I wanted to like this place so much but unfortunately it was not very promising. We went on a Sunday late lunch and it was mostly run by a skeleton crew. There was only one lady seating and serving and taking orders and making drinks so therefore it was quite a slow service. Food was decent certain menu items definitely came with more flair and flavor than others. Their specialty is definitely the Hungarian food which is only a quarter of the menu the drinks were delicious though.

Fried fish specialty taco. Delicious and well worth $4

We used to be big fans, then they started to decline. I believe they went thru an ownership change during that decline and we found ourselves removing Margaritas from our regular rotation. We decide to give them another try tonight and so glad we did. While it was late for dinner and the place was almost empty, service was spot on. Chips and salsa were solid as was the cheese dip we ordered. I opted for the chimichanga poblana and it came out hot, fresh, and perfect. My wife's steak burrito was huge which always ends up as lunch the next day. It looks like Margaritas is BACK! I believe they have gone thru another ownership change, but 100% sure. The interior has added booths from when we last visited so it's definitely been a while. We will be adding them back into our rotation for sure.

We came here on a Sunday at about 130. We were sat promptly and brought chips and salsa I ordered the tacos margarita and my husband ordered tacos mariachi. It was very hot inside of the restaurant. I do not think the AC was working and the waitress even mentioned about how hot it was It took a half hour to get our food. Nobody came back to offer us more chips or salsa during thewait The plates, when they did come out, we're so hot you couldn't touch them. The rolled tacos were so greasy and oily you could not eat the tortilla unless you use the knife and fork because it certainly was not able to be picked up without falling apart. The was beans and rice were good. I've never had something that greasy. I'm not even understanding where all the grease came from but ‍ I will not be back.

This was a spur of the moment stop after my daughters swim meet and it was 10/10. We were acknowledge quickly and seated. The server was dong an outstanding job handling the entire dinning room and bar on his own. He left no one wanting anything. Our food was outstanding and came out piping hot. I would highly recommend the molcejeta. Presentation was perfect and the taste was stellar. This is a must try if you Are looking for a fast sit down place. Our only complaint was the lack of AC.

Waiter said after the fact "NO SUBSTITUTING " but didn't tell us this when ordering!

The food was good however the service was not good- went during lunch hours on Friday. Ordered from lunch menu. My friend ordered Poblanas Enchilada- good- I ordered 2 shrimp flour taco's a la carte as it wasn't on the menu- I received the tacos with nothing but 4 shrimp with sides of beans and rice, that according to menu was included with entrees. As I ordered a la carte I was charged $3.99 for beans and $3.99 for rice, $11.99 for taco's. $20 for what should have been $12.99 with beans/rice included. First check I received was for $75 for 3 entrees bc I ordered shrimp instead of beef. Waiter corrected to 2 entrees so charged a la carte $3.99 for each bean/rice menu listed for $2.98. 11.99 for a la carte 5 shrimp.

I have to say tonight was extremely disappointing. The server we had not only got the order incorrect but the service was beyond poor. She did not offer any drink refills, she did not offer any chips refills and it took her over half the meal before she finally brought a small container of sour cream that they charged me two dollars for. To top it off this evening , they decided to bleach the table next to us while we were eating - nothing worse than inhaling those horrid Chemicals that are extremely overpowering when are you eating. The stench from the chemicals was so strong my eyes started burning. It was in very poor taste to use such strong chemicals. Well people are trying to eat. For what we pay tonight, the value, and the service, beyond disappointing Out of for the server. I'm not going to use the name, but I will say it'll be a long time before I ever go back after the lack of service, overpowering chemicals, and over priced meal.

    Lunch Fajitas

Ordered the lunch fajitas with chicken. They were ok, but not very warm. Waited an extra 5 minutes for the tortillas which also weren't very warm. When we got our bill, we noticed in small print at the bottom of the bill there would be a 3.99% fee if paying by credit card. I understand prices are going up and these are tough times. But, charging a fee if paying by card should be mentioned or posted very clearly so it's not a surprise. My friend ordered the fajita nachos and said they were very good. So, not a horrible meal but also not a great meal.

Taco Tuesday with friends was a blast at Margaritas. My friend invited me to meet up with her. This was my first time eating here so I wasn't sure what to expect. We started with fresh salsa and chips. The salsa was a little on the spicy side so I was hooked! I ordered two tacos and a frozen mango margarita. With a name like margaritas how could you not order one? The frozen margarita was delicious and smooth! My fish taco was one of the best I have ever tasted. The fish was moist and delicious which had to do with the perfect seasoning added by the chef. There was also a sauce on top that took the taco to the next level. I would absolutely recommend trying the fish taco! I'm not sure the name of the second taco I ordered but it had some type of beef. I was not as impressed with this taco as the meat was a little chewy. Flavors were good but the meat was a little overcooked. Our server was friendly and efficient. The restaurant had a nice size bar with lots of seating. Also lots of booths for family style seating. I would absolutely try Margaritas again but next time I will stick with the fish tacos. And I would like to try their guacamole.

I was told to stop at this restaurant from someone when I was ubering in Jacksonville one day. so I decided to go one night. The first too crazy busy my server was very polite knowledgeable and helpful definitely checked on me enough times because sometimes that's a problem with restaurants. The ambience of the place was very laid-back, fun place with very colorful decorations and art. The art on the walls were one of my favorite things very beautiful pieces. Looks like they have karaoke there also. And last but not least the food. It was very good. I would consider pretty authentic Mexican food I always ask for a house hot sauce that is very spicy when I go to Mexican restaurants due to me being a spicy enthusiast. Well this restaurant delivered with their house habanero which you can see in the picture besides the salsa. It was very nice and spicy for me I'm always pleased when a restaurant has a house hot sauce that they make! Will definitely frequent this restaurant.

My fried chicken sandwich was well-cooked but a little salty. My husband's mango habanero wings weren't spicy, but he still liked them. Drinks were hit or miss. The spicy margarita had heat but no sweetness (not my favorite), and the espresso martini leaned more bitter than balanced. I also got a chocolate martini that was good. My hubby ordered a Elijah Craig whisky flight for $24. He liked the opportunity to explore different whiskeys. The service was good considering homeboy was tending the bar AND running around being the waiter for every table (he was the only waiter/bartender). He held it down! Bathrooms were clean, automatic points there. Overall, a solid spot for a fun night out.

When we first arrived, the hostess stayed on her phone for quite a while before acknowledging us and simply told us to sit wherever. After being seated, one of the waitresses stopped by only once to ask where the rest of our party was. Once they arrived, we were not served at all during the entire hour we sat at the table. We eventually had to go to the bar just to get drinks, and the bartender was the only friendly and attentive person we encountered the whole night. We also tried to play pool. We got dollars from the bartender and went to a table, but a very intoxicated woman claimed the table was "hers," even though she had not paid and was waiting for someone else to give her money for it. No staff stepped in to manage the situation. After one drink, we decided it was best to leave. Unfortunately, the lack of service and overall atmosphere made this a very poor experience.

Just some information to know it is primarily a bar, they only have about 6 appetizers to order from. The appetizers were good and came out very quickly. The first thing that caught my attention was the amount of times they put food down at our table we did not order after about the 3rd or 4th time of this happening it seemed to be something they do to up the bill in hopes you don't notice. The second thing that thoroughly surprised and bothered me was after ordering another round of drinks, the second the drink was put at our table the waitress came over to check us out. No one had asked for the bill so we were all confused as to why we were being told we needed to close out, especially since we had just ordered more drinks. The waitress tells our party they have another reservation coming and they need our table... We all scramble quickly to leave so there's no issue and once we were outside that's when we realized there was no time limit on our table nor did anyone ask to close out the tab. Thankfully the hula dancers and our own group made the experience great however this place is very clearly a money grab and should not be accepting more reservations than can be handled as it completely ruined the end of our experience.

We ordered food including Aloha Sliders, Huli Huli Wings , and Furikake Fries. Food was good, would've loved more of the glaze on the mini burgers tho! The drinks we ordered included Mai Tai (rum based w/ orange ) and Halekulani (bourbon with pineapple orange and lemon) , these were delicious. A bit on pricey side but strong! But, you're paying for the presentation and the atmosphere! If you've ever been to the old tiki lounge off baymeadows from years past, this one is much better! The entire staff is so cool. I'll let the photos from other reviews do the talking, but if you enjoy a good backstory, ask about the history of the space. My mission for the night was simple: end the evening with a great gin cocktail. I started with the Donna Bella from the menu. It was well made, but I thought the bitters were a little too forward for my taste. Next, I asked for an off-menu modification: a Water Lily for Teresa, but made with Roku Gin. It was a strong contender--aromatic, balanced, and beautifully floral. If you're a fan of a French 75, this is a fun cocktail to explore. It's less citrus-forward and leans into a floral profile with a character that's hard to compare to anything else. For the final round, I went with bartender's choice. Mick asked a few questions about my flavor preferences and absolutely nailed it. They crafted a cocktail with Roku gin, snap pea cordial, aloe liqueur, egg white, lemon simple, mint, and citrus that was easily the highlight of the night. Fresh, layered, and memorable, it's a drink that deserves a permanent spot on the menu....Mission accomplished. If you're willing to wander beyond the barbershop business front and you consider yourself a spirit explorer, Volstead is well worth the visit. Go for a round...or two. If you're local, this could easily become your staple spot. For what it is, strong craft cocktail bar option. Bartenders choice is the way to go.

The space is a good size, with plenty of TVs for watching sports. I can only imagine how packed and lively it must get on a big fall football Saturday. We started our meal with the Fresh Table Golden Guac, ordered "all the way." It included tomatoes, onions, fresh cilantro, jalapeño, sea salt, freshly squeezed lime, and, of course, freshly peeled avocado. This is a simple dish, but it delivers a not-so-simple flavor. The jalapeño adds heat, the onion brings savory depth, and the cilantro and lime give it a bright, fresh finish. Trust me, you do not want to miss this starter. My wife ordered the fish tacos, which came with three white fish tacos on flour tortillas topped with cabbage, pico de gallo, and avocado. They were served with rice and black beans. These were some of the best fish tacos we have ever enjoyed. The pieces of fish were large, perfectly fried, and had just the right amount of breading. My wife also really liked mixing the rice and black beans together. Unfortunately, I ordered the Tacos de Borrego: three slow-simmered lamb tacos with onions and what I believe were parsley sprigs. This dish really missed the mark. The lamb was very dry, which made it seem significantly overcooked. On top of that, two of my tacos had large chunks of bone in them. The dish was served with Arroz Amarillo (yellow rice), refried beans and cheese. Normally, I would have taken at least one star off for a dish like this, but we loved the restaurant and the other two dishes so much that I could not do it. I would go back in a heartbeat.
