Today I got a pedicure.... its been at least 6mos since Ive had one done and yes it was nasty, but they took care of me and now my feet are beautiful & I can wear sandals on confidence!! Love my nails! I had a very decent experience at this shop. As soon as I walked in the door I was seated and Christine started know my nails. I'm not really much of a small talker so it was nice that she kept that to a minimum. Didn't bother me at all. I didn't get a pedicure this time but if I was going to I would've absolutely done it here. They had the plastic liners for the spa tubs! She took her time on my nails and didn't miss a thing. I'm from out of town and broke a couple nails. Called and told me to go in at 1. Went in today to get a nail fixed and she welcomed me in with open arms. She fixed both of my broken nails and repainted all my nails because of the color difference. Will be back if I'm ever in town!! read more

I went here once a few months ago, I loved my nails so much the shape and design. The ladies were incredibly friend and easy to get along with. For some reason I didn't go back and sense I have had the worst experience with my nails. No one gets the shape right, they aren't good with design and customer service just sucks.. I really wanted to like this place based on how very nice and genuine everyone seemed but, based off the actual work done it was ridiculously horrible. I actually live in OB, but I had some business in El Cajon that gave me a few hours between meetings. And since my usual lady was off on Wednesday (and this took place on Wednesday, August 26th) and that was the only day I had available to get my nails done I decided to go to Maria's. I did have to wait 10 minutes before I spoke up asking how much longer, again since I was slightly crunched on time and was told another 5 minutes. Of course, this was more like 10. (Side note: there was a lady that came in and was never given an estimated time before she could be seen. She ended up waiting about 35 minutes before getting up and leaving. This was after they sat someone before her due to a few chipped nails. Maybe chipped nails are a reoccurrence here???) Again, everyone was very nice. But, when it came to being almost done I had two nails I felt had the potential to snag quickly. I mentioned this and the technician 'fixed' it, but I still didn't feel secure. She reassured me it was fine. I figured she knew best and went on my way. Mistake. Not even 5 hours later I had a nail chip and within the first 24 hours I had 4 nails chip. By Friday, almost all my nails had chipped or snagged in some way. I did call to let them know and they told me to come back in and they would fix at no charge. My issue with this is it is a 30 minute drive one-way. Again, I really didn't have that kind of time. Whomever answered the phone was obviously my technician as she said she remembered me and even admitted that it was her first time doing Shellac/gel! What a disappointment!! I ended up squeezing in time I didn't have to go to my usual lady, Jesse at Le Nails in MV, to do my nails completely over... So not only did I lose double the money, but also lost double the time. read more

I randomly walked in to this nail shop because I was in the area and I was in need to get my nails done.. I was greeted right away by CHRISTINE. She was super nice took her time doing my nails. I loved that i was able to actually relax and not feel like im being rushed. Her mom was also super nice, she did my pedicure! This place is right by my house so I'll pop in sometimes if my normal shop is too busy. Today I went first thing in the morning to get a full gel set and spa pedicure. Rosa and her mother were the techs who helped me and I was very unhappy with my service. The spa chair towel by the head of the seat had other women's hair all in it and the towel on the foot end had little black bugs crawling on it. I asked for new towels and all they did was flip them over. I had my nails done in the spa chair while I got my pedicure and Rosa was very rough. She yanked each arm whenever she needed to work on it, did not ask what length I wanted and started to cut them before I could ask for them long, she did not do the shape I asked for and to top it off did 3 coats on my left hand and 1 on my right and didn't realize it until I pointed it out. Her mother did my pedicure and I understand her English isn't that good, so I asked Rosa if she could have her cut them short and she proceeded to argue with me while her mom kept saying "No cut short." After they finally cut them how I asked, she painted my toes and told me I was good to go. I messed up my big toe getting up and asked for it to be fixed. My pedicure was done with regular polish and Rosa just painted over the mess up with a gel polish that didn't even match the original one. I asked her to then fix my other toe and she said "No she'll just redo it" which her mom did, 3 times because she kept messing up while painting. While this should've taken an hour, maybe an hour and a half, I was at the shop for almost 2 and a half hours. I will not being going back again. read more

I called on a Sunday and made an appt a few hrs in advance. it was no problem. They had plenty of pictures of my options. I finally found what I wanted and she got me in right away. I was there for less than 2 hours for tips and polish. It started to get more and more busy once I was there but they stayed open and kept taking new customers. I plan on going back in another week to get a fill. Her pricing is very reasonable and she doesn't try to change it on you later. read more

I came here today because my usual nail place and nail lady were booked and i heard this place was good so i decided to try it out. I hated my nails she did not shape them how i wanted them to be and i asked her to do a marble design and she tried to do it twice and i didn't like how it looked both times so she took it off and i asked her to just leave it without any design and they still don't look good, she went over my nails with 3 coats so now they just look bumpy. So I went to this nail salon for the first time on Friday and I had a great experience. Everyone was so nice and inviting! I brought in a nail design that I wanted and they were completely ok with doing it for me. Unfortunately, the nail polish under the gel was a bad idea. It bubbled and looked really bad. This happened because the polish i chose needed like 3 coats to look goos. I went back today to have it fixed and they were SO nice about it. They fixed it at no charge and now I am very happy with my nails. I even ended up getting a pedi! This salon is not fancy or brand new but the ladies are nice and welcoming. Have a great experience every time! I love going and getting acrylic nails, pedicures and eyebrow wax. Rosa is really good at doing all the crazy designs that I ask for and always makes my bling on point! The woman Mai who mainly does pedicures makes me toes BEAUTIFUL! Couldn't ask for a better job. This place in my opinion is awesome. I come here to get my eyebrows done and I don't leave the place all red and blotchy from wax being ripped off my face. Small, simple and cheap. I've been here twice and got gel mani and regular pedi. The mani was $23 and they did a good job and were quick. The pedi was really good for only $18. They don't try to upsale you on anything like other shops. I recommend calling for an appt since it seems like they only have 3 ladies, however for my pedi I walked in and only had to wait like 5 minutes. read more

This place is awesome, I love the staff they are always so friendly. When I arrive they are always so fast to assist me. I usually always get a Mani and Pedi; they massage your hands for ever and take time to actually do their job correctly. By far I've never had a problem and highly recommend them.
