This is a newer location that just opened up a couple months ago. I placed an order over the phone as the coupon on the app wasn't working. The order taker was friendly. When I got to the store, the pizza wasn't ready yet, but with the too many associates in the store, they were all happy to help.

5 stars if you like to pay for a pizza that is 1/3rd crust. Otherwise....

Won't be returning. Pizza was 1/3rd crust and what cheese and sauce there was, wasn't very good. Was hoping it could be my new go-to pizza spot as it's close to me, but looks like the search continues...

The restaurant gave me and my husband champagne to try to comp this I suppose but would've been better if they could've seated us all together. We started with the crab cakes and arancini. The crab cakes were fine. The otter crust was crunchy and perfect. The arancini was stuffed with cheese, rice, and meat and it was delicious. They were also crunchy on the outside but so soft and good on the inside. I had the tagliatelle. The noodles were prepared perfectly. It was almost as if I was in Italy. Something I noticed in Italy was that the noodles were never cooked too softly. They were still more firm but edible and delicious and that's how they were prepared at this restaurant in Raleigh. The dish was excellent and very tasty. My husband had the medium rare Ribeye with peppercorn sauce over mashed potatoes with sautéed seasonal vegetables. This dish was prepared perfectly. It was a chilly night, so they had heaters facing the tables, and the outside matched the loveliness of the inside. I had the lasagna, which had that delicious classic Italian taste. The meal, cocktails, and wine were all perfect; my only gripe was the customer service. I felt like we were being rushed out, especially when the server interrupted us to ask if we were done.

This was a ton of food and felt very satisfying. I always love the vibe of Postino's, but this location was way too dark with only a small candle at the table. Service started off good and we were able to order our food without a problem. However, our server was done with his shift right after we ordered so we got a new server. Our new server had no idea we already ordered and was a little behind coming to our table for water refills. Despite that, we were in and out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. Postino is surrounded by other shops and restaurants, so they had a ton of parking available outside the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you want good food!

The Deets: I wanted to catch up with a friend over a weekday lunch and we scoped out Flour & Barrel in DTR to do just that. When entering in from the pretty nondescript exterior/entrance on the corner of North and Harrington Streets, it becomes a colorful well decorated bistro/bar type feeling inside which is welcoming. We were shown to our table next to one of the wide windows facing North St, I liked this table with lots of natural light and yes, I am a people watcher as well. The server took our drink orders and asked if we had any questions about the menu. The lunch menu is pretty succinct but well represented, offering focaccia sandwiches (sandos), small pastas (pasta handmade in-house), and salads. It also has a wine and craft beer selection also if needed. My friend went with the Chicken Parmesan Focaccia Sando (has pomodoro, mozzarella, and basil) with Kardashian Chopped Salad (made with romaine, salami, provolone, piquillo peppers, artichoke, and garbanzo) for a side while I chose the Radiatore small pasta selection. The Radiatore is described on the menu as "our version of carbonara but creamier / guanciale / egg" so naturally it caught my eye. I am usually pretty cut and dry about wanting carbonara to be the traditional type but since they stated upfront that this is their version, I was willing to give it a go. I am glad I did, as this pasta dish was great. The serving was the perfect size for lunch, plus I was able to add chicken to it as well. The sauce was creamy and delicious, going well with the al dente pasta. This meal was most satisfying and I would love to get this one again in the future. My friend really enjoyed the sando so much, he had originally planned to eat half and take the other half home...that didn't work out the way he planned as he devoured the whole sandwich there, it was that good. He also enjoyed the salad as well. Our server did well checking on us and making sure we had what we needed. I am so glad we decided to try out Flour & Barrel for lunch, it worked out perfectly and was a very enjoyable meal.
