We ordered from Primo pizza on a Tuesday. When I called they confirmed my name and phone number was correct. After looking at the menu, I opted to get a large half pepperoni and half cheese pizza and a large order of garlic knots. The gentleman on the phone said it would be 15 minutes. I was stunned, so quick! When I arrived everything was ready to go. Got home and dug into the pizza and garlic knots. You can absolutely tell the owners are originally from Brooklyn. There's an authenticity present that's hard to come by down here. I went with the "two slices and a drink" deal. Something that is still offered at local pizza joints back home, but that isn't found as often in Florida. We ate at Primo Pizza for the first time yesterday and we give it big thumbs up. First off, we were helped by the owner who was very friendly and accommodating. After taking our order, my 5-year-old daughter asked him if they had any coloring pages, and he told us he'd be right back. In a few minutes, he came back with coloring pages and crayons for all three of our kids. He then noticed that we had chosen a smaller table for our family of 5, and urged us to switch to a bigger table, which of course made for a much more comfortable experience. He and the rest of the staff we interacted with made it a solid customer service experience. The food was also really good. We ordered a 16-inch pizza, and a Stromboli for my wife (both priced very affordably). The pizza was plenty for the kids and me to share, and the Stromboli was also a pretty generous portion--we boxed leftovers for both when we finished eating. The food was so tasty and fresh, and it took less than 20 minutes for them to bring it all out. This is the kind of experience we look for when trying out a new restaurant. Primo knocked it out of the park, and we look forward to coming back next time we're in the neighborhood. read more

The first step to a problem is admitting that you have one...and on that note...my problem is I love pizza! That is, my family and I love pizza and we are self-proclaimed pizza snobs! I must say, Primo Pizza is as "close" to being as perfect as you can get and is by far the best pizza in this area. How can I not give them 5 stars? OK...some may argue since we all have different taste buds and even NY pizza is different and territorial. To me/us, if you are used to the pizza in Brooklyn, Long Island, etc...this is your place!!! The prices are fair and you get a lot of bang for your buck! They actually have a large menu and offer a lot more than pizza. We haven't tried anything else on the menu...yet!!! We always say we are going to try something else, but the pizza is so good we just end up salivating thinking about it and get pizza! There is indoor dining, carry-out/pickup, and a delivery option. The owners and staff are always super friendly when we go there to pick up. Doesn't matter who picks up in our family...we are always greeted fondly and get a chuckle from something. Moreover, they have a uniformed discount with proof of ID too. They are a family-owned business and considering the pandemic, the price hikes, etc....most folks are happy they weathered through it and are here. The store/restaurant is located in a small strip mall. Always easy to get into, but can't say the same for getting out of it. Depending on the time of day, it can be quite tricky and/or frustrating. You can go around the corner by the ACE Hardware store to proceed onto the back road, but depending on which way you turn and the time of day or the day of the week...it can present a different set of interesting issues. The parking can be tricky at times because quite frankly...there isn't enough of it. If you don't see a spot, just drive around the corner on the end by ACE hardware, you'll find a spot down there and it's just a few more steps. I wish they were located in Palencia Commons, but they aren't...so where there is a will, there is a way...and we always find parking and get that pizza home warm! Oh, forgot to mention...there is a restroom inside as well as a small bar. As for all the other pizza places...Fahgettaboudit...just come here for a smile and a slice! I called ahead and ordered pizza and salads. The food was ready quickly. When I walked in to pick it up, I wanted to stay and eat there! It was small and cozy and inviting. It just felt like a neighborhood place where I grew up in Boston. The pizza was delicious! The salad was fresh and the dressing was homemade. One of my favorites pizza joints in the area, typically sells out on weekends though so you need to get your order in asap during dinner rush. I'd describe their style as New York but with slightly more crispy crust. While there is a small dining area it's best use is for waiting to take your pies back home right when they are fresh out of the oven. read more

We absolutely love Primo pizza, best pizza in the Nocatee area by far. We have visit several times, both eating in and take out and never disappoints. The pizza is really tasty with a nice thin crust. You can tell they use quality products. The dinners are generous and you can certainly share them, however my favorite is the spinach and mushroom roll, served with marinara on the side, super tasty and packed with veggies! The only reason I don't give them a 5 stars it's because they don't deliver in Crosswater, or at least the didn't the last time a check, other than that, they offer solid New York style pizza, try them! read more

Everything is freshly made each day and they've got it down to a science, they can do 40 pies an hour. I had the Margarita pizza - my go to, And was very pleased! The sauce is sweet and you can taste the olive oil. Just the right amount of cheese, I'm a huge basil fan so I may ask for more next time. Great prices and great quality. First time trying Primo Pizza and I have to say we were pretty impressed. We ordered for pick up and our pizza was ready to go as soon as we got there. The first thing I liked was the price. $15.99 for a 18' inch pie which is the best prices in the area and $2.50 per topping. Now we only ordered one 18' pie with half pepperoni half cheese but let me say the amount of pepperoni they put on half is similar to what some places put on a full pie. The only issue I had is that I would have preferred the pizza cooked a little longer but that is maybe something I can ask for next time. This place is close to getting 5 stars from me and might have to go back soon. Only thing holding me back is that is more than double the distance from me then my other 2 local joints.
