Since it was gorgeous
Thomas B.

We were greeted like royalty right through the door by Michael and Nassim came over and seated us right away and our view was just stunning. We looked at the special menu that was on the table and I am definitely going to come back and hit some of special that's on it. It just really looks wonderful. My wife absolutely loves the choice that was made to pick this place to have dinner. Just based on our first impressions. Very romantic. I strongly recommend reservations if you can and it's important because not a large restaurant.. The place is very interesting because the bar and the kitchen are in one building and there are only have a few tables there. Understand you are very lucky and book a reservation. They have a wonderful area just a couple steps from the front door that overlooks the harbor and all the boats, and you can sit there with open windows looking out over the water. It was magic. I like to look at this place because it's very well suited for the Bay lifestyle, clean spacious and organized. The staff never leaves you alone for a minute if you need something they're there for you without interfering with your privacy. As it should be. We started off at the clam chowder and then our entrées were shrimp and grits. It looked really amazing and the other entrée that we're having is the crab and yogi special. Of course we shared and management was very accommodating for us. Every dish that we were served right up to the minute, we walked out the door was perfect. The sauces weren't too much. The flavors were perfectly blended together, making these incredible sensations of happiness with foods that you're not too familiar with in some cases. I think there was a lot of thought that went into this recipe and the menu . Be sure when you go to their website and look to look at the photos of the food that they serve there it's very elegant and stylish and a lot of appeal and new flavors that you may be haven't tried before. And I would say bring a date or friends because it's that kind of a place There's no candles, but you don't need candles when you can look at a beautiful sunset. My great thanks to the crew that made our stay a memory that we want to return to and thank you for your hospitality because you wear it on your sleeve proudly and you have done a wonderful job bringing this new restaurant into the area. I'm one happy customer that had a wonderful evening with his beautiful bride, and we will return. Big thank you to Manager Mr Yoon who took my reservation , for a perfect visit.

Luckily, we were able to ammend our reservation by 30 minutes. And glad we did cause they had 2 servers and 3 more parties ended up coming. I Had no idea this place was located here... so close to our home. The ambiance was great we sat at a high table and a wonderful view of the water. I ordered the seafood risotto. You get 2 clams, 2 shrimp, 4 mussels. It was so rich and flavorful! But felt like it could do with a little bit more of risotto. If you were to take out the the seafood, it was less than a 1/4 of a cup. The server really recommended the pastas, but I had so much pasta through out the week that I needed something else. My husband ordered the fish and chips, and the batter on the fish is magnificent! Super crispy. His fish portion was really good. He got 2.5 pieces of fish. We had also ordered a lemonade but it never arrived. They got so busy towards the end of the meal, that we decided lets just get the check and head out. We would definitely try again.

Fish & Chips

This is a great place for dining especially being on or near the water in the marina. The service was beyond excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. The parking is a bit of a challenge so bring your patience. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious and abundant. My wife & sister each had the cioppino and the both finished their food which neither ever do. My brother in-law had the steak and fries, which he loved. We had s'mores dish for desert which was very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and I will come back next time I'm in Northern California

(Korean Steak) ....This is NOT medium-rare - I had to send it back
Jean K.

Sad to report that the chef has changed and the food, which once gave us beautifully balanced sauces and creative food, is no longer as remarkable. The glazed chicken wings are now dessert-sweet, and the seafood pasta had a tasteless sauce. A "Korean Steak - marinated boneless short rib" was ordered medium-rare, came out purple-rare. It was soaked in a super-sweet teriyaki marinade/glaze, and unpleasantly chewy. The tiramisu was pretty good, however. Very disappointed, and probably will drop this off our 'preferred' list. It's a shame as the location is lovely and the parking fairly easy.

Clam chowder

We tried the clam chowder, the shrimp and grits, and calamari. The chowder was delicious but they really skimped on the broth. It felt like a bottom of the bowl portion upon receiving it. Which is such a bummer because I loved the flavor and richness of the broth. It did have a solid amount of clams in their shell, and those were great too. The shrimp and grits were decent, nothing to write home to. It was missing something for me, can't put my finger on it. But it did have a nice little spicy kick. I felt the portion was a little small for the price for this dish. The calamari was delicious and cooked perfectly! Love the bits of fried lemon slices too. Definitely recommend! Our waitress was very sweet as was the hostess who checked us in. I'm excited for when they get their windows fixed so that you can see a direct view of the bay. Oh! And for anyone who has an electric vehicle, there's a Chargepoint slow charger in the parking lot. We were desperate for some miles and that's actually why we chose to eat here, due to the fact there was a charger next to it. Great find!

Cute spot with a view of the harbor. We got takeout since we had read that they had an outdoor seating area and we could bring our little dog. The outdoor area wasn't quite done yet. Fish and chips were tasty. The staff was friendly. We took our food down to the end of the street and sat in the parking lot looking across the Bay at San Francisco.

We came to celebrate Father's Day. The view and bay breeze was nice. We had fish and chips, cups of clam chowder, fried chicken sandwich, crab sandwich, chicken wings and a butter lettuce salad. All tasted good and fresh. I liked the crab salad with the truffle fries. Chowder was a little too soupy for my tasting, I like it thicker. Service was friendly but a little slow. Overall pretty good. I'd come back for the view and some cocktails.

Wonderful place in Berkeley by the marina. Friendly staff and a very tasty menu. My family had a great time with many shareable options on the appetizer menu. Their clam chowder was on point!

Wow. What a hidden gem! We found this place by accident and absolutely loved it! The food was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. Michael was the best! Great view of the marina! Will definitely come back! The fresh fish was done perfectly and the cioppino was super yummy!

Fish & Chips Sometimes you get two huge pieces, sometimes only one ‍
Kayleen R.

Such a beautiful location! They're brand new so they're still working out the kinks but this place is awesome. Service can be slow but very friendly as they launch this great place. Fish and chips is amazing. First time I came there were two huge filets but second time only one. Clam chowder leaves much to be desired-watery and lacking flavor. Actual clams in the chowder was a nice touch. I will continue to come for the view while they keep perfecting this soon to be gem.

We came on opening weekend and had a good time. They were obviously ironing out some kinks at the time, but the bartender was personable and all of the food was well seasoned and delicious. I look forward to eating here again

I was really excited to hear that a new restaurant opened in Berkeley Marina! The place was lovely and located right next to Hana. Free parking and accessible via the 51B. We ordered the Pei Mussels, Dockside Burger & Fries, Dungeness Crab Risotto, and a few cocktails. I LOVED THE mussels (delicious sauce and bread). I also enjoyed the Blue Fin cocktail. The risotto was good but not what I expected. I thought there'd be chunks of crab already in the dish, but you have to crack the crab yourself, so it can get pretty messy. Service was also great, but it was strange that the server asked to record my name and phone number before I could get seated even when I said I didn't have a reservation. (It was around 4pm and there were tons of empty seats anyway.) I gave my personal information but this shouldn't be a requirement to dine!

Was looking on Yelp (obviously, haha) for oysters and came across the listing for Marina Seafood that I hadn't seen before. I was delighted to see that this place had just opened up, so we had to try it out. This restaurant just opened shop on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, so they are still less than a week old. Staff and Service: - Staff members were friendly - Given how new this restaurant is, the members were confused by the tabling system (I.e. which table is which) and served food and checks to the wrong tables. I know they'll get this in no time! - It was a bit concerning that they took so long with our credit cards. Turns out, I was charged for the full bill instead of splitting. I will supposedly get half back in a few days Food and Drinks: - Oysters: Oysters are sold individually and they are from Washington. I couldn't hear the full pitch, but there are different oysters available for $1 more / oyster. The two that I had contained some larger pieces of cartilage than I would have wanted (instead of mainly the meat). The hot sauce that was provided came in a large bottle with a large opening. This caused the hot sauce to come out quickly (even after testing first) - Furikake Fries: the highlight of our visit. These fries were so tasty and came with a gochujang mayo sauce that was delightful. Comes with a little kick, so beware for those that don't like spice. You can request a little container of ketchup instead - Citrus Beet Salad: good size for an individual appetizer or to share with someone else as a side dish. This dish was delightful as well and balanced between the flavors of the beets, goat cheese, and citrus slices - Tamarind Margarita: This was tastier than I thought it would be. I enjoyed the tajin on the rim and the thin slice of lime (rather than a large wedge) Miscellaneous: - Parking is available via a parking lot right outside the restaurant - Heat lamps are placed around the restaurant, providing nice warmth given the open hybrid nature of the restaurant - Enclosed indoor seating is available right across the path where the bar is - Expect amazing views as the seats are strategically placed to get a view of the water and the boats Tips as the restaurant continues to develop: - Provide the small forks for oysters - Provide a different container for the hot sauce so it doesn't all come rushing out (I.e. the same container used for the other oyster sauces) - Provide a small container for salt and pepper instead of one of the servers having to grind pepper on each oyster - Have servers write things down to avoid mixing up orders, forgetting orders, etc. - At one point, there was a significant amount of time in which there were no staff members in the hybrid seating, causing many to wait around - The menu isn't the most kid-friendly - good for date nights, friend groups, family dinners, etc. Excited to come back and see how this place has progressed in a couple months!

A search on this website resulted in Marica having it on their menu. He booked a 7:30 PM reservation for two. We arrived early. What started out as a not too pleasant experience for us was the attitude of the guy who greeted us when we entered the restaurant. Attitude bordered on rudeness (3 star). We somewhat tolerated it, not knowing what to expect next. The restaurant was filled with diners, and the only available seating was not far from the front door. Oh, the chill was in the air, and my not wearing a sweater and/or light jacket to stay warm had me shivering. I had to brave the element (LOL). Since there was no Chilean sea bass on their daily special menu, it took a little longer for my companion and I to peruse the menu, and decide what entrees we were willing to have. Usually I would order an Arnold Palmer as a beverage; however, this time I decided to be adventurous - reisling peach spritz please - to whet my appetite. My date had the Temescal pilsner. Eats: Grilled salmon arange ginger saffron blanc beurre, roasted potatoes and vegetables. Korean short ribs, honey garlic gochujang marinade, mashed potatoes and vegetables. Our meals were on point and bomb-diggity delicious. The arange ginger saffron was perfect with the carrot. It reminded me of glazed carrots. The green beans were fresh and not overcooked. Ooh, the Korean pork ribs were tender and that sauce was sweet and had a subtle kick of spiciness. (Definitely a perfect complement for the pork ribs.) I have to admit the chef knew how to burn. Food tasted so good that figuratively speaking y'all gotta slap the cook and his mama. Ambiance: Comfy and casual. Despite the dining area is small, still it is a great restaurant for dining on a Friday evening. From my perspective and vivid imagination with the indoor lighting, it exuded a romantic atmosphere. Only in my mind I can hear soft jazz in the background. What convinced me to give Marica a 5 star rating? It was none other than Enriqueta, our waitress. She was pleasant, attentive and so accommodating. The chef lost our order ticket; thus, the wait time for our meal took a bit longer than we anticipated. She came to the rescue and comped us with dessert - chocolate souffle with homemade vanilla ice cream. It certainly was a gesture of kindness to have my date and me smiling from ear to ear. Return visit? Yes, mos def...not the rapper for Chilean sea bass. Enriqueta said I can always call to find out what their daily special is.
