    SIMPLY GRILLED LAMB CHOPS
    Lauren B.

Strong 2.5. It was just ok. No to many diners. Waitress was nice. But overall mediocre. For drinks we had a margarita, my husband enjoyed. I had the espresso martini forgot the name but it was regular. Cornbread was nice and hot and buttery. Probably the best the thing we had. Food took a questionably long time for minimal diners and was not hot upon receipt. That was the most disappointing. Husband ordered lamb chops. Out of 4. Jops he enjoyed 2, the rest was extremely fatty. I had the seafood Piccadilly, crab, lobster and shrimp. I would say the shrimp was prominent in a spaghetti based sauce. Was hoping to enjoy more from this black owned restaurant but unfortunately don't have to return. We shared collard greens, were warned they were vinegary, they were pretty good but again not hot.

Birthday dinner and this spot was on my list. We had a reservation however there was a short wait for our table. There was also a short wait for server however he was worth it. He was attentive, kind and patient with a big smile. When we return, we are definitely sitting in his section. Appetizer- Peach glazed ribs (fantastic) and Jollof rice balls(did not enjoy) Entrees- Spicy okra and ribeye with potatoes. Drinks- Kings Legacy and crown of courage were typical Atlanta drinks... overpriced and meh! Overall a great experience and our waiter made it fabulous. We would go back!

First time coming here for a very good friend of mine's birthday celebration gathering. She had reservations for eight on a Saturday evening. Since it was a nice weekend everyone and their auntie's cousin's friend were outside. With that being this location was packed to capacity. I unfortunately got there late because it took me a minute to find parking! PLEASE NOTE: When traveling or going to any restaurant on Edgewood there's no private lot parking! You will have to find parking on the street or find a valet. Around the fourth or fifth time looking for parking I finally found decent valet parking! I would advise everyone coming here to give yourself about thirty minutes prior to secure parking. On another note the waiter/host was amazing! So kind, hospitable, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. A true gem! I believe her name was Naya and she was great! She made sure I got all of my food and drink! The food was incredible and fresh! I had to wait about 40 minutes after placing my order to get my food. I ordered the lamb chops and macaroni and cheese! Whew! One thing about two things for sure, someone's grandma was back there cooking that food! Best part about this location. I would literally come back for their lamb chops alone. The drink was very good I got the peach Rita.

I went for the Sunday brunch. It was delicious, and the price was just right. Love the music and the vibe when it starts warming up.It'll be nice to sit outside, but they have the inside air coming in pleasant atmosphere. All the food was good.I felt like a little pig trying everything so I couldn't even try because it was just so much where you gain a few pounds, so don't go counting calories. The service was good with the exception of our second table were Seven - seemed to be having a bad day and questioned the age of my granddaughter, where she did not look older than twelve (she's11).He upheld his stance, saying he's only going by policy claiming we needed to show proof of age from her school login or something. When the situation was rectified, he didn't even apologize. Otherwise I will go back and make sure that he is not my server. Then, my rating will be 5

Attended Mother's Day brunch and we really enjoyed the buffet serve style food. The server was nice and very attentive. The ambiance of the bar and patio were great on a nice warm day. 2 drawbacks were the music was too loud where it was difficult to hear my mom. Additionally we had to wait several minutes for clean plates. And be prepared for valet parking for $8 next door. I'd probably return to try their dinner menu as every food item for brunch was good

FRIED CHICKEN, SHRIMP GUMBO (WITH CHORIZO) on my plate. Wifey had a mixture of breakfast items.

Easter brunch at this buffet style restaurant. The food was excellent and freshly prepared with breakfast and lunch options. The service was pretty good but mainly for the drinks and coffee since it is buffet. The ambiance is very casual and laid back for the surrounding area of 4th Ward. Only negative is the parking situation an be risky. Come early and please do the reservation to ensure you have a good experience.

First time in Atlanta. The vibe was great. The food was good. The cornbread was delicious. The ribs for appetizer were perfect to share for the table. The fish was a little under seasoned. The Piccadilla was chef's kiss good! Our server was a doll and really knew the menu which I loved. My only feedback is that they need to buss/reset tables before the following course comes out. We each had a plate with our appetizer rib bone sitting in front of us until the dessert menus were dropped. I was really confused and kept waiting to see when a server, food runner, or busser was going to notice bones just sitting next to our food for the entire meal.

Chef Marcus has been one of my favorite chefs since I discovered the Food Network back in grad school. I was so excited when I learned that he was opening up a restaurant here in Atlanta. Upon entering I was so happy to see the decor. It was very nice. Very kind of old school retro homage to and good music; it was a very nice space. We ordered a couple of different dishes and shared everything and the food overall was quite good. I felt like some of the drinks/cocktails missed the mark and our server was nice, but they could have been a little bit more knowledgeable about the menu. Overall though, this was a good experience and I would definitely go back and try out some other things.

The aesthetic of the restaurant was artsy and well lit. The customer service was good, the food came out cold and the waitress quickly corrected the order by having it remade. I appreciate they didn't do auto gratuity like many Atlanta restaurants, but instead allowed us to tip above the 20% on our own. This was my second visit, I remember the food tasting better. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I'd again, but I'd ask more questions about the menu items before ordering.

I'm really angry!! Why didn't anyone tell me about this place??? How could I have not known that the best brisket on the planet was being cooked on a blazing furnace in thw Ols Fourth Ward?! Well, I know now and I am doing my job by making sure that you know about it. I knew that this place is special when I walked in the door. An old converted garage is now funky restaurant on Edgewood Avenue. When you come in, the wonderful smoke smell grabs you and seduces you into a chance. Half of you is in your childhood remembering when uncle Joe was on the barbecue grill. The other half is in the future, imagining yourself eating something wonderful. Then your eye is caught by the fiery furnace out of which magical food appears. The decor is modern and kitschy and perfect. I was in love! Server was gracious and friendly. He he was attentive and was always where you needed him doing what you needed him to do when you needed him to do it. I'm so sorry that I didn't get his name... But you will know him because he has the best glasses you ever saw! Of course it was the brisket sandwich talk with the most delicious peaky barbecue sauce... Oh my God I won't even talk about it. You just have to go try it for yourself. It was amazing. Our visit was topped off when we had an opportunity to meet the executive chef, Gary Caldwell. Such a nice guy! He was very friendly and stayed to talk a while. My dining companions and I decided that our bucket list now involves visiting all of Marcus' restaurants. He hired Gary Caldwell so clearly he knows talent when he sees it! I can't wait to go back. We're already making plans... if you're smart I'll see you there!

In town for a concert and my friend suggested we try this place. I had no idea it was a buffet. I would have skipped because I don't feel I eat enough for a buffet style restaurant. It was $45/person. I think that's fair-especially the variety they offer. They have seafood, beef, pork, chicken, and lots of sides. They even have a grill outdoors that offered prawns and crab legs (but I couldn't find any butter for dipping) It's very loud in here. It was hard to have small talk with my table mates. I wish there were more dessert options. The banana pudding was far from actually banana pudding. The service was great! I did try a cocktail (crown apple, cranberry, ginger beer and I think peach schnapps) it was terrible. I love all those ingredients but it did it taste good at all. The waitress did say their dinner menu is really good! Maybe I'll give it a try next time I'm in town.

My husband and I are huge fans of cooking shows and Marcus Samuelsson is one of our favorite celebrity chefs, hands down. Yes, we are those people, and we were so excited to try one of his restaurants! We had a reservation and got seated right away. The ambiance is super bustling and fun, with a wall of roller skates, shadowboxes behind the bar with Marcus-like hats and other little knickknacks, and a little shrine to Prince at the kitchen pass. Our server was a little on the quiet side, but he still was excellent at everything, including questions and recommendations. He told us that everyone loves to start with the M's Corn Bread because it's that good, and OH MY - he was so right. It was almost a dessert, with a huge dollop of sweet honey butter on top and salty giant cornbread cake below. Yum! We also got a few heartier starters, as this was our big blow-out meal before we left Atlanta. Our first appetizer was the Deviled Eggs. I consider myself a deviled egg aficionado, and these were top notch. Creamy, unctuous, and with little chitlins on top for some crunch. Smaller app, but I definitely recommend. We next had the Lobster Gnocchi, and WOW. It was a large portion of pillowy lobster gnocchi, chunks of lobster itself, and a huge bed of lobster butter that was almost a lobstery marinara. This one was more on the expensive side, but totally worth it! When we decided on entrees, we got two different things to share so we could each try both. I got the B&G Smashburger, because I hadn't had a burger in Atlanta yet on our trip, and it has the restaurant's name in it, so it had to be good, right? Yes! It was so perfectly cooked, and had a delicious onion jam on it that gave it a slight sweetness, along with a garlic aioli for a little tang to counterbalance the jam. It also came with some very well seasoned fries, so it's a lot of food! We got a side of the Mac and Cheese to split also, made with sharp cheddar and toasted on top to make a cheesy crust topping. My mouth is watering again just talking about that mac and cheese. My husband went on the lighter side for his entree, and got the Miso Salmon. The salmon filet was grilled to perfection, and came atop a bed of crab fried rice and a red curry sauce. And it came with a pea puree that would put the Top Chef cheftestants to shame. Neither of us could finish either of our entrees, but we were not sad about that - we were saving room for dessert! Again, we chose two to share. I got the Banana Pudding, and it was heavenly for this banana lover. It had the banana pudding itself, obviously, but the jar it came in was lined with salted caramel, vanilla wafers, and vanilla cream on top! The different components gave it a great crunch to counterbalance the soft pudding, and the salty/sweet combination was amazing too with the salted caramel cutting all the sweet parts! Our second dessert that we shared was the Sticky Bun. This tasted like Christmas in a little bun! Cinnamon, pecan, other spiced flavors - and topped with vanilla ice cream. If you're a fan of spice cake or cinnamon, this one is for you. Sooooo good. So if you couldn't tell from my novel of a review, we had the absolute best time at Marcus B&G in Atlanta. We left with VERY full stomachs (and empty wallets LOL) but we had no regrets. If you're a fan of Marcus or just a fan of really great food, definitely head to Edgewood and dine at Marcus Bar and Grille!

Food was exceptional; the dj kept the vibe high but never had the music blaring so much that would prevent normal table conversations. The drinks were blended perfectly---Highly Recommended

We started with the Chargrilled Louisiana Oysters, which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious--honestly, the best I've ever had. The Volcano Roll was also great--generous in size and perfect for sharing. It's listed as having "spicy crab," but I didn't find it spicy at all (a plus for me!). If you want more heat, wasabi is served on the side. For entrees, I had the Salmon Teriyaki and my husband had the Braised Beef. The reason for 3 stars is that the food was mid (I would love to give 3.5 stars if I could). Some dishes stood out - the peanut noodles, the lobster with the same noodles, salmon crudo, and wings were pretty good too. Everything else was either not great or very mid - the platter, calamari, salmon was not crispy skin and was overcooked, fries, sardine bruschetta. We spent $400 with tip and I only liked or remembered about 20% of what we ordered. Drinks are beautiful and creative. It would be great for a drink and sexy vibes, but I would go somewhere else to eat. I forgot to take pictures (OOPS)

We placed a reservation online and arrived a little early to fight the ATL traffic, and our table was still ready for us. The standout at this location to us was the service. Our server, Erin was insanely knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were catered to our taste perfectly. I had the chicken, which was seared beautifully while still remaining juicy. I also had a cocktail which tasted carefully crafted. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as well, the decor was hip and right in our style. Overall a very positive experience- thanks to erin and everyone working that night for your attentiveness!

First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

Now this was a treat…read more I had no idea Little Spirit was tucked away where it is--I usually frequent Delbar just up the street--so stumbling upon this spot was such a pleasant surprise. I know the word gets overused, but it truly was a whole vibe. What I loved most is that it's the kind of place where everyone feels welcome. There's no pressure, no strict dress code--just a come-as-you-are energy, and people genuinely receive you that way. Within five minutes of being there, I already felt comfortable. Everyone was so friendly--the bartenders, the people around us, even the random interactions felt warm and easy. The space itself is really cool too. They have artwork featuring icons like Prince, Tupac, and Biggie, which added to the overall atmosphere. We ordered the King Peach (I believe it had bourbon--I did take a picture of the menu, though it's a little cut off), and it was really good. Smooth, flavorful, and easy to sip. They're open until 2 AM, so it's a great spot whether you're grabbing a drink with friends, on a date, or even just stopping by solo to soak in the energy. It's one of those places where you can just be. I'd love to make this a regular spot--definitely somewhere I can see myself coming back to at least once a month.

They have seating inside as well as some outdoor patio seating with heaters. I love their cocktails here! I haven't had a bad one yet and I was blown away by their slushie. I'm not even a fan of frozen drinks but I got to try their version of an alcoholic Wendy's milkshake and it was incredible. I hope to come back before they switch it out so I can order that. The bartenders are amazing! Super friendly and helpful and they make incredible drinks. Don't forget to check out their happy hour Monday thru Friday until 8 pm (I believe).
