We went to Milton's on a busy Friday night. We were greeted in a friendly manner by many of the staff when we arrived. They had a $8 margarita special. I had a strawberry one. I could taste the alcohol and it was yummy. I trued the cielo pasta. It is a seafood combination over a bed of pasta with red sauce. It was delicious. It had clams, shrimp, calamari. Everything was cooked perfectly and it was served super hot. I fell in love. This is my new favorite meal. I had been getting the old bay shrimp for years but yum. I have a new favorite. Maybe it was an off day or maybe I just put too much trust in Wake Forest reviews again. My friend and I went during lunch. We were greeted warmly and our waiter was outstanding. He was hard working, always gave refills, and was kind. He was definitely the highlight of our visit. The ambiance is that of an old-school pizza parlor from the 90s, but it didn't feel nostalgic, it felt boring. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. I ordered the Milton's Special pizza and it was fine. Nothing to rave about but nothing to want to come back to, either. My friend ordered a pizza as well. It's nice that they have GF options. She wasn't too impressed with her choice, either. It tasted like it could have come from the freezer at the grocery store, it was very generic in flavor. We ordered pizza from Milton's and it was really good. We ordered the Margarita pizza and the Chicken Parmesan pizza ToGo. Both were made with fresh mozzarella cheese but I have to say that the Chicken Parmesan pizza was so good! Two pizzas came out to $50 before tips so definitely expensive but very good on the quality. Walked in to a cute and appropriately decorated place. Greeted after a moment and seated immediately. Our server Chloe came over and took our drink order. We ordered our drinks and she returned with them. We told Chloe we were visiting from out of town and gave us complimentary garlic dots. Our table ordered a small specialty pizza called "The Stanley Cup" it had Canadian bacon, crispy bacon bits, chicken, and cheddar and mozzarella cheese and drizzled with a buffalo sauce, 10 piece bbq wings with ranch dip, I ordered the basil pesto tortellini with salmon and asked for the Kalamata olives on the side and it came with garlic bread and lastly one person ordered a 8 inch build your own pizza with pepperoni, chicken, olives, mushrooms, onions, garlic aioli sauce instead of red sauce, and Parmesan cheese. My salmon was cooked perfectly and the pasta and sauce was delicious. I did add a little salt but I don't like olives so since I gave them to another person in my party if they had been in my pasta that probably would have cured the salt issue. It was still amazing! The garlic bread that came with it was grilled just not buttered enough so I asked for extra. The wings I got one of were good and sauced and had a crispy exterior and juicy inside. I didn't taste the build your own pizza but he ate it all so that says it was good. I did taste a slice of the Stanley and it was good. The buffalo I could handle and I don't care for spicy but it wasn't too much for me. I would say it could have been cooked just a little longer. Still delicious and flavorful!! The garlic dots!!! Wow, I wasn't aware that I had not updated my review since 2020! I went for the lunch buffet. The buffet includes a good salad selection, both Italian and non Italian items (vegetables, grilled chicken, beef). The Italian choices include lasagna, several pasta and sauce choices, plus ample pizza combos. There's also very good dessert options. Staff is efficient, prompt and polite. My family's favorite restaurant for the last 15 years. Milton's has welcomed my daughter since her birth and is now her favorite place as well. We know the servers by name and I can't speak highly enough of the service they provide us and the love they show my daughter. Especially Bri, Caitlyn and manager Steven! My 1st time going to this restaurant. Placed the order over the phone. When I got there, I stood at the counter for a very long time. During my wait, 5- 6 workers looked me in my eyes and said absolutely nothing. May I take your order, may I help you,, nothing said. The guy behind me even asked if I had been helped yet so he had to have been standing behind me for awhile also. This was my 1st and was my last time going to this restaurant. I went here about a week ago. I love this location. It was clean and had plenty of room. I didn't feel like the table next to me could hear my conversation. Very spacious. The parking was not hectic and they offer plenty of parking. The staff was phenomenal. Very friendly. Even my grandson commented on the staff being nice and friendly. The manager, Steve (maybe Steven) was awesome. He walked around and greeted tables. He asked how everything was, etc. I have NEVER had that at the other location. The food here tasted way better than Six Forks Rd. It was seasoned. They kept the buffet full and the food was fresh. No old food was on the buffet. Wow Milton's definitely surprised me. I was hoping for a good meal and Milton's exceeded my expectations! I ordered takeout online. The menu is easy to read and packed with options. It takes a while to get through the menu. Eventually we decided on the margarita pizza, shrimp power bowl, and chicken Athena. The order was ready upon arrival, accurate, and brought to my car with their convenient curbside takeout option. The employee who brought the order to the car was friendly and efficient. That's a big plus. We ordered the cheese pizza , meatballs and we put the meatballs on the cheese pizza. I like black spots on my pizza well done. I had to put it in the oven on broil for a few. Now their crust is something to talk about. Crunchy soft nice flavor thoroughly enjoyed and I really like their cheese it reminded me of the vintage Godfathers Pizza in the 90's. They mozzarella cheese tasted homemade and like real mozzarella not that stuff made with skim milk. The good stuff. The meatballs y'all needed some work no flavor but good texture and the sauce it was in was okay. I heard that the are really know for their pasta so I'm looking forward to going back and trying it out. This a place I would go back to for sure with descent prices I went to the second location I will be attending the original location next. Also, if you want to they let you bring your own toppings that's customer service. I asked if the had turkey pepperoni the said no but told us if we bring it they would put it on our pizza a cooked that bad boy. Don't get no better than that. I may be biased since I used to work here before the pandemic, but it's definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. Sauces are made from scratch. Pizzas are made from scratch. They use fresh Ingredients. They used to have lasagna stuffed peppers. Ugh my favorite! But I also love the garlic dots as an appetizer with either a chicken pita, the salad bar, Alfredo or the mac and cheese. It's so good and yummy. Anytime I get a craving we end up here! The fudge temptation and the tiramisu are my favorite desserts here!!! So many yummy options. Definitely not going to get this quality at Olive garden or carrabas! They offer true curbside pickup where you never leave your vehicle. Sweet, right? The management team is excellent. I am going to give Milton 3 stars based on my last 2 visits. The first one was a 4 because we ordered the Buffett. Lots of pizza, salads, pasta, even ribs and chicken. And of course cakes and pies .... The ratio quality price for a Buffett is right that's why they get a 4 and I will probably come back for the Buffett. In regards to my second visit a couple of weeks ago I decided to try their actual menu, I was really craving good Italian food but unfortunately this wasn't it ... in fact it was kinda awful. The bolognese sauce probably came out of a can. The chicken Alfredo was so so .... We also got a Grilled chicken pita sandwich which wasn't that good. Went last week, 4 of us. Three had burgers, all asked for lettuce, tomato, onion. One ordered med rare, one med well, one well done. All 3 showed up with zero condiments, all cooked so long they looked like flat pieces of pavement. Also, the menu says half pound burgers, these looked like regular McDonalds burgers. Should have sent it all back, instead we asked for the condiments and didn't realize how they were cooked. Waitress sent another woman over to see....guess she didn't believe us? We got a plate of tiny tomatoes, little onions and shredded lettuce to share. I love Raleigh Milton's, but this Wakefield location is terrible. We should have sent it all back and left. read more
