    Greasy pizza

Pizza was 30 min late. Pizza and box saturated in grease. And they won't give me a refund. Only store credit!!! Like I want another greasy pizza...

Pizza sucks and it wasn't what i ordered. They also don't care to fix it. Save your money. You're better off going elsewhere.

These are a must try if you like wings. Chicken and pancake tacos were delicious. Pancakes had a touch of sweetness. Fried chicken inside with a spicy mayo. Topped with a strawberry salsa that worked well. 3 of these were very filling. Fun and very good. Son had the double wide footlong. Topped with sloppy Joe. After that the 2 sides were different. One had fried banana peppers. The other side more classic with toppings. Son said it was really good. Others had the ahi tuna salad. Tuna was perfectly rare. Salad was good and the wasabi dressing had great flavor without being too spicy. Service was quick even though jam packed. Also very friendly.

The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

It's a dark, cool vibe. It's definitely a popular place with tourist, but I'm telling you it's a must! My favorite starter is the fried lionsmane breaded & fried mushrooms (coated in citrus soy, sweet chil, scallions, & sesame seed) - YUM! Not a mushroom person? I swear you won't even know you're eating on - they're that good! For a main meal you have to get the chicken & waffle gyro!! It's fried chicken, herb mascarpone cream, honey poblano drizzle, waffle gyro, maple bourbon syrup & grits. I get the syrup on the side. Upgrade the grits to loaded, you won't regret it! This dish will seriously leave you thinking about it days later! Okay so here's the kicker with TOP... they have an 'Ordinary Intermission' from like 4-6 (I think longer on weekends) where they don't serve their full menu. It's a super limited menu with neither of my favorite items! It's also not a happy hour where the menu items are cheaper, just limited. I've popped in serval times during that time frame to grab an early dinner and ended up leaving. Sad times But again - this is a must for any foodie!

And it was the chicken was cooked to order, came out super hot, and was both crispy and juicy. The greens were super flavorful and needed no added spices. I'm not a big cornbread guy but took a couple bites anyway. The jalapeños weren't over powering and offset the sweetness a little. My server was amazing!!! She greeted me as soon as I walked with lively smile and great attitude. At first I was confused if it was fast casual or full service as they takeout section is in the center of the restaurant. She explained that you can do both, so opted to stay for lunch. I wish I could recall name, because she is worth requesting.

Looking back, we probably should've kept right on walking. We ordered the fried chicken, potato wedges, red rice, New Orleans rice, and cabbage, jalapeno cornbread and pecan cornbread. Unfortunately, the only things we actually enjoyed were the fried chicken and the potato wedges. Once again, it was an epic fail. The cabbage tasted like it had been boiled in plain water with absolutely no seasoning. Both the red rice and the New Orleans rice reminded us of Minute Rice or Uncle Ben's microwavable rice--bland, lacking flavor, and nothing like the rich, seasoned rice dishes we were expecting. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the potato wedges were cooked perfectly, but those two items weren't enough to save the meal. We came hoping for authentic Southern comfort food, but left disappointed. Sadly, this is one restaurant we won't be adding to our list of places to revisit.
