And u get mad because they didnt speak with their mouth full all i can say is hand down one of my most favorite weapon and firearms stores to have ever walked in to amazing service every time and an extraordinary amount of knowledge. People need to stop acting like a .22lr and start acting like a 500 magnum put you big boy and girl pants on and mature the hell up i have never read such little kid reviews about complaints owner Mark and his crew always give excellent customer service and the amounts of knowledge i learn every time i walk in weather it be. Just for a holster or new bore brush i am never lead in the wrong direction and always given the best advice in all forms for all my firearms needs and care Q&A. Every time i walk through that door i feel like a celebrity its always red carpet treatment for their customers and guests not once have i seen heard or felt any bad vibes or rude remarks. Once you squeeze your way past the fat rednecks sitting in lawn chairs blocking the door (seriously!), you can pretty much scope the entire store in about a minute. They sell some used rifles/shotguns at typical gun store prices and have some misc equipment, Kershaw knives and ammo. Their handguns tended to be a bit pricier/nicer than most entry-level (under $500) people would want to buy. The store seems geared toward people who already own a gun or two and actively shoot. I dread going in this store because EVERY time there are at least 4 people inside sitting in chairs right next to the doorway talking about the most inane shit imaginable. Is this a fucking gun store or a gun clubhouse? Not only are they in the way of people trying to actually SHOP (they are even pressed up on the glass handgun cases so you can't browse their small selection), they are constantly blathering to the employee, so you have to wait until a break in their conversation about shooting something to ask to see a gun. If you are claustrophobic, a liberal, or unsure of exactly what you need, you won't like this experience. One of their only saving graces is that they sell the hard to find book "How to own a gun and stay out of jail in California (2008)", although they last time I went there they didn't have any more copies. read more

So much cool stuff and so many options it would be wonderful if the people that come into shop at this amazing place weren't so rude to the staff just because you live in Marin doesn't mean you have to be uneducated and rude, I have seen countless men and women come in uneducated and expect a full schooling on every law known possible to man and asking questions they can find answers to on Google it get to be pretty time consuming for other shoppers , just saying a little education and research goes a long way , I'm ashamed of the way I see people act when I come to shop here the guys at the store are super knowledgable and super super friendly great prices and great selection you won't find better customer service , you can always find a great value or bargain or specific piece for you collection you may be looking for , this store has the biggest selection of 1911 and all sorts of wicked cool rifles for all sorts of applications I love shopping here and will continue to always shop here !! read more

What an amazing store !!! Nick and Trevor Don are Absolutely the wisest and most knowledgeable around. These folks really care about our 2a rights , they are so nice and easy going , well stocked with an amazing inventory and guidance that goes forever. Recently picked up my newest addition and the care and passion that Nick puts into taking time with each Individual is priceless no rushing in and out , they are all about educating and finding the right fit to suit your needs. Trevor is always willing to reach out and help get you set up with the coolest accessories and always on target with anything I get set up to have installed. I'm so glad I didn't read the reviews before I went in. I really want to give a shout out that these guys are the BEST! I took in pictures of rifles I needed to get estimates on and they were willing to spend the time looking up each one and giving me a range of price. They also told me which ones I should bring in to get a more accurate estimate. So I came in again with 4 rifles and again they spent an hour looking them up and over. They even called one of the guys to come in and look at one in particular. Each time I offered to pay them for their time and they said NO! this is what we do. I get the annoyance of the alleged virus precautions, and how your shop may be busy from open to close. However, that is your business - to sell guns. Further, if you do not have a website that works, then say so. I went in a few days ago and simply had the worst customer service experience of my life! even if they have exactly what i need at a great price, i will simply never step foot into this place ever again. As i as leaving the store i made sure they knew how appalled i was with the wanna be cowboy. I have never met such rude and inconsiderate douche on my life. Worst of all, the owner just sat in the corner, polishing his gun, while watching his salesperson lose money every time he opened his mouth. I had a simple deal with a CA customer to swap my rifle for his handgun, I live in NV. It had taken 2 weeks for these morons to send an FFL to my FFL dealer here in NV. I had contacted them to do this the previous week and was told that it would happen....it did not. Now, this deal has fell through and a waste of my time, my FFL's time, my CA customers time has been flushed down the toilet because of total incompetence! Very strange person owns and runs this place. Yes it's the bald guy everyone wrote about earlier. You get the feeling when you walk into his store that he doesn't want you there, which is very odd behavior for someone that operates a retail store. He is condescending, depressing, rude, weird, and has foul tooth rotting breath. Frankly it concerns me he owns a gun store because he carries many traits of an unstable person. I was searching online and found Marin County Arms in Novato Ca. I went to see their collection of consignment guns they had online. The selection was good and found some I really liked, and the process of purchasing the gun. Mark and Don answered my questions, they are very knowledgeable, and if you are looking for information this is the place to go; and If you are looking for a gun new or used this is the place to visit. Their prices are enough to bring them to 3 stars regardless of all else. However, it's their terrible service that brings them to one. Their paunchy regulars who sit there and chat have a good time, but those of us who aren't regulars are treated like idiots. I've been shooting for over 12 years and don't need some city kid who spent 2 years in the service treating me like a child or psychopath. Nothing but a great experience with this LOCALLY OWNED business. People who complain about some of the prices being a little higher than some stupid website clearly forget this obvious fact. I'm a huge fan of marin firearms. I have been collecting guns since i was 18 and am 35 now. ALL of my guns, except 2 have been bought from them. Before the brady bill they had the best selection of semi-auto rifles around, and I have many. They also have a pretty good stock of all the best handguns. Most gun stores sell the same boring guns, but marin firearms has gone above and beyond. Thanks read more
