My sisters and I always pass by and can just feel the fun vibe and music coming off the building. We decided to come on a slightly chill day to hang out and have a girl's lunch on Sunday. The interior decor was so cute and I loved the holiday decor that was there as well, Starting with the service we were quickly welcomed by the hostess staff and lead to our seats. They got us waters and chips and salsa quickly. Diana, our wonderful waitress, was quick to get our drink orders in. I LOVED my frozen Strawberry/Mango marg and my sister enjoyed her Wanda as well. The original Mariano Martinez invented the original frozen margarita machine so it was so it was fun to learn something too! The quality of my frozen margarita machine was amazing- fresh, sweet, and natural! Everyone really enjoyed their food as well. The variety of fresh salsas and mixed textures. Highly recommend the fish taco plate! Finished off my meal with a classic- FLAN. It was silky delicious custard. Loved it.

I like looking for good Tex Mex whenever I come to visit Dallas, and overall I thought this place was pretty good. I ordered the brisket tacos, which were tasty. The prices were not too bad, compared to prices I've seen at comparable spots in the Bay Area. The restaurant itself has a nice vibe to it, with some cool decor and lighting. The reason why this review got knocked down to three stars was the strange experience my friend and I had with the waiter. My friend and I are both Taiwanese-American, and throughout the evening, the waiter (who was clearly not of Asian descent) made sure to tell us "xie xie" ("Thank you" in Mandarin) almost every time he came back to refill our waters or check on us. He even remarked at one point, "I love saying that!" While it didn't ruin the whole experience of eating here, it was kind of off-putting. Overall, I would still say if you're looking for decent Tex Mex, this is not a bad place to check out.

I love the interior of this restaurant! Nice, dim lighting with an upscale casual vibe. The bar in the middle is great too. The servers are always prompt and friendly. The food is delicious - I love their crispy tacos with pulled chicken! Their verde enchiladas and steak fajitas are also 10/10. It's hard not to get a margarita on top of it all... they're delicious and there's plenty of different options!

Spicy Chicken Verde added side of grilled veggies & a mango strawberry margarita

I saw a TikTok of a lady saying her favorite item from here was the Spicy Chicken Verde, so I had to try it. The sauce was on the salty side for me, but I am usually sensitive to salt so others may like it. I added a side of grilled vegetables, which I asked the waiter if they came seasoned or with garlic butter & he said that they did however I didn't detect either. I'd like to go back to try the chicken & shrimp fajitas. My mango strawberry margarita was good.

Consistently fantastic! I don't have much else to say. The service is fast, the food is fresh, and the drinks are strong! Father's Day at Mariano's is always a good idea.

I have to say, this place was absolutely super fantastic for a girlfriends get together. Excellent service and extremely wonderful people. Oh...and the FOOD...TDF! There were 5 of us and we shared the queso and guacamole to start...now, many readers of my write ups know that I am a super picky (fill-on-the-blank)! Both were excellent! Then, after both appies we shared 2 orders of chicken and steak fajitas. HOLY COW the steak was ridiculously tender, tasty and cooked so well. Thank you, to this lovely family and establishment...support this local GEM!

The only thing that keeps me from eating here more often is our mutual geographic location - I live in Round Rock, and this place is a destination away. I've been a loyal fan for decades of Mariano's Hacienda at Skillman/Abrams in Dallas, and this is their sister "ranch" concept that has more space (and fireplaces) but the same flavors of the original concept. The margaritas, roasted salsa, and brisket tacos are my favorites!

    Beef fajitas!!

First time there and it was so good! They sat us on the patio and I was afraid it would be warm, but it's enclosed and quite pleasant! We had the queso and beef fajitas for 2. Omg it was all amazing! The beef fajitas are skirt steak but I'm not sure what they do it is SO tender! It was a lot of food, we had leftovers! Our service was also great! Check it out I will be back!

A staple in the Dallas area. The food is top notch, everything made to order, service is always quick and attentive. Def one of my go tos when I can't make up my mind. Casual dining or a great first date spot.

First off the staff was very friendly even though there were 30+ ppl waiting for a table. They kept composure and did the best they could as it was a Friday night Father's Day weekend. The food was great. I enjoyed the brisket tacos & green chicken enchiladas. Eye catching decor Cooks need a raise!

Mariano's is famous for inventing the frozen margarita, which seems like such an obvious thing that I'm surprised it didn't just always exist. But someone had to invent it, and that someone is Mariano Martinez. Of course, the margaritas are good, but so is every margarita everywhere. What makes this place amazing is the mesquite smoked everything. Texas BBQ flavor in Tex-Mex recipes is a combination that once you've had it, you wonder how on Earth did you ever live without it. And then you go back to Mariano's for another round.

    Poblano plate - very nice
    David D.

The food was exceptional- from the chips and salsa to the delicious dessert (flan). The ambiance was pleasant - a family place in which one can still converse comfortably. The Poblano stuffed with cheese and beef was SO good and the surf and turf was better than most! The margaritas here are also amazing

I'm not sure why my pictures aren't posting, but I'm trying this again. The food was very delicious. The ambience gave me a traditional type of Mexican food which I really loved. They offer fresh flour tortillas and the margaritas were delicious. I definitely recommend to check it out if ever in the area.

Ask the Community - Mariano's Hacienda Ranch

    Is there patio seating?

It's a patio, but it's totally enclosed with no ventilation to the air outside. So if you're looking for outdoor dining, this does not fit the definition.

Can we bring our dog along?

I have never seen a dog inside. You should call to verify their policy but from my view they do not allow dogs inside.

The herbs they use are picked from their local garden, and the food is incredibly fresh. I ordered the marinated lamb kebabs and Hummus. By the way, their hot tea is fantastic. I highly recommend it but the food was also delicious. The only thing is that the Hummus was very salty but still delicious. The dessert is the best part of the meal. Eggs Benedict, hummus, bread with butter and jam, and pancakes were all solid as well! Presentation was beautiful. My only disappointment was with the pita bread - I found the bread flat and and a little dry. Service was efficient and nice. It did feel more like a business meeting or brunch type of place - not so much a family place. Thankfully it was pretty empty when we went so our baby didn't have anyone to disturb. Would definitely recommend coming to try!

We started with the Tiki Drinks of course. I love a sweet drink so i chose the Banana Alexandra. It is cacao rum and cream and banana. It also comes with a frozen chocolate covered banana. The Six Word Story was suggested as it is less sweet than the hurricane but the Hurricane is very popular. The Six Word was very citrus tasting but not super sweet but very tasty. Next we got the Lumpia. It was very crispy with a fantastic chili sauce. It was so good. Then we got the Bread and Butter because it is a bakery and need their bread. The Honey Butter was awesome and so was the bread. We went with the whole Branzino fish tacos and house made corn tortillas. What a visual treat. You have never seen such a presentation. The tacos were amazing. The crispy fish and sauce and cabbage was amazing. For dessert, we went OFF menu and got the Pistachio Tres Leche Cake with pistachio cream and strawberries. It was so amazing!! Always go off menu is my advice. We then selected some pastries to go and you MUST try the Vietnamese Coffee Brownie!! It didn't last long when i got home.
