Bomb food for "break time". Carne asada fries...mmm

The food here is pretty good but I think the way the workers handle the food is disgusting. I haven't been here for awhile because last time I went I was going to get some salsa from the salad bar but when I look there were dead flies in the salsa and the guacamole. It was so gross.. I feel like if the workers don't pay attention to what's inside the salad bar they probably don't pay attention to what was on their meat and food. There could have been flies in the kitchen and landed on the carne asada steak that I was eating. I will never ever come back to this place.I gave it a 3/5 because the staff was friendly just very unhygienic. read more

I'm from SoCal and eat a lot of tacos, this place was solid. Good rice beans and Carne Asada. Also the Super Burrito you can get "wet" with a dark red mole sauce. Good Stuff. read more

So nasty, I ordered nachos from here and got home and there was a live fly in the box. This place always seemed to have tons in them flying around but I never thought they serve them with the food. I was so disappointed with this place it is Ridiculous! Went there about 2am, got a soda, burrito and some fries and went back to work. Driving back to work i realized my soda was flat and supper syrupy. Then when i got to My fries, they were frozen soggy grease balls. It was like they dipped them for a second and pulled them out and handed them to me. Then the grand finale was when i went to my burrito, it just fell apart all over the place. Menudo was fresh as were the tortillas. If you find any better please let me know. As for the rest of the menu they should really look at their prices. $5 bean and cheese burrito is ridiculous, and ordering two taco combo at $8.99 when you can order two tacos for $5 and a side of rice and beans for $3 which adds up to a dollar cheaper ordering individually. Pretty good place. I ordered to go with a bacon and egg burrito and I thought it was exceptionally good. Also for the price for 5 dollars for a filling burrito isn't bad either on top of it being a 24 hour service. read more

After 4 years of my husband raving about this and trying to get me to try this place, we finally did. I got the taco combo and he got an asada burrito. He said his was ok but nothing like it was before. My taco shells were so fried, I was afraid I was going to hurt my teeth. The taco meat was burnt. And it wasn't cheap either. Terrible service especially during Covid-19. You would think they would be trying to retain customers not run them off. The self proclaimed owner was a rude women I had encountered before but just let her attitude go. I was the only customer inside and they had been open for an hour already so I figured it should be good to go. I ordered nachos and a burrito. Sat down to wait. The lady threw my food on the counter and aggressively asked me what sauces I wanted. I asked for a lime and cilantro for my burrito and for the nachos I asked for 2 red salas, 1 jalapeño, and 1 pico. She unloaded on me yelling at full volume about how I am only allowed to have 2 sauces and the rest cost .25 each. I was so taken aback that it took me a second to respond. I told her I had never been told that before and that it was a new policy to me but it wasn't a big deal. I would pay for the extras. I did not raise my voice and wasn't rude. She started yelling at me about how she is the owner and she doesn't give a f*** about what the other employees said or did she was telling me that I could only have 2 and had to pay for the rest. Again, I said it wasn't an issue I would pay but that she didn't need to be yelling at me like that. It wasn't necessary. She told me to take my food and leave which I was already on my way out. I told her you know, your attitude really sucks today. Its a shame you are treating your customers like this. That made her really upset cus she started cussing me out and threatening me that she was gonna call the cops. I didn't say anything else. Needless to say, I haven't been and won't be going back. Sorry ass burrito. Where do I begin?! First of all the burrito was wrapped so loose and half ass that it was sitting in the box like a puddle encased by tortilla. I had to re-wrap it and it still was difficult to handle. Secondly, the meat was so hard, chewing the huge and fatty pieces was super annoying. After struggling to chew I was even more so irritated because the lack of flavor! The burrito, a supreme and with carne asada, was tasteless, mucky, and a complete waste of money. When we got home the burrito was hecka cold from all of the cold lettuce, cold cheese, and cold tomato they use and it makes up more than half the burrito i swear! Horchata sucks. Taste like concentrate. My husbands tacos were full of meat and the salsa added was actually ok, however the taco (by the way the corn tortillas were soggy and break as soon as you pick it up) had the same carne asada that takes 20 minutes to chew. After 15 minutes of regrettably eating half of the sorry ass burrito. I got cramps and gurgling noises coming from my pissed off tummy! All that money just to waste food and feel like crap. This isn't the first time I've experienced some nasty food. This last time tho was indeed, my LAST time. read more

We just went into marias taco shop, placed $120.00 order and when we got home we realized that there was one order carne fries and 10 rolled tacos missing which was inconvenient because of people who didn't get there food. So I make a trip back to the taco shop to get a refund or replace the food and I dealt with the shitty customer service female in the world. 1st she said all the food was there when clearly it wasn't because we had ppl without food, then told her no it was and why would I come all the way back if it all was & the bitch literally said "we have cameras" like okay then look at the video because we are missing food. & she refuses to refund us or even off to apologize and make the food they lacked. I told her we would be back tomorrow and she says okay my boss will be here tomorrow too & I told her that's fine to have the video ready then. This was honestly the worst experience I've ever had. & for my family being latinos as well she makes us Mexicans look terrible. People like her should fall off the face of earth. & shouldn't be working to assist others or represent the Mexican restaurant establishment. I've been to Maria's plenty of times and never had her assist me it was only a male but the time it was a woman and we was horrible at her job. Why would any owner have an employee like patty working for them... she's rude, no customer service experience, and making people never want to go there again. I ordered a big order and yeah they forgot some items , but when I just asked for my money back she refused to do so and told me that there company does not have to give receipts. Wow!! So if you are ripping me off I wouldn't even be able to prove what I ordered!!! Wow!!! Patty thats some great customer service!!! I can say the guys and gals that I have seen working there are wonderful. The tall cook is spicy to look at. But, the food has gone down and surprisingly the prices went up. I went in and ordered a Asada burrito everyday special. Drove home to eat it but when i was half way through eating my burrito i began eating the beans and rice. However, when i began eating my beans, I pulled up a pubic hair. After seeing that pubic hair I threw my burrito down and began to gag because I had mixed my beans with the cheese onto of it and had a few bites of the beans before picking up the pubic hair. I went in last Sunday morning May 15th because I wanted some menudo. I specifically asked the cashier/girl that I didn't want a lot of meat in it. I heard her tell the cooks that but they decided to add TONS of meat in the soup. When I got home I noticed that it had more meat than soup and that made me really mad. I had to throw more then half of it away because it was overwhelming. I wouldn't be surprised if the cooks did it on purpose. the unfortunate part is that's the only place that I like their menudo but if I ever do return I will order it without any meat. I was very disappointed. Also the cashier/girl is always the one that helps me out whenever I've gone there and she looks like she would rather be anywhere else but there. Recently ate here after not visiting for a few years. The quality of the food has gone down extraordinarily. I ordered my old favorite: a Carne asada burrito supreme. The quality of the meat inside the burrito was terrible...loads of fat and very chewy. The refried beans tasted like they were days old. Even the salsa bar tasted different. On top of all that.....the prices have increased tremendously. Very sad....Maria's used to be my favorite place to eat. I don't mind paying 8 or 9 dollars for a burrito, but it better be edible. read more

We have been going for a couple years now. We only go during the week so we can't say anything about the weekend crew but the guys that work there during the week days are great.
