We really do like Marcos pizza and have been picking one up almost every other week. Today, over an hour ago, I decided to order for delivery since I'm off this week with my kids. The confirmation stated 35 to 45 minutes. Decent decided to wait and call to check on it after the 65 minute mark when their online status showed me that they were still making it!! I really love Marco's Pizza. Every time my family and i order from there our pizza is fresh and delicious. The prices are great we usually have coupons and we also go for the specials. We usually order the Pepperoni or the Meat Specialty pizza. They are always tasty. I feel like the cheese they use really sets them apart from the other delivery places. I ordered a medium pep pizza and a Sprite online. The pizza arrived before the scheduled time but it wasn't that hot. It tasted pretty good. New pizza place in Kyle (as of March 2017). The place is very casual, not too big, just a few buffs and tables. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell! It's simply delicious. We ordered an extra- large pizza and it was plenty for 3, but it could feed 4 if you're not too hungry. The ingredients were fresh and the cheese was perfect. I could eat it again today! Got hungry for pizza so thought we'd give Marcos Pizza a shot. Thought the pizza was ver good but a bit pricey. Ordered three medium pizzas cost was way over $40. After the food was delivered we were looking at the flyer we received and noticed they were running a special on the large one topping pizza for less then the medium, it would of been nice if the girl that took our order would of mentioned that, good PR, since we weren't aware of the special. Called the shop at 8:10 after no delivery, after a few minutes on hold, an employee explained that they only had 4 drivers and were quite busy. My wife had to draw attention to the fact that it had been nearly 2 hours before the employee offered to comp the pizza if we would wait 30 more minutes. As a customer, I do not wish to hear an excuse, I want to hear a solution and have t be preemptive. If an order is going to take longer than expected, call or email me, everything asks for both nowadays, and let me know. Trying to hide a mistake behind excuses is not becoming of a business attempting to gain a foothold in a market. Finally got the pizza at 9:00. Three hours after NEVER receiving my delivery order last night, I went to bed appalled. By the first hour, I called to ask the whereabouts. I was told, "Driver experienced road rage and was shooken up, sent home early." Says Maritsa (manager). Thirty more minutes passes, I call again and the manager tells me the driver is "heading my direction." Another thirty minutes passes by, I call for a third time and a young man answers in confusion. "I don't see your order here, ma'am." I ask to speak to the manager again. This employee tells me, "I'm so sorry I can't deal with this," and hung up on me. I proceed to contact anyone at this store and the phone continues to ring and ring. At this point the store is now closed and I'm left wondering what is going on. I ended up calling dominoes after three hours. Marcos never showed up. If there's anything positive to grab from this ridiculously shocking service, the manager voided my payment the second time we spoke. At first I had sympathy for the driver, however at the end of the situation, I don't believe my delivery order was ever coming. I do believe I was lied to, disrespected, ignored, and not of importance to the company. What a disasterous pizza joint. Might I add I HAVE NEVER written a negative review in my life. Not an impressive start for this new business. I called in a carry out order and the girl that took my order answered the phone with "Hello" instead of the typical greeting one would expect when calling a business. So after figuring out that I had in fact called Marco's I then proceeded to place my order. The girl on the phone had no knowledge of the menu when asked what came on one of their pizzas, and she couldn't remember my order to save her life, had to repeat the order 4 times. Was told the order would be ready in about 25 minutes. I arrived at Marco's about 10 minutes later, knowing I was early. When I entered the place was empty except for one other customer, yet the kitchen seemed to be in the weeds, and yes I realize they deliver. I paid for my food and was told it would be about another 10 minutes, which I'm thinking no problem, they just opened so they're times are probably a little off. After waiting 30 minutes and still not receiving my order, I went to check on the status of my order. The girl behind the register, who I believe was the same dimwit that took my order, started looking through other orders that were ready, and she seemed confused. It's at this point another girl named Maya (who seems to be the one saving grace of this place) asked what my order was. I told her and she went to find out what was going on, and came back a few minutes later telling me that she was going to refund my money because THEY HAD NEVER PUT MY ORDER IN!!! I appreciated her refunding my money, but I told her to just cancel the order because I wasn't going to wait any longer. Maya is the one shining star in this otherwise depressing place. I don't know if she's a manager or not, if she's not, she needs to be since she was the only person that seemed to know what they were doing. On a separate note, after leaving I went down the street to M.O.D. Pizza. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes, and it's some of the best made to order pizza around. I decided to give them another chance and they brought me a double pepparoni pizza when I specifically ordered THE WORKS WITHOUT BACON...don't know how that got messed up AGAIN. They took it back and said they promised to bring me what I ordered CORRECTLY...yeah no...wrong again. My husband and I wanted to try some place new so we drove to Toss Pizzeria & Pub in Austin. It was the worse experience. They completely forgot our order after waiting 40 minutes. We complained to the bartender who waited on us said it would be right out and then placed the order. We left and came back to Kyle. We called in our order to Marco's for carry out and Naomi took our order. When she told us the price she then said she was going to give us a discount which was a pleasant surprise to us after what we experienced at the other place. I have gotten coupons in the mail a fee times, but never tried it. Today we decided to try it because we got a free cheesy bread with the little scratch off that was sent in the mail. When we tried to order, the person on the phone was extremely rude and then proceeded to tell us that we can't get the free cheesy bread because we were using the coupon that was sent WITH the scratch off. We then said that we would make a separate drink order so that we could get the cheesy bread but we're then told that we couldn't get it delivered with our pizza because it doesn't meet the required minimum for delivery. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We ended up having to pick up the orders and ended up paying over $11 for a pizza that was supposed to be $7.99 with the coupon. The 20oz Sprite was a whopping $2.50 so we decided to get a litter Sprite for $3 instead. These guys are rude and the pizza itself was mediocur at best. WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY HERE AGAIN! Here is a tip; don't send out scratch offs and coupons if you and your staff are going to be rude about you using them and teach your staff how to treat guests, especially when it's the first impression they are getting of your establishment.
