The staff was incredibly friendly, and the ambience set the stage for what we hoped would be an exceptional meal. Unfortunately, while the atmosphere and hospitality were top-notch, the food fell short of expectations. We began our meal with the Honey Glazed Chicken Wings, which our server proudly noted were made with honey from the restaurant's beehives. While the glaze had a pleasant flavour, the chicken was disappointingly dry and overcooked, making for a lacklustre start. We opted for the Spicy Cherry Tomato Spaghettini, Lemon Mushroom Rigatoni, and Florentine Ravioli for our main courses. The spaghettini and rigatoni had enjoyable flavours, but the ravioli's filling was oddly runny, likely due to separation during cooking. We expected something exceptional since each pasta dish was priced at over $30. Instead, the average consumer could easily find similar dishes at a mid-range Italian restaurant for nearly half the cost. The biggest disappointment came with the highly anticipated Huckleberry Cobbler. After waiting nearly 30 minutes and checking in with our server--who assured us it was "being fired and would be out soon"--the dessert finally arrived. However, it was shockingly thin, about a quarter-inch thick, lacking the rich, berry-filled indulgence we had envisioned. Instead of a warm, juicy cobbler with a golden, sugary crust, what we received resembled something from a supermarket bakery. Marelle had the potential to be a standout dining destination with its inviting atmosphere and friendly service, but at these premium prices, the food needs to match. I was visiting my cousin, who is staying at the hotel, and we decided to relax by the pool and order food. To our surprise, full-service dining wasn't available by the pool. While this isn't necessarily the restaurant's fault, it was disappointing that a hotel of this caliber wouldn't offer food service in such a prime lounging area. Since Marelle was conveniently located nearby and had a promising atmosphere, I decided to place a to-go order instead. My cousin ordered a well-done burger (cut in half), and I opted for the salmon tacos. The wait for our food was longer than expected, and when we finally received our order, the disappointment continued. First, my cousin's burger was not cut in half, and when we did so ourselves, we found it completely pink inside--far from well-done. My salmon tacos were equally underwhelming, lacking flavor and any sort of excitement. Given that our total was $60, the quality and taste were simply unacceptable. When I went back upstairs to have my cousin's order corrected, I had to wait quite a while for a manager. The staff, though somewhat friendly, were not particularly apologetic. Instead, they just said, *"I'll cook it,"* which made me suspect they simply reheated the same burger. It was returned to us in under five minutes. Considering it was a weekday with only a few guests dining in, I expected better service and attention to detail. I would like to start this review by expressing my gratitude to Beni and the amazing team at Marelle on 1/25/25. I had the pleasure of hosting my bridesmaid proposal in a gorgeous private room within the restaurant, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. I have been to Marelle multiple times and have enjoyed myself with each reservation. Prior to my visit on the 25th, I was in communication with Beni regarding the logistics of the day and requesting permission to bring in outside decorations to set up the table for my guests. He was extremely helpful and had excellent communication throughout the entire planning process. Since my party was small (just five guests), I did not have a preset menu. However, I was allowed to arrive an hour before my event to set up, which was perfect. I was able to decorate the space with balloons, florals, table linens, a complete table setting, and a welcome sign. Additionally, I was allowed to bring my own bottle of champagne (with a corkage fee). The staff was beyond accommodating, and I truly didn't find myself wanting for anything. My server was attentive, assisted with the table setup, and ensured I had everything I needed throughout the event. After brunch, we were able to leave behind any disposable items, allowing us to continue our day without worrying about cleanup. I cannot thank this team enough for making this special moment for my friends so smooth and enjoyable. Valet parking is available for $10 with validation, and from the moment we arrived, the service, from valet to host to waiter was welcoming. The interior is stunning, with a soft, peach-toned theme indoors that I absolutely loved. Since we were hoping for a more photogenic spot, our waiter was accommodating and let us choose. He was so nice and upbeat! For drinks, we ordered their signature Star of the Sea served in a fun seashell cup, and the California Dreamin'. For brunch, we tried the crispy calamari, smoked salmon tartine, and breakfast sandwich. The presentation was vibrant and colorful, and the portions were impressively generous. Made a reservation 3 days ago for today my friends showed up early to check in and let them know we're here when they're ready and were blatantly ignored by the INCREDIBLY RACIST host to then be told "we'll are you gonna sit or what bc there's a line behind you" I'm sorry were we supposed to seat ourselves??? She was incredibly rude and and my friend faced multiple racist micro aggressions to the point where she told my black friend "I don't want to speak with you only her" and pointed at my white friend.
