations? Seems unlikely but you never know. Regardless the pizza is still better than the chains and thankfully they do serve slices so that's a plus. read more

We use to frequent Renna's a lot more several years ago. No particular reason why we haven't been in a while, just not on our radar. So when we at a nearby business we decided to stop by and have lunch. Looks just the sam as always, which it always has looked like it needs a good update and that hasn't changed. Another thing that hasn't changed is the amazing aroma of garlic and butter that permeates throughout the restaurant as well as wafting outdoors. We decided on an old favorite of a white pizza. Because we were starving we decided to order a side of garlic rolls. We did ask for them to come out prior to the pizza, if you don't they all come out at once. They were okay but not cooked well enough so a big doughy. Pizza arrived not too long afterwards and it was as good as we remembered. Garlicky and so very good on a thin crispy crust. They also have sandwiches and many other types of pizza. I do wish they'd update and freshen up the place as it is beginning to look a little dumpy inside but I was happy to find that the pizza quality is still great. read more

Came in the other night to give them a real look over to see if it was as good as it was the first time. Well it did not do even close the pizza was burnt on the bottom and the calzones you could see the burnt crust. This was all I could taste was burnt. Called and called and called and no one picked up. Someone finally did, asked if I could hold, and after 15 minutes on hold they disconnected me. After a total of 45 minutes trying we gave up and went elsewhere. I get you're busy on a Saturday, but if you pay people a high enough wage then you won't be short staffed. It's honestly as simple as that. It's a shame too because their pizza is amazing. read more

Beware! If you place an order totaling $100 or more, an 18% "large party" fee will be added to your bill EVEN IF IT IS A TAKE OUT ORDER. This only applies to the Argyle and San Jose locations that are under new ownership. This fee is NOT assessed at the Neptune Beach or Marsh Landing locations, which are still owned by the Renna family. The quality of the pizza has been in steady decline at the Argyle location for a while (maybe the new ownership?), and now this added charge when ordering for a family gathering moves it from the "almost not worth the price" to "definitely not worth the price." I will drive the small extra distance to V Pizza, Al's Pizza, or maybe even Blaze (although I have no idea how they would handle a take out order of 5 pizzas, but I may know soon). I will be trying one of Renna's locations that are still owned by the family. I hope to find the food quality will be as it originally was. read more

Renna's is one of the few places that I will actually eat pizza. It is definitely not my most favorite food to eat. This trip we took my son for some food after getting his hair cut. I wasn't in the mood for pizza so I got the antipasto salad. Both the fiancé and my son got pizza of course. One of the things I love about this place is you can get pizza by the slice. I have three other members of my family and not one of them likes the same thing. Being able to get each person exactly what they want is a huge bonus. My boys are also teenagers so holy COW can they eat. The slices at Renna's are plenty big enough to satisfy even the endless stomachs teenage boys seem to have! The salad I got was also monstrous! I had to get another plate and divide the salad in two just to be able to eat it without getting it all over the table or myself. Everything tasted fresh and I really like the house dressing. Prices here are very reasonable so it's a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. read more

I must say, this is one of the best damn pizza I've had locally. Good Dough with fresh mozz equals an amazing pizza!!! My goodness, I've had the deluxe, which is my go to for pizzas and calzones. This was sooooo cheesy, I hate when you order pizza from somewhere else an they are stingy with the cheese. They treat it like it's comiing out if their personal refridge or something. This place is the totally opposite, everything evenly distributed the veggies, meats sauce and cheese......yea this was sooo good. Keep up the good job Rennas! read more

Okay place, with extremely long wait times, and non consistency of pizza. As you can tell by looking at the two slices. I guess I was punished for ordering pepperoni as they give be two different sized slices. That's a management issue because it shows that the people don't know how to cut a pizza properly. read more

I sent this email to them over a week ago and no response. I'll drive to Vito's for better tasting pizza , better customer service, and not as expensive! "I went to your Argyle Blvd location at 8:03PM and was told that I couldn't eat inside because it was closing in an hour. I have never heard of a restaurant turning customers away an hour before closing. They said I could order to go, but that defeated the point of me coming there. My niece had a couple of slices of pizza made her day. She said is was pretty good as well. The prices were very reasonable and a good value for what you got.
