We ordered take out dinner for 2 people in May 2026. The food was acceptable. In order for the restaurant and staff to improve, I believe it is necessary to be honest. One of the orders was fajitas. Either the kitchen staff that prepared the food or the cashier/server that retrieved the " bag " from the kitchen forgot the tortillas. After reading many restaurant reviews here on yelp, this seems to be a common problem. We tipped the cashier 16 percent eventhough it was a take out order. I find visiting restaurants post pandemic to be a disappointing experience. Average to poor food and poor service. This combined with a higher price tag will make dining out a fond memory. read more

My husband and I have Mexican food for lunch almost every Saturday. We're trying out some new places and came across Margaritas. Salsa and chips are big on our list, and we were satisfied with their salsa. It had good flavor, some restaurants put tomato sauce in a bowl and call it salsa, but this was good. The chips were served warm too. I ordered the Quesa Birria and it was very good, it came with chopped onion and cilantro, a hot "salsa" and dipping consommé. I would recommend trying this place. When we arrived at 6pm, the place seemed a little discombobulated. No one was at the front to greet customers. There was a gentleman in the back/kitchen area who we made eye contact with and he seemed to be alerting others to our presence. Once seated our orders were placed and our waiter was friendly. The food was amazing! Huge portions and everything tasted freshly made. My only complaint would be the guacamole for the table. I ordered the small/one avocado portion. I believe we were brought the two avocado portion because I was charged $12. It was delicious, but more than I was expecting to pay. Was very excited to try this place because I mean who doesn't love Mexican food. Walk in and get greeted and seated immediately. The place was clean and very well decorated. Was a bit taken aback that the parking lot was full but place was practically empty. All those folks must have been next door at the gym. Anyways our waitress came over immediately and introduced herself but music was so loud could barely hear her. I ordered the Tulum fajitas with veggies, salad and Mexican rice. Also ordered the Mexican street corn as an app. The street corn was absolutely delish but the fajitas fell flat for me. The way it was described I expected way more of a flavor punch. It was chicken, pineapples, bacon, mushrooms, onions and cheese. First thing wrong was they didn't come out sizzling. They were hot but when u think fajitas u expect to see and hear that familiar hiss of heat. And my sides came out on the extremely hot plate which would be fine but for the life of me I can't understand why u would put a salad on a hot from the oven plate. Who wants warm/hot salad? We are from SoCal so understand where this review is coming from. We know good Mexican food! Short Version Setting: Lunch on a Saturday Price: Fair for the serving size Food: Really freaking good! Service: Perfectly adequate. Long Version: My wife and I came into the restaurant around lunchtime on a Saturday. They were plenty of people sitting outside, but not many sitting inside. They definitely are not scrimping any money on the air conditioning as it was nice and cool inside. The decor is colorful and tasteful. My wife and I are not super big on decorations from Dia de los Muertos; however, there wasn't too much of that. The Table salsa was really good and a little bit spicy. We ordered a large guacamole and, it was really good! Again, remember that we are from Southern California and we don't judge that one lightly. My wife ordered the grilled chicken nachos and made it supreme. It tasted fresh and well flavored. I ordered a Burrito A La Pina and it tasted really awesome. The pineapples were cooked perfectly and mixed very well with the chorizo and chicken inside. Their beans and rice were very good. The weight staff came at appropriate intervals. I never had an empty glass of water, which is a big deal for me, and we didn't get too much intrusive checking in. Overall, I do not understand the other reviews saying that this place is overpriced, or that the portions are too small based on the price. The portions are very appropriate given where we are, how much the rent probably is, and inflation. The booth seating was comfy while supportive. When we ordered guacamole, we didn't have to ask for more chips. We were told they would be brought out and we got a fresh bowl within two minutes. Also, when our food was brought out, the wait staff accidentally knocked my wife's fork off the napkin and under the plate. We didn't have to say anything. She immediately apologized and replaced it. This particular location is absolutely trash. Drive 10 minutes further to Rea Farms. For the Business owner who needs to check in on the happenings. The bartender has a terrible attitude. She didn't want to make my Mamacita Margarita because it would take too long to make the mix?? Spicy Margarita can't be made with top shelf margarita bc it's a premade? They kept pushing for us to get something out of the mixer machines. Ordered a guac spicy and it was bland, asked for lemon, lime and salt. No problem. I can fix a bland guac.... Could have stayed home and saved $56 for 2 margaritas and guac ‍. 9:14 pm AFTER paying our bill, we sat on the patio to have our margaritas. Have been to this location 2 times now and both times it was a good experience. We met other couples for dinner and it was a Comfortable atmosphere. Horrible service!!!! Felt forgotten. It took our server 15 minutes to get our drink order and appetizers. Guac app took 30 minutes to come out and 20 for our lemonades. The server never took our order. I had to get the manager to take our order after 40 minutes of waiting. Then that took 20 minutes for fried food to arrive. Food was cold and we never saw our server again. Had to get up and get the manager to get our bill. I explained the experience to the manager and she asked but how was the food. And took off 6 dollars off our 78 dollar bill. Horrible horrible. Oh I forgot we asked for plates from two different servers and never got them. In a span of another 15 minutes after we received our food. Just horrible. And it wasn't busy if that's what you thought. The server only had three tables including ours. I was very disappointed with the food and lack of knowledge our waitress new about the food and drinks anyway I ordered a chicken and shrimp dish with some kind of sauce I wanted spicy and our waitresses told me that this dish was spicy it was not. My food had so much sauce on it I had to scrap it off my chicken and by that time I was done. Our waitresses told us to try the guacamole salad it was good it had no flavor no taste (salt) my husband said his tacos where ok just flavorless. If i could rate this place a zero i would. My best friend and I go and order the "tree of life", which is a basically a margarita flight of 5 mini margaritas. When brought to us it only had 4 margaritas instead of 5. We decide to just drink it and not say anything. Upon grabbing the 3rd margarita, which was blackberry flavored, we noticed the decoration blackberry had mold on it. We asked to speak with a manager just wanting a new flavor margarita to replace that one but upon telling the manager she immediately had an attitude and told us that the mold was just decoration and then told us it was just ice despite it being fuzzy and clearly mold (not ice burn). She eventually brought us a new one despite having an attitude and when drinking the new one there was hair in it. Eventually we just gave up and paid our bill and left. Just an all around terrible experience and would not recommend or go back. read more
