The service here is always unparalleled. The food is OK. The drinks are OK. The restaurant has terrific painted and or carved furniture. Even when the place is full, it is not too loud to enjoy conversations with guests. There is a private parking lot.

When we went inside, the restaurant was very busy! The atmosphere was colorful and fun. It was very festive. When it comes to Mexican food, I like authentic. They bring out chips and salsa, which is always a crowd favorite and it's a red flag if they don't. I ordered the enchiladas suizas because it's my favorite dish. And I was pleasantly surprised. It was really good! I'm not sure if it was because I was super pregnant and ready to pop, but I finished the entire plate. The meat was SO flavorful in the enchiladas. They didn't lean on the sauce for flavor. The meat itself was treated kindly and well seasoned. Overall, our meal was delicious and we had a fun night out.

We shared another pleasant meal here. The chicken chunks in an excellent mole sauce. Not too thick or spicy, just the right amount. The shrimp in garlic sauce is a Mexican take on shrimp scampi. The waitstaff is always pleasant and professional. They check on you without being obtrusive. There is complimentary salsa, chips, and warm refried been dip; I could make a meal out of that. The place is always clean and classic Mexican/American decor; thankfully not too over the top.

We are back at Margaritas. I simply loved their appetizer of shrimp scampi. which I ordered again. As always it was good. I am leaving very satisfied. Our server was very pleasant.

Was looking for a nice and new place to try in the area while shopping in Hobby lobby. This place popped up as one of the places that has a great Mexican food! Went in the place was very festive and our server was very attentive. We ordered drinks then calamari and guacamole. They have chips, salsa and beans upon coming in. Servings are big as you have seen (even bigger than my head!) their food is also tasty and has a lot of flavor. Ambiance of the place is good feels like I'm in Mexico! Over-all this place is a must try!!

Love this place, been coming here fora few years now and its been consistant and tasty. Huge portions, fun colorful atmosphere, the biggest margaritas ive seen. Have gone to other local places but this is my families favorite.

Upon moving to Dutchess County, my husband and I love to explore to new restaurants to find local spots to eat (we are hardcore foodies). We stumbled upon Margarita's Restaurant and instantly fell in love. The decorations reminded us of the local spots when we were in Tulum, full of mosaics and colors so very photogenic. The staff are super attentive and friendly, and provided recommendations for new timers like us. It is also family friendly as our daughter was able to be comfortable in her stroller and the noise level was not loud at all. In terms of the food and drinks, this is perfect for a date night or family/friend event. I don't drink so I ordered a Mango Margarita (delicious); it was the right consistency and temperature to cool off on a hot summer day. For food, I ordered Camarones a La Diabla; if you love spicy food then this is for you! It's a strong kick but addictive , get it does not overpower the overall texture of the palette. They have a lot of alcoholic drinks too that I recommend if you're a social drinker. This became our new favorite spot for Mexican food, so definitely show this place some love and support.

My absolute favorite meal here, the Jalisco enchiladas.

I have been coming here for delicious Mexican food for years! The bring over the free chips with salsa and a bean dip. The salsa has a little spice which I love. The bean dip is new and it's so yummy. It's like a saucier refried beans with a little queso on top. Really yummy. The Jalisco enchiladas are my go to. I love the 3 different enchiladas (cheese, chicken, beef) with three different sauces (red, green and mole). I usually don't like mole but it's good here. I love the rice and refried beans. I mean...REALLY love. I always want to eat more but I'm always too stuffed with the dinner. And we never have room for dessert but the churros look good. All my companions loved their dinners too. My friend loved her Peach Margarita. I came another time with a different set of friends and they said it's pretty authentic from when they visited Mexico. When you go, try not to fill up on the chips

This was the drawing that margaritas staff drew for me!

I have been going here since they opened. But, I can go on all day, all night and weekend on how amazing, authentic and well portioned their food is! I was there once and wasn't having the greatest day. I did a Mobil order and when I got home I found a little drawing (picture included) and that made my day! It's little things like this that can change a persons day or views on humanity in life. It's this little gesture that make my impossible belief of world peace to happen. A simple gesture like holding a door, saying thank you can make the BIGGEST difference to a person and change their day. The drawing they did, taking the time to do this made my crappy day wonderful! The food is not to be missed! The asado burrito is phenomenal! It's huge and stuffed beyond with a crazy amount of skirt steak. The oceanic burrito also a favorite. The California quesadillas are a favorite amount my household. The chicken wings as appetizer are the best you'll ever eat in this area!!! They are big, crispy, juicy you can't go wrong! You literally cannot order a bad meal here!

The menu and photographs are on a tablet. Pick out what you like and it comes to the table, it will look exactly like it does in the photograph. The food is very well seasoned, it's not excessively piquant nor spicy. You can taste the main ingredients. Plating is done aesthetically. Portions are more than ample. The dinner plates are imported and made in Mexico. Nice touch. On several occasions, I've seen families there with three generations, enjoying their meal. It's family friendly. Fortaleza has an App and a customer loyalty program. There is a spacious private parking lot in front, and the parking is free.

I couldn't help but overhear a conversation the owner was having with another customer; he started as a dishwasher in another restaurant and worked his way up to where he could open his own place. The food was well prepared and not overly spicy. The rice was fresh and the beans complimented the rest of the meal. Tried the chicken enchiladas in green sauce. Inside the tortillas it was filled with shredded white meat chicken. The entree was excellent. Instead of a beer I tried the Jamaica water. I've had it in Mexico, where it's a refreshing change. Villa Picante is a small casual Mexican restaurant with table service and a robust takeout/delivery business. Inside is cute but not fancy. They have some accent pieces that add to the vibe. Service was terrific. I ordered the Alambre plate, shared Bistec Nachos and tried the Chicken in my son's Tinga Burrito. The Nachos were good. This is a good problem to have -- I think there was too much steak. LOL. The Guac was first rate. There was melted cheese and queso fresco. I could have used a bit less steak and more vegetables, but these were good nachos. The Alambre plate arrived like an awesome sizzling platter of fajitas with melted Oaxaca cheese over the top . It had steak, chorizo, onions, peppers. Our server (who also seemed like an owner), asked if I wanted it spicy and I said medium spicy. It was served with rice, beans and flour tortillas. This was really terrific. They nailed the spice level and the flavors were great. I loved the chorizo mixed in with the other traditional steak fajita ingredients. The flour tortillas were good. This dish exceeded my expectations. My 12 year old son is still exploring new foods, which I love, but sometimes they end up being different than he expects. He didn't love the chicken texture, but I think Villa Picante nailed the chicken and the burritos too. There was no cheap filler in the burrito. The chicken had great flavor and texture. I love Villa Picante. They have my high recommendation. I'd return if we had more time in town. 4.5 Stars

What a Disappointment!!! The whole experience was a crying…read moreshame! Not only for us, and the other customers, but for the owners as well. Made a reservation for 7:30 PM. We received an email, that they would be doing a soft opening November 1st. We were really looking forward to a Spanish meal! When we arrived, the place was packed! Usually, a positive sign. Apparently, we weren't the only ones, that received the E-mail. We let the bartender know that we had a reservation, the answer was pretty much; see if you can find a seat. First off - they should change the name from Flores Tapas to Flores - burger and taco shack. Based on the "new" menu. It's very sad - because it's neither "fish nor fowl". Is it Mexican street food or a burger joint? It takes forever for the food to come out of a totally confused kitchen and even though there are numbers on the table, they don't know where to bring it. It's the fault of the "21st century"ordering system they are employing. IT is totally "Fakakta"!! Theoretically, the order goes from your phone to the kitchen, where they process it and prepare your food, then the runner brings it to your table. The reality is disappointingly different. You're better off, sitting at the bar; getting blitzed and watching TV. The fast food gets there sooner! You can do that at home and not have to worry about driving home drunk. Sadly, they spent a small fortune on theme glasses, seat back covers that look like Santa's hat, and specialty merchandise. See photos. I have a feeling, that a lot of the people that were there tonight. Sitting around at the tables, waiting for their food, that took over an hour to arrive won't be back! Especially a lot of the senior citizens or anyone over 30 years old that wondered what was going on? It was suggested; that as a Tapas restaurant they couldn't survive. Wappingers isn't ready for them. However, there are dozens of Mexican taco places within a few miles and burger joints to choose from. Let's hope they fair well.

We made a reservation for two but waited 10 minutes with no one greeting or seating us, so we eventually seated ourselves at the bar. It took another 20 minutes for the overburdened bartender to take our order. The food was underwhelming, and while the cocktails were tasty, they were far too small for the price. That said, the staff--though clearly short-staffed and overwhelmed--were friendly and genuinely doing their best. Unfortunately, the lack of adequate staffing and organization made the experience fall flat.

Not a word of English spoken. This is Mexican food for the Mexican population of Wappinger Falls. Tacos, on a corn tortilla, with meat, onions and cilantro. Finally, proper tacos for my Mexican food deprived mouth. I had just eaten dinner, but decided on a taco con carnitas y un taco con chorizo. Jesus, it was almost as if I was back in Highland Park, Los Angeles. Moist, fall apart in your mouth carnitas. No weird, hard chunks of gristle. A perfect balance between fat and meat. The chorizo was pretty standard for LA, nothing too exciting, but spicy and pretty goddamn epic for this side of the country. The salsa roja was smokey, spicy and delicious. Damn. I'm still thinking about these tacos. For me, they lack some crucial elements: no carne asada, no al pastor and no radishes served with the tacos. But they serve lengua. And have awesome salsa. And it's authentic, which means a lot to me for tacos in upstate New York. So yeah, if I lived near here I'd become a fat mess REAL quick because these tacos can complete with LA. Seriously.
