Attended a party here with 160 librarians. The passed appetizers were very nice. I think the biggest hit was the Mac & cheese triangles, which are only served at special events. Other appetizers included meatballs, breaded shrimp and sliders. I didn't try the shrimp because I'm allergic, but the meatballs were decent but a little too sweet. I had a terrible experience at Margaritaville Atlantic City. The service was painfully slow from the moment we sat down. We waited way too long just to be acknowledged, and even longer for drinks and food. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed or uninterested. What made it even worse was finding a LIVE ROACH crawling on our table while we were sitting there. We had to kill it ourselves. Completely unacceptable and disgusting. I took a photo because I couldn't believe it. No one should have to deal with that while trying to enjoy a meal. My daughter was the first person to order pictured here is Cajun seafood pasta. Everyone else received their order finished their food. We thought about sitting indoors, but the solo musician was blasting his music and we wouldn't be able to hold a conversation. We sat on the boardwalk, in the dark, across from LandShark. A candle or something on the blank tables would have been nice. The best thing we ordered was the quesadilla appetizer. It was both delicious and filling. My girlfriend ordered a burger and I got the jerk salmon. The salmon was flavorful, though slightly overcooked. For some reason, there was something sugary underneath, which undermined the entire dish. Their "Perfect Margarita" is a far cry from perfect. (Sugar Factory has an exceptional "Classic Margarita" that outshined every restaurant we had been to in AC.) Jarvin was a good server but it was clear they were either understaffed or there was some minor chaos because all the servers seemed rushed and overwhelmed. I came here for lunch with colleagues. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. We ordered our first set of drinks and water and it took while to get the drinks and we never got the water. I ordered fries as my meal just because I wanted something quick. The fries were good but nothing spectacular. One of the people with me got a meal and seemed to enjoy it. It all works out! Reservations for 12 people- they put us in this boat booth and expect us to all fit!! hahaha! No worries, grabbed a nearby table and chairs to make it work. Ok... where to start... first off I've been here before and had an amazing experience but this time, not so much. As we were waiting for our table we went to the gift shop and got some merch. One item being a glass shot glass. They didn't wrap it and the bag they put it in broke and it dropped to the ground and shattered into a million pieces. When we walked back in to explain the girl behind the counter, got all ghetto on us saying things like "what YOU want me to do?" "Don't give ME NO attitude." We ended up walking away. She refused to get us a manager. We sat down to eat and our server Travis was amazing. He interacted with us and even recommended a fun non-alcoholic drink for our 13 year old that came in a light up cup. We placed our order and then we waited ... and waited ... and waited. Finally an hour later our food came BUT... I ordered a steak and when it came to the table I had no knife. So we asked for one and 20 minutes later they bought me one, but by then it was cold, over cooked and hard as a rock. We ended up sending it back and I had no dinner. The best part of the night was the live music. If you go there. Go for a drink ... I had the key lime martini and it was delicious but that's about all I can say about this place. Poor Jimmy is probably rolling over on his grave knowing this beloved Margaritaville has taken such a turn for the worse. Came to AC for a cheer competition and needed to find a place that could accommodate a large party. This place fit the bill. They are tucked away in the back next to the boardwalk. We went there yesterday afternoon looking for lunch. We stood at the hostess stand for probably 10 minutes, nobody came by. My wife walked in and asked one person working if we could get seated, he said he was bussing tables but would help us shortly. After another 5 minutes nobody came by, I walked in and asked a server if we should just seat ourselves. He said "No! We're on a wait! We're packed!" I looked around and saw half the tables were open, I said "where?". He said "there's a big room in the back!" We left and walked across the boardwalk to Landshark where we were welcomed right away and were served by an enthusiastic and very helpful waitress. Wish I could remember her name. :/ But anyway, if you happen to walk into Margaritaville and see half the dining room full - be warned it may be "too busy" for them to help you... Great service, great view, good mixed drinks! Usually Margaritaville's are a little too touristy for me, but my son and I really enjoyed stopping here for a drink and apps today. The decor is very cool and there's so much to see when you look around. The food was equivalent to average diner food unfortunately.
