I come here EVERYDAY that I work downtown. The Empanadas come in a decent variety but they are absolutely delicious. The Chorizo with a side of Chimichuri sauce is perfect. The customer service is great and you can never go wrong eating here for breakfast or lunch any day. read more

I grew up on empanadas (typically Colombian Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican or Venezuelan however, this was my very first time having Argentinian empanadas and man was I empressed! Compared to the ones I'm used to eating, the ones served here aren't crispy and browned like the ones from other countries. They were more pastry like in appearance. Maria Empanada provided a variety of flavors. The empanada was packed with toppings and the flavor was on point. I ordered the mushroom snd the vegan empanada. The sauces they provided on the side enhanced the flavors of the pastry dough. The pasty dough was perfectly salty and sweet. The staff was kind. Glad this location open my sisters and i went to Broadway location two weeks ago and let me tell you that is not clean especially the bathrooms the short blond Manager had a mad face all the time and didn't helpus in a good way this Saturday morning we visiti Platte location and it was alot different the place is clean best clean bathrooms ever and the manager was so frendly and the counter assitent made us feel welcome thank you girls your doing a great job on this location will be back to this location always The Banatela warm as the counter asisten recomended was awesome and the coffe is a must to try thank you read more

I love the empanadas here! So delicious and when I get a hankering it's close by. Only problem is that the hours posted are not the hours they are open. I went on Sunday morning at 9:10 and they were closed! Their hours are posted on the door but no other sign to explain why they are not open. I work on 15th and Maria Empanada is my go-to lunch spot. It's a quick walk around the corner and I pass all the other lunch places to head to Maria. The highlands area can get really expensive and Maria Empanada is a great cost-effective restaurant averaging about $5 an empanada. (I simply cannot afford the $18 sandwiches you'll find in the area) They're a good size and 2 empanadas usually fill me up! I always get the Argentina and the mushroom but last time I went I tried the chicken chimichurri and it was awesome. I'm planning on trying the breakfast empanadas too. My coworker usually gets the egg and chorizo and he loves it. If you're looking for something sweet they also have a cold one with bananas and Nutella covered in powdered sugar. It's so good! They have a blood orange Yerba mate in a can I really like too. The space is cute and clean although I usually opt to take mine to go. Love the people who work here as well! read more

Tastes good for the most part but very overpriced. Price per unit is high and any tiny side sauces come for an extra cost. I can't get any of my friends to come with me here because you got to buy 30$ worth of emphanadas to call it a meal. WARNING THIS RESTAURANT HAS NO OPEN OR FREE PARKING FOR CUSTOMERS! my husband and I were visiting from out of state and decided this was a necessary tour stop as we love guy fieri. However when arriving there was no parking in site and the open spots were either reserved for other restaurants/tenants or pay to park ($10-15+) we found a metered parking spot and ran in we hoped they would be able to tell us where we could park but they just told us everything you have to pay for around here. We asked where they park and they said they just park where they can and periodically check their cars to make sure they're not ticketed or towed! We grabbed our food, scarfed it down, and STILL ended up with a ticket for being 7 MINUTES late. If you eat here either be ready to pay out your rear end or take your food to go. No wonder the place was a ghost town when we entered. YOU CANT GET CUSTOMERS IF NO ONE CAN GET TO YOUR RESTAURANT! read more
